Hello everyone,
I am trying to install CWM recovery for Xiaomi Mi3 using rayglobe tool. The attached screenshot shows that my phone is just not recognized by the Rayglobe tool when in fastboot mode. I noticed this issue after trying to flash the cwm recovery 2 times before.
I have installed MiPhone manager for the drivers. Also installed "15 seconds adb and fastboot" tool, but the problem still persists. I am using Windows 8 OS on my computer. I would be very thankful if someone could help in finding the right fastboot drivers or just solving the issue.
Thanks!
Help anyone?? I have searched about this issue alot before posting here...So...

Seriously? you name a thread about fastboot and you are using some tool to do what a single fastboot command can do.
Does the below command that hard to execute?
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Hello! Can someone please help me.. Ive been reading and reading different threads and cant come up with a clear solution to my problem...
So I have a rooted KF2 and I am able to get it into fastboot using :
adb shell
su
reboot bootloader
But now what? IDK what to do next. How do I get TWRP onto the device? Once in fastboot it just seems to sit there and do nothing. Ive tried in fastboot mode typing :
fastboot -i 0x1949 boot Downloads/openrecovery-twrp-2.3.3.1-blaze.img
but it just comes back 'waiting for device' and nothing happens. Do I not have the correct fastboot drivers on my comp? Please help. Im using windows 8 too. Not sure if that is making a difference or not?

Type "fastboot -i 0x1949 devices" and tell me what it says?
Also... Everything but the ROM and gapps needs to be in the same folder as your fast boot and adb. So it needs to be in the platform tools folder of the android sdk

In fact I believe that your issue is that your files aren't where they need to be. Cm10.1 and gapps go on the kindle, everything else needs to be in the platform tools folder of the android sdk:good:
also make sure you are not on a USB 3.0 port.

Hello.
I have a KFHD 7" happily running under Hashcode's CM10.0. I'd like to update to kitkat.
For that, it seems I need to upgrade my recovery from TWRP 2.4 to 2.7. ( If the rom should install under TWRP 2.4, let me know, cause I got an error when I tried. )
So, after messing a bit with my drivers, I got ADB to work fine.
However, I need fastboot to update recovery. My Kindle can go into fastboot, no problem.
But windows just won't recognise it. "Fastboot devices" always show no devices connected.
I tried with various drivers ( including those from QEMU thread ) on 2 differents computers.
So I'm starting to wonder if there is something I missed in the virious threads. Is there something I should know that would prevent me from seing the device under fastboot but not ADB ?

If you have the image, try using FireFlash by stanga72. Just place the image on the sdcard, open fireflash, select "Flash Recovery" and choose the image. Hit Flash, and reboot into recovery.

For some reason, Kindle devices won't be recognized in fastboot without the specific flag "-i 0x1949". For example, "fastboot devices" becomes "fastboot -i 0x1949 devices" and "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" becomes "fastboot -i 0x1949 flash recovery recovery.img".
I'm positive this is the issue.
Have a nice day!

Hello everyone,
as title says, im stuck on booting HTC Desire C device. HTC logo on white background with "this build is for development purposes only...", cycling over and over. Mistake i made is when i was using 'All-In-One-Kit-v2.0' i forgot to install CMW, flashed "boot900.img" wich is overclocking kernel, flashed it, powered off the device, turned it back on and got stuck there. Im struggling whole morning to get this done... searched whole google about this, tried to flash "recovery.img", flashing new ROMs, unfortunately, nothing has been done. Hopefully you could help me and i would really appreciate that. Im newbie here, my english is not that good soo..
Turn it off, press volume down key, and hold it with power until you get to fastboot. Then connect it to your PC, and flash a Cwm, and then lower frequency kernel...

If you could explain to me how to flash cwm while im in fastboot, it would be really awesome... Btw "thanks" button is hit!
There are plenty of similar topics here so read around for details, but the command itself is fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Recovery.img should be your cwm ...

Well I think i got everything set up... but i ran into a problem last night. It happens i cant find my device attached under "adb devices". I have installed drives needed, installed adb and fastboot on pc, nothing seems to work with me... Its driving me crazy..
You can't find it because adb works only if it is booted. Try typing fastboot devices

Yes. Or you could type the whole path to fastboot file... I think that it's easier to put it in program Files...

Yep, it is in the same folder as adb and fastboot and im getting this message after "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img": "Error: cannot load 'recovery.img'"
Well now I really don't know. Try fastboot boot recovery.img as a temporary solution... That should just boot that recovery, without installing it to partition.
Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk
Hmmm... it says for recovery.img no such file or directory even tho it is in c:\adb
Sent from my GT-I9082 using Tapatalk
I just tried "fastboot flash recovery C:\adb\recovery.img"
And i got this:
"sending 'recovery' (4888KB)...
FAILED (command write failed (Invaild argument))
Finished. Total time: 0.031s"
Im really trying to solve this out, it is bugging me whole day...
EDIT: I tried different cables, different usb ports, placing recovery.img into different folders and fastbooting from there. Nothing seems to help...

Bump... anyone? Please?
Do you have a sync manager program installed? If so, uninstall it (it should leave the drivers installed) and try again, the sync manager identifies your handset and takes control so flashing gets interfered with
What version of Windows? (I've not read whole thread) Win7 upwards has driver install problems so search the forums/threads
Only use on USB 2.0 ....3.0 is a higher speed than our handsets are capable of

Hey guys. As the title suggests I had an issue installing CyanogenMod on my Xperia Z. Followed the step instructions for Install_CM_for_yuga page. Got to step 8 then nothing. Couldn't get adb to see my phone. I decided to retreat and use Sony's Emma prog. to fix my phone. Anyone know where I went wrong here ? I followed it step by step. First time doing this I might add so i've little-no experience with this. Thanks for any help given
You should have adb and fastboot drivers installed in your PC,then adb will recognise your phone....
If you are on win 8 or 8.1 ,then you have to reboot into advance mode and then disable signature verification, then you will be able to install drivers
Unless adb has different drivers from fastboot I've fine that. Fast boot recognised my device just adb didn't.

To which version did you try to upgrade?
You need to use a special mfastboot rather than normal fastboot.

Are you using the fastboot device command first to make sure your phone is being detected ?
Are you using a batch command or are you entering each command manually ?
It seems like you are missing a step ??

Use easy installer. Go to YouTube...search how to restore xt1068(i know yours is xt1080 but do it)the video is by ashwin tech. The first comment has a link to it. Download and put it in the extracted folder of the stock ROM files and click on easy installer.bat
The sequence is 1,3,5,4. Click these numbers and voila!
What file format is the Rom ? What are you using to flash the Rom ?
Hopefully CMKdaGreat has you on the right path

Make sure you use the administrator command window in the folder that has all the boot.img, rom etc

Did you try connecting with the administrator command window ? Some 123 options for rom installation are done with a batch (bat) or execution (exe) files in windows ...also what version of windows are you running ?
