Hy guys.
I use my tab every day as router.
When i start my tab and i look in the task manager my ram is by 335 from 748.
When i start usb/wifi theter the ram got every 20 sekonds 1 point.
After 2-3 h the ram is full und the tab shut down.
I have tested it on some stock roms and on broodcomb.
Is that a honeycomb 3.1 bug?
Have anyone the same problem?
With other Android devices it works fine.
Sorry for my english.
Welcome to forums, thread moved to proper section
Hi guys,
First of all, a great (really great !) thanks to all and everyone involved with the JellyBean evervol rom, it work very very well on my dear old N1...
Well, it works very well but not quite flawlessly for me, and since I have not been able to find complaint about this on the dedicated topic in the android dev section, I post my questions here :
Since about one week ago, I remarked that my phone seems often unable to use the 3G connection : I mean I have full scale network with 3G label in the notification bar, but the logo stays grey (not turning blue) and all data request meet a deadend (chrome, news, gmail, ...) while, if I turn wifi on, it works great ...
And since 2 days ago, I started to have another trouble : my sim card just keep locking itself without (apparent) reason, I have to enter the pin code nearly every 5mn ...
No idea of what may be causing that ...
OK, I think I will in some times fall in love with the Nexus 4, but my N1 still working great with this superb Rom, I would like to wait a little (for instance, the time for Google to announce a 32 Go version of their baby ...)
So many thanks to anyone who can help me puting some additional life into this dear N1 ...
For info, I'm running the 3.1.0p1 version of the rom with a 32.50.00.32U_5.12.00.08 radio and I'm running on the Free Mobile network in France ...
I don't know what additional information I could provide to help, or any diagnostic I can run ?
Thank you in advance for your help ...
Hey guys! I have only just joined XDA Developers so please excuse me if I have posted this thread in the wrong area. I have a Samsung Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070) running stock Jellybean firmware (4.1.2 ITV) but as you all know the stock firmware for this device is full of bugs and freezes often. I successfully rooted my device and installed Team Canjica's CM10.2 ROM (4.3) from the thread on XDA Developers but the WiFi wasn't working. I then installed Maclaw's CM11 ROM (KitKat) because I thought that might solve the issue but it didn't. Here are the details:
Device scans for nearby wireless routers.
I type in the password for my home router.
Device saves router. "Saved, Secured" message displayed.
I tap on my home router in the list to connect.
Device says "Connecting" for a couple of seconds and then goes back to saying "Saved, Secured".
I browsed through the forums and some users suggested switching WiFi Frequency to Auto and turning off WiFi Optimisation but neither of those methods worked for me. The ROM was installed successfully and all other features are working properly so I don't think that is the issue. And my router settings are also alright since I am able to connect to it from my Nexus 7 (2013) properly. Can someone please provide me with a working solution for this issue? I will start receiving very high data usage bills soon because my data plan isn't unlimited. Thank you!
Is your ssid hidden (not broadcasted) by any chance? i had those troubles on hidden home network. Sometimes it worked after a while, sometimes it didn't. What helped me is to broadcast ssid for a moment, get connected with phone, remove broadcast (it will reboot router so phone will lose wifi for a moment). Then somehow it got connected normally
Sent from my SGS Adv. using xda-developers app.

I just checked my router settings and SSID Broadcast is enabled. I tried flashing OmniRom 4.3 thinking that this may be because of a problem with CyanogenMod but the problem still persists. Is there any additional kernel that I was supposed to install perhaps?
CyanogenMod 11 version ?

Just a detail to those who have not upgraded to JB stock and think it is impossible to use it without problems:
All bugs and freezes in Stock JB currently are perfectly finished.
I use STOCK, only with modified kernel (cocore 8.2) without freezes or bugs in months of use.
Enjoy the developer's work (cocafe), because without it JB probably would be impossible in SGA. However we have JB 100% functional and bug-free.
About KK and WIFI bugs:
The only KK (or based) ROM that used without WIFI bugs was RR 20140313.
In fact, the only issue is incall vol. in my experience.
WiFi Direct, Camera -> Panorama is laggy , Screen Recorder not working Not Tested
I also noticed that the battery is worse durability.
But I went back to JB Stock -- personal preference.

Actually I did try that method. Flashed Samsung's latest stock firmware I9070XXLQL (ITV) and then rooted and installed CoCore. To be honest overall performance was much better and UI smoothness was improved. But after a couple of days of regular usage with just a few basic applications such as a note taker, train arrival time, WhatsApp etc. the device started freezing up a couple of times a day again. I admit it worked much better than before but freezes and hangs were still quite frequent. Running OmniROM 4.3 now with no issues so far except for dialer FC, laggy panorama and non functional WiFi hotspot.

This means probably you have typed wrong password. Also check that in keyboard it capitalise first letter automatically. forget the network and connect again
WIFI not working with cm-11-20140521-UNOFFICIAL-janice and cm11.0_janice.nova.201406
Same wifi problem with cm-11-20140521-UNOFFICIAL-janice and cm11.0_janice.nova.20140601. Wifi not connecting even after giving the right password (used to work correctly with jb4.1.2 and still works with desktop) only showing saving and connecting wifi. Then the wifi connection is shown to be saved. If wifi does not work with cyanogenmod11, then what's the use of upgrading?
Is wifi is not working in any custom kitkat Rom?
Please suggest a solution.
Try couple times to connect. I remember sometimes I had to reconnect 2-3 times before it gets connection. And the problem with kernel was about WIFI not turning on at all, it was not even search SSIDs.
Hello everyone,
After searching everywhere on the internet(Google and "here on xda"), I have decided to plant a new thread on a strange and weird problem I have with my Samsung Galaxy SIII.
Smartphone Details:
-Phone: Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-I9300
-Android: 4.3 Official
-Rooted: Yes
-Additions: Clockworkmod
I have been searching for a couple of days and I haven't found the solution yet. I have tried multiple solutions regarding SIII related GPS issues:
- Skrews tightening.
- AGPS
- Clear Cache
- Factory Reset
- Reinstall Google Maps
- Reboot...?
I am out of options and I have no idea what's going on. I used GPS Test and GPS Data to see if I get an actual view on any satallites. But not a single satallite is found and it seems as if "GPS" is infinitly repeating on starting itself when I want to use gps for something.
There should be a GIF showing what I mean with GPS repeating search and in GPS Data the app shows GPS going on and off...
The main point is, I'm not getting any GPS signals and I was hoping for someone to know what the solution could be.
Thank you in advance. If anyone knows a thread where the answer is already there, please let me know.
Greetings,
Montana1Jones
Hi There,
I am the owner of an old Samsung Galaxy P8110 (Google Nexus 10), 32gb, Wi-Fi only.
I am not a heavy user, but I am just becoming less and less user since the last software updates (after KitKat), as the tablet is becoming more luggish and slow.
There is the option of rolling back (I can re-upload the firmware that I like more, e.g. the very old 4.1.2. or 4.3), but as soon as the tablet gets hold of a wifi, it automatically download the new software, Lollypop 5.x and installs it at the next reboot.
Is there any chance, mod, third party app to stop the update and make me live happy with an outdated software release ?
Thanks!
