So I upgraded my T-Mobile Nexus 6 last Friday in only hopes that they finally got WiFi calling enabled. Only to be disappointed again. What started to happen was I started to receive double text messages from everyone. The lasted a couple days. it doesn't seem to be an issue now. I thought it was ironic though because I didn't have that issue in 5.0.1 but some people did, in which 5.1 was supposed to fix. Correct me if I'm wrong?
Anyways, for the past 2 or 3 days, I haven't been getting all of my messages but all outbound messages have been going through. Just this evening at 4:30 I received all of them at once. Anyone have any insight on this? I was coming home ready to try and find a way to revert back to 5.0.1 because I had zero issues then but maybe my phone is good now? Who knows.
My third question is, if I decide to, how can I go back to 5.0.1 using ADB sidebar (the way I went to 5.1)? Google's page only has tgz files yet I upgraded from a zip file.
See phone info attached.
How did you update?
Your baseband version looks strange. I was on the 47D build and the baseband was 95R I am running the 47E now and the baseband is slightly newer 98R.
I believe your issues may be connected to the baseband.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Are you stock? Rooted?

I never even paid attention to the baseband until now. So you might be onto something there. I spoke with a T-Mobile rep today and he said they all just got notified that the 5.1 update is being pushed out today. My phone never got any update of course. I guess I will monitor this board until we all get final confirmation which build is for what. Is it possible to sideload the 47E version and do we know if that's for T-Mobile? The links on googles site are in TGZ format so I'm weary of using those and installing everything individually.

Looks like you flashed a 5.1 ROM but you didn't flash the new bootloader and radio first.

I didn't use this exact article but I upgraded using this same method from a stock 5.0.1. As of right now I locked it since last night.
http://www.droidviews.com/install-android-lollipop-5-1-ota-zip-on-nexus-6-manually/
So to answer your question, stock, locked, and I'm not sure if it's encrypted or not
I'm all good. Updated to 47E. The question is do I go back and lock the bootloader?

Some say it isn't possible, because of the radio version.
Thats not it at all. HBOOT was updated, and as such, keeps the RUU from working.
However:
Anything is possible with Android.
http://androidforums.com/all-things...16-how-revert-back-earlier-version-hboot.html
This method will allow you to remove the OTA by using RUU leaks we already have. I did it myself last night after messing up my phone trying to flash an old radio through clockwork
Read: Its not a radio issue that would keep you from updating, its an HBOOT version issue.
720p OTA Leak:
CID:VZW__001
ROM:1.36.605.0
You need to use the older OS version if you want to revert to an older RUU, I believe. Not sure the CID matters either. The img file I provided that worked, I used HTC_002.

Sweet, didnt know if it did or not.
I am taking a bit of leap of faith here, but I think it all gets overwritten by the RUU anyway.
Any one else confirm this working?

Thanks adrynalyne for putting everything together and making the process way easy!!!
When I've reverted to stock I have a PB31IMG that I use. Sorry for a dumb question but... is this what you mean by using an RUU?
Because the link above makes it seem as if it's on the pc not the sdcard. Maybe I'm missing somthing.

How do I check which radio I have on my phone. I can't seem to locate that info.
Radio is also known as Baseband under the software info.
I would like to know all of the baseband versions for each radio update of:
5.5.893
5.6.893
5.7.893
I have flashed 5.6.893 but i'm on system 5.5.893 at the moment.
my baseband is CDMA_N_03.1C.57R LTEDC_U_05.15.02
it seems as if it never changed
also I seen a screen shot of someone on 5.7.893 radio/kernel/system and they have the same baseband.
Do all three show the same? If so what can we use to show what kernel or radio we have. Is it the build number we look at. If so they are all those values for each update?
Im on 5.7.893, and have the same baseband.

If unlocking the bootloader is the only way of getting the radio files what is this then.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1262540
It has a link for the stock radio. Now this when i got confused.
That is the file for the stock radio, but I don't think you can flash it if you have already updated to a newer one. You can only flash the radio with an "official" moto update. If anyone knows otherwise, please feel free to correct me.
yes i flashed it and it worked now im screwed for now. im on system 5.5.893 with that radio and the newest kernel. system mix match so no updates.

OK. I have been going around in circles for the past 24 hours trying to figure out which version I need to flash in order to actually get any data from the current radio.
I had flashed a version of updated software through stock recovery. I am not sure which one it was now that I have gone in so many circles.
Where I am at now though is that I did a full recovery/forever root and installed cheesecake with the forever root tool. Below is the phone info. Any information will help greatly as I am about to pull what little hair I have left, out!
Thanks for helping the noob.

i just did a factory reset and it fix the market isues with my app. i kept root and stayed on 5.7.893. might work for your data. first try this. i take no credit for this. shut phone off pull batt and sims card reboot phone without sims card. power off insert sims card and reboot. might work
I got it fixed. I forgot that I switch over to my Eris when I was having issues with this update a few days ago. When I got through with the update the phone would show the voice antennae reception, but not data because the 4G sim card was temporarily deactivated. I was a bit tired when I was doing all this and a bit frusterated only to find out most of my issues were caused by myself...Thanks for the help!
It showed up this morning for me on T-Mobile, Folsom, CA. but I didn't go for it yet.
No problems for me so far. Seems about the same as 5.0
Thanks!
Seems like only yesterday I re-rooted after going to 5.0.
My OTA failed. I have put stock recovery back but I am still rooted and have installed the custom LTE radios. Would one of the two be causing the problem?

Yes. Both will cause it to fail.
Flash the factory image manually (leave out the "-w" to keep your data), then re-root / flash radio if desired.

In the past I used to install custom roms. I've stopped but the TWRP was still on there.. and the locked bootloader is a mistake that iv'e made :/
well, got any clue what can I do without opening the bootloader once again?
you could root your phone and reopen the bootloader with an app called boot unlocker.
Long story short, I finally got the job done with Wugfresh Nexus Root Toolkit, what a breeze.
Any changelogs?

This should be your device's matter.
Either reflash the same or try other radio.
Got this OTA after doing an ODIN of EPF1 to my phone. Baseband is updated to match, unsure about bootloader but I doubt it. If someone wants a ROM dump and is willing to tell me how....
I got this update pushed to me also.
Question for anyone who knows: If you flash this do you lose the ability to install custom low level software (firmware, recoveries, etc)?

It's possible, our S6 won't get locked on any 6.0 firmware's
Maybe on 7.0 if we get it. but not 6.0
And for clarification EPH2 was just security fixes.. everything else is still the same.

So I'm downloading at the slow method.. If someone else has not uploaded the image, I will upload it by late tonite..

I'm making my final attempt to upload it onto my Android File Host... It should be up by morning if it uploads correctly.. Just Look For Zaphodspeaks in Android File Host if I haven't posted it yet..
I have many tasks to do this week ends.. Mainly upkeep the the old house and updating some of the old wiring while its getting cooler..
Finally, I uploaded the Image.. I had to recompress it since it kept giving me errors at the very end, just unzip and install in ODIN

Got my phone rooted, custom rom, and kernel that I was using before, no problem.
Last night (9/27) I got a firmware update for my factory USA unlocked 920T. Sammobile shows it was released on 9/26. It was a 50MB file that updated the Android secruity patch date to Sept. 1. No other changes. I noticed the Samsung Smart Manager app/widget shows I'm using 5% less memory now. I don't know if it's better RAM management or Samsung modified the app/widget to show different figures LOL. I suspect the t-mobile 920T will get the update soon.
