Hi
I updated my HTC One m8 Sprint harman kardon phone to lollipop(5.0.1). I need to unlock it. I root it and s-off it.And flashed a Inser coin 6.0.8. After I used SIM UNLOCK method to unlock it. But the SIM UNLOCK method doesn't work for me. Because it gives an error 'vDM client has stopped'. I think it was beacuse the Lollipop version.
Is it possible to system update after rooting and flashing insertcoin 5 version ?

Please bear with me, first time rooting trying to learn as much as possible.
I unlocked the bootloader of my (formerly stock) Sprint HTC One, installed the latest version of TWRP recovery, and rooted so I have SU access.
I haven't changed the ROM yet, my current version of of the SENSE ROM is 5.0.
I recently switched carriers to AT&T, is there any way to SIM unlock my Sprint device to work with AT&T, and also use the latest version of Android (4.4 KitKat?)
I see several guides out there catering to either or, but not both. The "[Complete guide] to SIM unlock your HTC One Sprint for free" only applies to SENSE ROMs, which doesn't help me.
I need a little guidance here so I don't screw things up too badly.
Even if I were to call Sprint up directly, looking to buy a sim unlock, would that let me use a custom, non-SENSE ROM?
i did the 3rd step from the sim unlock tutorial because im from 4.4.2.. so what i did is downgrade the radio and a sense rom of 4.1.2( s-off, bootloader unlocked and rooted) then i did the one with android terminal emulator but after i reboot i still got no signal then i tried the sprint htc one sim unlock helper but still i got no signal.. i will be going to other country and use my htc one internationally.. what should i do? can any one help me? thank you in advance

Hello i have an htc one m7 that was initially locked to orange, i had it unlocked using a card that was inserted to flash some code.
For this card to be able to flash the code.. the htc was rooted and had S-off.
After the card flash that code i could use any sim in my htc one
Now there is a system update available.
My question is if i update will i lose my unlock, brick my phone ?
What do you guys recommend that i should do ?
Anybody ??
Saw someone said that there's no difference between the cdma version of htc 510 and the gsm version. So I think it can be sim unlocked just like the htc one m7/m8.
Here's what I've tried.
First unlock bootloader at http://www.htcdev.com/
Then root the device as this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/general/how-to-root-htc-desire-510-t2951744
Then following the htc one unlock procedure as this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586704
Since 510 has 4.4.2, so a modified HtcOMADM_SPCS is needed. That's where I got stuck. The modified file shared on the forum causes vDM client crashes, and no API pop out.
Any ideas?
I have the same issue. any ideas?
you have S-OFF ?
This device has lots of potential, maybe we should offer a bounty for this.
Hello Guys,
I just lost my phone and a friend of mine gave me one that he is not using anymore because he did not know how to unlock it so he bought a new one. Now I have that phone and it happens to be an HTC One M7 from Sprint, it is running Android 5.0.2 with HTC Sense 6.0, Software 6.23.651.10. I booted in recovery mode and it says it is Relocked, S-Off, Hboot is 1.61. Also, there is one option that says simlock and if I click on it then it says SD init fail (within the recovery mode menu).
The phone is rooted, I managed to do it via Kingo App and I just need to get it working in another GSM network, I have been looking for information about this but all I have found is info for when we were back in Android 4.2.3 and tried to go with it but it does not work.
If anyone can please help me find a solution so I can unlock this phone I would really appreciate it.
