It is solved! For the answer look at my post below
Hello guys,
phone HTC one M8 Harman Kardon Edition
Happens that in my urge to unlock my phone sim lock I firstly changed the MID to unlocked SIM Dev edition MID and CID to SuperCID, well that went great until I was dumb enough to try to flash a Dev edition RUU to the phone and then i lost my TWRP recovery and everything went haywire. cause now i try to flash Recovery through fastboot and it suceeds but the phone gets stuck in entering recovery, Im not able to flash a Sprint RUU for HK because 1. i havent found one and 2. it probably wont load because of the MID which is 0P6B1200 if im correct.
please help me either load the Custom recovery so i can have access to adb, or any other way to fix it.
thank you!!
if someone could please give me any ideas, or contact anyone who could help me, it would be greatly apreciated, i can pay up to 20 usd through paypal if anyone can help me!!!
Change your MID back to Sprint and run the Sprint HK RUU...should be good to go.
Nevermind.. As long as you see hboot menu and capable to select different options you are safe and in healthy state.. Even if you want to brk things.. You won't be able to brk.. Just flash twrp 2.8 again using fastboot commands.. You should back on track...
thank you but no

I dont know what is going on but i did that already, even trying the new recovery image, and it gets stuck in the Entering Recovery... step
"Fastboot erase cache" and make sure you are flashing the correct version of twrp(change the MID back to the original one, this is dangerous if there is hardware difference across the 2 MIDs)
Guys all off your help was greatly apreciated but there was something wrong
Ok guys so I was able to fix it.
Although it looked like it was easy to flash the twrp recovery, remember I ran the ATT RUU so the hboot was wrong according to the phone. This means it wouldnt flash the recovery correctly, however something strange happened when i tryed to entered recovery after flashing, it would connect to the computer. When that happened the only thing i thought was that twrp has adb interface, so i instantly checked devices and proceeded to change back the MID. Once that was through i flashed Android 4.4.2 Sprint RUU non HK since the HK was giving unlock issues, then, pasted the Modded HtcOMADM_SPCS.apk and did the
Su am start com.redbend.vdmc/com.htc.omadm.test.TestMainActivity
Then clicked on sim lock
(You must be rooted and check for the moded file in the sim unlock thread on the general section)
And now i was fully funcional and GSM unlocked outside US.
I proceeded then by flashing HK lollipop RUU and then i was back on track.

Did you try to flash the latest RUU 5.03.651.3? If not, then download it from this site and follow the instructions in the OP. The MD5 for this RUU is 9ae375b6022e823fa4f90226115b0c54. Double check the MD5 to ensure you didn't have a corrupt download. If you are still S-ON, then you will have to re-lock your bootloader prior to running this RUU.
so i restored my phone to stock using the ruu you gave me but when it boots up it shows the lock screen then when i unlock it it shows a white screen with a green htc logo and i can just see the status bar if i pull down from the top
and its still rebooting every few min and it shows htc.htcdialer not responding
and i cant flash a custom recovery

The RUU should have put everything back to stock. Did the RUU complete properly without any failures? You can try and run the RUU again paying close attentions to the steps and double check the MD5. If that doesn't work, then download the firmware from the same site and flash it. This will give you the correct radio, hboot and stock recovery. Are you able to get to Settings and check About to see if your imei and baseband are present? If not, it may be a hardware issue which would require returning the phone to Sprint or HTC.

1. Did you run the RUU again?
2. Did you flash the firmware?
3. Are the baseband & imei in your Settings?
4. Do you mean you have an unlocked SIM to Cricket?
One of the fixes for htcdialer is to do a factory reset in bootloader, another was to reinstall the radio. If you were to flash the stock firmware, it would have accomplished both of these objectives. Prior to flashing it, copy what you can off of your phone and save to your computer. Note: For most GSM phones (yours is a CDMA) when you flash the firmware it fails on this command fastboot flash zip firmware.zip you just have to re-enter the command a second time. If it works the first time thru then great.

yes i ran the RUU more than once
by what firmware do you mean?
no my baseband and imei are UNKNOWN in settings but when i do fastboot getvar all it shows them
and no i took it to a phone store and they flashed it to cricket since they said that the sprint gsm radios wouldnt work with cricket
i havent tried the factory reset in my bootloader yet because i flashed CM11 M9 SNAPSHOT so it would work because no matter what sense-based rom i flash it comes up with the htcdialer and i have tried to flash every sprint radio i could through CWM but when i restart it it shows an unknown baseband
Hi All,
I'm new here and I came here because of some verizon HTC One (M7, cid = vzw001) troubles.
Last year when I got the phone I was intent on making it like a Google play edition phone. I did rumrunner to get s-off and I unlocked the bootloader somehow (I don't remember) and rooted it. I tried flashing a GPE rom but being a noob, I flashed a GSM rom and it did not boot. In a frantic effort to make my phone usable I downloaded a deodexed verizon stock rom and flashed it, and thankfully it worked. I was able to get the Sense 5.5 OTA update after that. A little while later, I installed TWRP because I did not have a recovery at all. Now the Sense 6 update has been out for awhile now and I had tried updating to it but it would take me straight to TWRP and stop. Later on I read about how TWRP stops OTA updates so I installed a stock recovery. I also uninstalled root. Today I looked at my mom's HTC One, and I looked at her stats under Recovery Menu:
hboot: 1.57
radio: 1.13.41.0.421
OS: 4.10.605
I flashed a 1.13.41.0.421 radio and updated somehow the hboot got updated when tinkering and now all those specs match my Mom's, but it is obviously not the same OS. My phone from the settings says it is 4.4.2, 3.11.605.1.
What can I do to essentially return it to fresh out of the box state with restored ota capability? I want to be able to update normally like my Mom's phone and I don't care about root access. I'm not sending it in for warranty do I don't care about turning S-ON or dealing with tampered flags.
Also I'm sort of a noob. I only have a basic idea on how to use fastboot, so a step by step walkthrough would be helpful.
Thanks,
sugehtc

Here is a step by step instructions for returning to stock. There is a Verizon HTC One Forum which has a ton of information much more than this forum. The Verizon phone is very different than the GSM version.

I read the thread but the link to the decrypted ruu was gone.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I flashed a 1.44 hboot
and the did fastboot reboot-bootloader
it went to a bootloop and I cant use fastboot
When I plug in my phone to the computer
my phone never says fastboot usb
Windows also says "malfuctioning device"
When I press power on
It goes to boot loop
I can enter the recovery menu
I have no idea how to use adb.
I think I'm screwed.

It looks like you got a corrupt hboot flash. I hope you got the hboot from the Verizon forum instead of this forum. This forum is geared to the GSM phones not the CDMA phones. You need to find a hboot for a Verizon phone in zip format to flash in recovery. The hboot controls the bootloader, so this could be the issue.
If you get that straighten out and you are able to use fastboot again, this post has a stock rom and firmware you can flash. Then you would have been back to stock. Spend time in the Verizon forum.

I did get it from the verizon section.
But I have no custom recovery and no fastboot
I can't adb sideload either.
What should I do?
Hello,
I am new to xda forum and expecting a helping hand from fellow members, here's the scenario, I have a sprint htc one which was working fine a few days ago before i decided to act smart .
It was rooted when i purchased it so i thought of flashing a new custom rom into it.I tried flashing (HTC_One_-_MaximusHD_53.0.0) and this one (NuSenSeveN-LP-m7-Sprint_v4.02_050715) and ended up being stuck at green HTC logo, even though the physical buttons are performing their respective functions when pressed but the screen shows just the htc one logo and nothing else.
It is unlocked, tampered and s-on and i have twrp recovery on board, hboot 1.57.0000
WHAT I HAVE ALREADY TRIED AND FAILED:
1) tried rum runner to turn s-off because i though may b because of s-on the roms are not being flashed properly but it says adb device not found
2) tried flashing Bad_Boyz_Sprint_ONE_M7_Lollipop_v2.0 but stuck at handsfree activation, even though i deleted htcwizard.apk.
Now the bottom line is, I am unable to use my device and in desperate need of your help.
Please respond, awaiting to put my hand back on the device.
Thank You
Flashing MaximusHD_53.0.0 messed up your partitions (it's not Sprint compatible as far as I know) and NuSenSeveN you have to fastboot flash the kernel separately ( I had the same problem lol)
The easiest fix would be to run the latest RUU and start fresh, then only flash roms that are Sprint compatible.

Hey thanks for the response, I am not tech geek so I have no idea how to flash the latest RUU can you please be more specific about how to perform the above mentioned process or can you have a chat on hangouts as I have altready added you on it.
Thanks alot
Try to flash ruu which could be found on other posts do u know how to boot into the bootloader?
problem solved
Update: thanks to @Sloth I have fixed the problem, if anyone out there who owns a sprint htc one and have messed up his phone by flashing an incompatible rom the way i did, first relock your bootloader if you are s-on and then simply download RUU file from htc official website, make sure its for sprint variant.
Once the bootloader is relocked simply run ruu.exe file that you have downloaded and you are done.
Note: if the ruu setup says that you phone is not connected or gets stuck, boot into recovery and perform factory, after that re-try running ruu.
Thanks Sloth, and thanks xda members
Huge amount of frustration with trying to deal with my phone
I soft bricked my HTC One M8 HK not too long ago, and had left it sitting in the dust for a while as I had no options of fixing it because I wiped the memory on accident (how I did, I don't know. Guess I'm dumb. That's not the point though). It's been sitting on my dresser for about 2 months being unused as I had no microSD cards in hand. All it had was an unlocked bootloader and working TWRP.
As of right now, I've tried to install 4 ROMs. All 4 did not work. I followed the instructions and unlocked my bootloader and did all other essential things. I installed ViperOneM8 before being ignorant that my WiFi wouldn't work. It was the only ROM I installed that actually booted properly. The only issue was that I had no WiFi. Had it worked, I wouldn't be making this thread. Then I got Android Revolution HD, installed it and it installed properly. I booted it into system, and it brought me to bootloader. This was the same issue I had while trying to install my first ROM, and still happens. Then I got CyanogenMod, and it didn't even install. TWRP told me it failed right off the bat. Same thing with whenever I tried to install a stock firmware recovery of the variant I have, HK Sprint.
Right now, I'm getting the 4.2.5 HK RUU in hopes that it works. I tried it previously, and it was a literal waste of time. I've been here for 5 hours trying different ROMs and to no success. I was very faithful I would get to use my phone again, although unless this RUU actually works, I don't have a lot of positive faith for my phone.
Are there any fixes for getting something like CyanogenMod to work? I actually really wanted this ROM after I remembered it, and was quite let down after it failed to work. Also, is there anything I should do with the phone before I go farther with anything?
Thanks for any help you all can give, I would greatly appreciate it. Sucks not having a phone, so I'll take any help I can get. Thanks once again!
EDIT: The RUU did not work. It failed to update. Waiting for answers I guess..

Flashing RUU requires locked bootloader.
Alright, I'm seriously about to just throw this thing in the dumpster. I've been here another 2 hours trying to get Cyanogen to work, and I figured out the issue with it. The updater script file wasn't accepting m8_whl. I'm still unaware how in the Mod Edit I'm supposed to put m8_whl into the script for it to be accepted.
To be more specific, the actual updater script has m8whl, while my phone recognizes as m8_whl. It denies it.
I thought I put it into the script correctly, although it is not accepting it. I found a quote not saying the location, and I assumed in the latest release of Cyanogen 12 for M8s, it was in /META-INF/google/android/updater-script
Please, someone help me before I have an anger episode. This thing has literally wasted my whole Mod Edit day.

Don't toss it, it's still worth something, even if not to you. But as @popthosegaskets said, you need to relock the bootloader to flash the RUU. If it's been sitting for awhile, what version of firmware and hboot was it on prior to not working? Perhaps the issue is that it's older, also try flashing the newest version of TWRP if you still want to install a custom OS.
If you want to RUU, just use the fastboot command "fastboot oem lock" while in fastboot and then run the RUU. I think it reboots after locking.

[Mod hat on] I know it can be frustrating at times but please take it easy with the swearing. [/Mod hat off]
You might try flashing the Full firmware that matches the RUU that you are trying to flash, the past couple updates require hboots to match on both your device and the RUU or you will get an error.

My apologies for the swearing, was angry at the time.
Also, my hboot version seems to be 3.18. Not sure what to do in order to be able to flash firmware. My OS version seems to be 2.16.651.4 as well if that helps.
What would I have to do in order to install a ROM and how?
If you are not flashing the full firmware to begin with, that's the issue. From your OP it looks like you only have an unlocked BL and had TWRP.
You must relock the BL and then run the full RUU, you can get it in the thread here, or get it from HTC. Either way you need the full one, it flashes the FW and Software as well as bootloader and radios.

Are you S-Off or On? If you are running the *.651* then that's the non HK version. It's ok if you flashed a modified stock, but if you got that from an RUU, that would be what the issue is. I think

Ok re-lock your bootloader if you have not already.
Flash this for Non HK 4.25.651.18 Full Firmware
Flash this for HK 4.25.654.18 Full Firmware
Instructions:
-rename firmware to firmware.zip
-copy firmware.zip to your sdk folder
-boot into bootloader
-plug in usb
-select fastboot option (screen should say fastboot usb)
-type fastboot oem rebootRUU
-when u see the black screen w/ HTC, type fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
-when it's done, type fastboot reboot
Once done flash the latest Non HK or HK RUU found here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173
Then unlock your bootloader again using the unlock code you got from HTC.
Re-flash the latest TWRP found here... https://dl.twrp.me/m8/
This will give you a fresh start then you can try to flash the rom you want.

If you have a platform-tools you can use that or use the folder attached.
Unzip it and copy the files to a folder.

Alright, I did it all, but it doesn't seem to be changing once I send over the zip. Is it meant to take a while or is there something wrong?
EDIT: 20 minutes later and still at the sending. Something probably went wrong.
EDIT 2: 30 minutes later, still sending.

Not sure what the issue here is then. As I write this, it is still sending. I'm not sure what the issue is...
Check PM.
Brought a M7 off New Zealand trading site like ebay.
It came with a htc one soul xiaoxiang 8002_x21.0 rom, one i have been unable to find.
But i went ahead a threw the stock RUU at it and now no matter the rom's i flash my phone with im getting no signal, no sim card.
As far as i have played around its the radio, i recall that the xiaoxiang had a "radio" and "beats audio" app? but all the Sprint roms i have tried, about 10 havn't had the radio fix nor have any of them helped.
Feels like im going round and round in circles.
Can anyone suggest a rom or a fix?
I brought this model of phone because i wanted to abuse the infrared blaster and that was the driving factor i reverted to a stock ruu. But at this stage i just want to be able to use my New Zealand sim card!
Hello, what is your CID AND MID?

hey bro i solved this problem by
(a)make a backup of the rom by twrp
(b)factery wipe the phone including OS i.e SYSYTEM
(C) Let it boot up till it gets stuck on the htc logo since it has no OS
(D)power off, go into boot loader and on fastbootusb type "Fastboot oem rebootRUU"
(E)THEN FLASH THIS RADIO "1.01.20.1225_6.16.651.2_radio"
(F)after youve flashed it reboot in to bootloader (Fastboot reboot-bootloader) and confirm if you have the radio
(last)restore your backup from twrp and enjoy

Still have this issue, upgraded to 7.1.1
As far as i know, its some sort of sprint lock.
The phone is GSM, but it doesnt matter if im running fireware from when the phone was first released or the lastest update, nothing solves the issue.
There has to be a file or script in the root files that has disabled this function.
