As I haven't seen them anywhere, and as ZV3 is the only tot available, I figured I'd pull and upload a few stock update.zips for ADB sideloading to make it easier for anyone flashing back to ZV3 and then wanting to update.

If I'm understanding you correctly, yes, each update has to be installed one at a time. That's how it works - unfortunately there's no way to go directly from ZV6 to ZV9, for example
ls995 zv3 flashable via adb is available
after updating to stock zv3 , when you update firmware, it will download the zv6 to cache folder, don't flash it when it says "install & Restart", instead
copy it to your pc and send it 3 times via adb (you will find tutorial for that: search) - you are gonna be on zv6
repeat the above process for zv7 and zv9
here is the link for flashable zip for
ls993zv3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-flex/general/tutorial-d959-unroot-downgrade-to-t2814158
none
you can start from step 3
by google "美版LS995的4.4TOT zv7 安极"
sorry, can't post links as a new user.
ZV7 or ZV9 TOT needed ..

I had to get a new phone since mine broke and it has the zv8 update already and I want to root so what is the easiest way to go back to zv7 so I can root and flash a custom rom
Download LGNPST from here http://tazr.net/lgrevo/ along with the vs910.dll file and the lg revo AIO and the zv7 gingerbread. Then use LGNPST to bring you back to zv7 then use the AIO to root then if you want to re-update the phone make a local.prop file in data with "ro.kernel.qemu=1" in it then do the OTA update then download the AIO ZV8 and use Option 2 then you'll have CWM and then you can flash the new Broken Out 1.1 rom

This thread ought to help with that a little bit. It has specific directions for flashing back to zv7 or earlier. You might need to do some digging in the replies if you use win7 64bit on your desktop. There are a few issues with it.

Flash v7 using the LGPNST and TOT file. Then root, then follow these instructions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583023
then update to v8
Good luck. You have about 2hrs worth of stuff ahead of you to bring you current with root.

I checked the guide for returning to stock and I understand the instructions but it seems that all the links for the stock rom are dead. Does anyone have one stored on dropbox or another server?

Firstly this is devlpment section..dont put questions here as a thread..!..u can ask questions in respective thrads only or in general thread..
..u can use latest v21D kdz file there which is very stable..

Sorry I was reading and checking a lot of things this morning. I thought I had posted this in the general section.. MOD please move this to general...
I can get the kdz files with no problem but just flashing them won't take me back to stock will it? I think I just need a stock version of GB for this phone. I'm already on the stock v20p baseband.
You can delete this thread if you like. I figured it out. I'm just using the LG Flash tool and "upgrading" to the v20p kdz again. This will take the phone back to stock and I will even lose root access. But I don't need the root access... I just need it back to stock with everything formatted so that I can sell it Thanks.

Flash a froYo baseband like V10K, then flash the zip.
I saw that in the guide but the links wouldn't work for me and every thing I googled wouldn't work either. But no worries. I just flashed the ATT stock GB baseband with the lg updater that worked like a charm.

Well because i can never leave things alone until i get what i want, i ended up soft bricking it again. I flashed the modem from 4.2.2 ATT to the D-FUSE Rom and somehow it wiped my backup and custom recovery, so i wasnt able to restore, or edit the build.prop because it was in a boot loop.
To get out of the boot loop and the cross Dl error this time, i edited the the tot file with HrHex editor to change the hardware ID. once you open the tot file just ctrl+f Find D950 and change it to whatever hardware your device is (just the first instance, no need to change the software version id), use the universal dll file to flash the edited tot.
Once it finished flashing the ATT 4.4.2 tot, i was able to root it with stumproot and install freedom flex recoveries on the stock KK 4.4.2 image.
I am going to attempt flashing the ATT 4.4.2 modems this time on top of the D-FUSE T-Mobile Rom.
If anyone knows the correct sequence of wiping/flashing to get my desired affect of T-Mobile Rom with ATT Modem working please let me.
Also, if these updates are annoying please let me know. I have yet to find a complete place that has all the fixes for these errors. My hope is this helps someone else messing around with these files and getting into trouble.

I have it resolved, while in the DFUSE ROM, download ES File Explorer and edit the build.prop hardware id to match D950. Turn off phone and leave it off, get your flash tool ready with the tot file loaded and the D950 dll.
If you have already set your com to 41 for the USB port/phone then first hit the arrow for the flash tool to say ready, then put the phone in download mode, and it will start flashing the phone.
Has anyone ever tried to backup EFS and Modem from factory image, than flashing it over the DFUSE ROM?

I have the ATT D950 (LG G Flex), i decided against the better judgement of the forum post to flash the DFUSE kit kat Tmobile Rom.
Now i cannot recover using any flash method, including using the D959 dll and the universal dll with the att tot's.
Would someone happen to have a ATT D950 Rom, so that i can flash over what i have now to change the hardware ID from D959 to D950 or does anyone have a sure way of me flashing the tot file with the current discrepancy.

I used the build.prop of D958.
flashed D95820a tot to LS995 and before that I backed up boot and modem from twrp in LS995ZV7.
then after flashing stock tot d958 i rooted, twrp, then restored the boot and modem backup.
NFC isnt working but everything else is.
i am in need of the link to download the latest lollipop firmware on lg g2 verizon brand in TOT extension. i.e vs9803AA.tot please pals
I have not been able to locate the 3AA TOT file, unfortunately. However, here is a link to the 3AA KDZ if that would help - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087007457
I successfully flashed this KDZ using LG Flash Tool - no issues whatsoever. Good luck!
