What would be the best armor/protective case for the G2 with a small size?
Not as big as an Otterbox Defender, nothing bulky...
But not as thing as a thin TPU case...
Looking at the SPIGEN Slim Armor right now, seems appealing but also kind of thin.
I love my slimArmor, It is a bit thin on the face side but that's where I have the iLoome Flex glass protector on. Hopefully in a drop the iLoome cracks and my screen stays in one piece.
If you want less than the defender then try the otterbox commuter. I have it for mine and I don't regret it at all, very reasonable thickness with a nice lip on the front for a case this protective, plus none of the button problems that seem to plague the defender series

I'm really into having front face protection.

It's a very thin case, with almost zero rim. Thinner than the Slim Armor, if the photos of the latter are correct. Like 1mm of rim, which is barely that tall. The only cases with less rim that I've seen are the official QuickWindow case and maybe the Feather.

I bought it for my wife's Verizon G2, the pink one. It is a very good case, a good mix of protection and being slim. The plastic back has a matte finish a has a slight grip to it.So nice in fact, I just bought the white one for my newly purchased G2. :good:
My Verizon LG G2 came with a white/grey Incipio DualPro case. My initial feeling toward it is that the silicone is too flexible and pulls too easily away from the top and bottom front faces of the phone. While putting the outer shell on the phone, it felt like the case just wouldn't be stiff enough, but now that it's on the shell isn't so bad. The case has decent grip, but the white color of the outer shell picks up color from your pocket (or whatever else it rubs up against for a bit). I really like how the rear buttons are covered up, yet actually easier to use because of the more pronounced power button bulge.
On my previous phone (a Verizon Samsung Galaxy SIII) I regularly used a pebble blue TPU case from Belkin, but also had a blue Otterbox Commuter for when I'd go camping and hiking. I quite liked the Commuter and will compare the Incipio DualPro against it.
I've been using a Diztronic matte black TPU case for the last week (my first full week with the device). Now I've switched over to the Incipio to check it out. I'll give it as long as I can stand it and will post back here.
Anyone checkout or have experience with the trident cyclops case for the g2? I used it on my moto x, for the protection it offered, really didn't have much bulk, was thinner then the commuter. Found a good deal on a g2 cyclops thinking on checking it out.

Just ordered a poetic invictus. For under $10.00, it seemed like a high quality case.

24 Hour update: I've spent 24 hours with the Incipio DualPro case on my Verizon LG G2. It is definitely growing on me. While the slightly rubberized hard shell feels slightly slippery to the touch, it is grippy on most surfaces when set down. The case seems to offer protection on par with an Otterbox while feeling better. There's very little added bulk with this case, considering what it's offering in terms of protection.
The case looks good from the back, but I'm not too keen on the white shell peeking around the front edges of the phone (or with how it picks up colors from rubbing on its surroundings). The grey inner shell looks good enough that it's not distracting. Had I purchased the case separately, I would definitely have gone with the black case. But I don't feel strongly enough to buy the black version as a replacement for the white/grey case I already have.
I'm happy with this case and would recommend it.

Received my black Invictus today and it's going back. I'm not impressed. The biggest thing is the cutout at the top left corner the pics on Amazon don't show it but it's there and annoying. The plastic is glossy and looks to scratch easily. The kickstand is just a flap cut out of the back of the case and doesn't snap into place very well. I was expecting a somewhat more premium case. Obviously not high end but better than this.

Today I tried switching back to my Diztronic case because I'm tired of the white/Grey color scheme of the Incipio case. I couldn't do it. I've grown used to the way the Incipio case covers the rear buttons and actually makes them easier to use.
But it turns out that I really do feel strongly enough about the color to have ordered a black version of the Incipio. It should get here in a couple of days. Hopefully it feels the same as this white one.

I really like my incipio dualpro. it's really thin but it's survived a couple drops already. my only complaint is the back is kind of slippery and I could see it slipping out of my hand (hasn't happened yet)
Having used the Slimarmor and the Diztronic TPU, I just recently moved over to the Tech 21 D3O case from Tmobile and I'm loving it.
With the slimarmor I felt it being a bit bulky as well as pretty slick at times. With the diztronic, I didnt feel as if there was enough protection if I were to ever drop the phone.
Looking at the videos of drop tests online for the d3o material, I was sold. The fit is snug, the only bulk added is on the edges where the d3o material is. The textured tpu is nice to hold and doesn't feel slippery, plus I feel much more confident in the event if it were to ever drop on the corners/edges of the phone. For the front face drops, hopefully the Glass M protector I have will take the impact.
Very satisfied with the Tech 21 case and would recommend to anyone looking for slim and protective. They have them in the Tmobile stores so you can definitely try it out first before you buy!
I have the Seidio Surface case and holster. I really like the holster but the case doesn't seem like it gives much protection. Anyone familiar with a case that will give more protection but still fit the holster.? I've tried a couple from Ebay that look slim but protective in the pictures but tend to be pretty bulky in hand. A kickstand would be nice but that's not a deal breaker.
Ballistic SG Shell Gel Protective Case
I used to have a Razr i before my LG G2.
The Razr i was tough by its own and still I had a "trident aegis" case for it, I could throw it meters and was always nice.
G2 seems way more fragile, but the trident series for the G2 are really creepy awful. So with a little research I came across this nice piece of plastic protection the "Ballistic SG Shell Gel Protective Case", checked some youtube videos of drop tests and reviews.
I bought it on ebay today, so now I'm waiting to arrive.
Hopefully its as nice as it looks.

I actually just bought this case the other day here in the US and I'm going to return it to amazon. The fit and finish is poor. You can hardly press the volume or power buttons. The plastic outer casing is very cheaply made - it doesn't fit right with the inner soft shell. It holds grime and smudges very easily. I would not recommend this case at all.

I bought the Tudia case for my wife's Moto G and it's very much like an otterbox. The inner lining is pretty tough and hard to press the buttons but I foresee that it will wear in over time. Looks really nice and protects the phone well. It didn't come with a screen protector though.

Nope
I have a different case from Tudia from Amazon and it is just perfect. ( picture attached ).
I have found a similar item, which might be a close match to what you're looking for on aliexpress
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Newest-Double-Tough-Hybrid-Slim-Armor-Back-Cover-Case-For-Moto-G2-G-1-XT1063-XT1069/32253204537.html
You might want to check that out, as I believe they will surely ship to India.
I have the same TUDIA case and consider it one of the better cases I've owned. The buttons are a little stiff, but I can still push them with very little effort.
Hi.
I'm looking for ultra thin case for LG G2. Can any reg. any good?
Also interested in this, I'm checking out the ones on ebay from China that reviewers have said is very thin (<1mm). But was hoping to find the thinnest possible case without having to resort to a skin.
The ultra thin ones from china are only good for scratch protection, but don't help at all (as I found to my cost) if the phone is dropped. I also found they're not very grippy, making it more likely that you will drop it.
Depending on your carrier, but the Vzw model Incipio DualPro is minimum bulk, buttons on the back are covered, and provides a good grip. The non Vzw one doesn't cover the buttons, unsure about the thickness comparison.
Not sure what super thin is, but I use the Tudia Melody and am a fan of it.
I've used the Incipio Feather. That is the thinnest case you can buy. It is also super awesome matte rubber like touch feel and high quality plastic. I just purchased a new one after original 2013 case was sort of a dingy blue.
http://www.amazon.com/Incipio-Feather-Case-Verizon-Packaging/dp/B00F4AYBPG
I just picked up the teal/light blue one the other day for $5 shipped. It is a little pricier now but normally run $24ish.
For as thin and skimpy as they are, my G2 looks flawless for having been dropped many times on concrete and hardwood. My case corners had a few scratches but the phone itself is protected. The case provides a small lip to protect the screen and grabs the corners to catch drops.
It is the only case I will buy.
Yesoo slim from amazon. Its the thinnest and has a great matte finish liket he nexus 5. Better than the super slick G2 back.

I've got two of these cases and have ordered two more: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HOT-Ultra-T...Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&var=&hash=item20f131738a
Second two haven't arrived yet and I ordered two weeks ago but a long delivery time from China is to be expected. For ~69p delivered you can't go wrong!
Very thin, almost don't feel it other than it being a more pleasant matte texture. Not very hard wearing, mines got scratches on after about a month, but I intended for it to be sacrificial anyway as they are so cheap.
http://www.amazon.com/MPERO-SNAPZ-R...=1423222408&sr=1-4&keywords=mpero+lg+g2+snapz
This case is wonderfull. I ordered it, but can't use it because i use tempered glass protectors that case would work only with a smaller one glass or with plastic screen protectors. But it has the nexus feel and is extra slim. Try it guys, very cheap and very good quality
I personally do not like TPU cases. They are too thick and add a huge lip around the screen which makes it hard to get to the edge (especially on the LG G2's screen).
And all TPU cases feel the same to me. The Incipio Feather is a hard shell and snaps to the back. It is pretty difficult to remove, even after owning my last one for a year and a half.
I have one of these an its very unobtrusive, and more grippy than the bare phone - it clips on very securely and protects the corners which is all I want.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FRFT3PG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
BUT I suspect if you drop the phone the case won't last long - I've not dropped mine (fingers crossed a drop now isn't on the cards!) but my wife has one for her Moto G and it broke a piece off the corner when dropped on the corner - the phone was fine, but the case was junk, but at £2 for another it's not the end of the world and certainly stopped the phone getting damaged.

That probably won't work with the Verizon VS980 because our device is a little thicker then the other models due to Qi Charging. It is also basically the same thing as the Incipio Feather I posted, except the Incipio is specifically designed for the Verizon models thickness and different button size.
I've dropped my phone tons of times and the Incipio holds up nicely.

I've had 2 of these, and they are great. Very thin, and stylish... and grippy. I had to replace one because I dropped it right on the corner on concrete from about 4 feet up, and the corner of the case broke off, but the phone was only slightly damaged. Great case!

I have to agree, while no OtterBox, the Incipio feather has protected my phone well. Bought one off eBay for $10 and see the ones sold on Amazon have dropped in price as well.
Hi, i`ve been searching for a transparent case for OP3. I want to buy the soft gold version, it looks really beauty. I don`t like to buy a beautyful phone to cover with a case and looks like any other phone. But i priorize protection too. I found a transparent case by Nilkin at AliExpress, but i don`t know if it`s a good case. What do you recommend?
Orzly Flexicase
The best transparent case which is also still pretty protective is probably the ringke fusion

i agree with the orzly flex case, it does not give much bulk but can protect too

Ringke fusion is an amazing case for the money. I'm rocking it right now. I got the Pleson TPU case initially, but this Ringke just blows it out of the water. Very very well thought out. Probably the best TPU case I've ever owned for any phone. I religiously buy TPU as I have found it protects phones much better than any Otterbox, or anything with a "hard" cover. The hard covers all create a much higher impact in my personal opinion on the phone. The TPU absorbs the impact, instead of transferring it into the device. Never broke a single screen/phone wearing a TPU case, and I'm rough with my phones. I take them dirt biking on trails and on the MX course. I've crashed countless times. Never had a single issue.
The only thing a TPU case can't protect you from, is getting drunk and getting in the river and forgetting your phone was in your pocket. I'll miss you 1+1, I'll never forget you....
edit: hey, i'm in ATX too! hello 1+3 friend

hello from ATX! I had the pleson (clear) case first too, and while it's a great looking case I agree the best TPU slim case I've found is the Ringke one so far as well (and i've tried a good handful...)
I have the Orzly flexicase. It's look and feel is just great.
I've got the Pleson and the Ringke. It took some getting used to but I like my Ringke one more, harder plastic on back with tpu sides is nice
I have the Orzly Flexicase also. Love it. It isn't too thin or thick. I dropped my phone numerous times already. Haven't damaged it yet. (knock on wood)
I have a nillkin nature case since november, it's still great, not any scratch and protects my phone well, but it is becoming "yellowish", it's not as transparent as on the beginning.
Nillkins transparent tpu case is great. I"ve been using it since a few months. It's super slim compared to my other noname TPU case, has great grip dou to its sides. I've been using a case like this on my last 2 phones, will get one for the next one for sure.
I'm using stock just fine.
I am using Ringke fusion, it's nice but the rear is a fingerprint magnet.. It is getting dirty very fast.
I've bought orzly flexicase, will compare it with the Ringke one when I receive it.
Also for me the best is the Nillkin tpu case, very slim and transparent that show the device without cover it.
That cover have also a protection for the hole of type c cable.
For me official curved tempered glass with poetic affinity case is perfect
I have the spigen ultra hybrid and it's great. Also fits snugly with the orzly tgsp, no issues.

I've been using the official transparent case from OnePLus and it's good. No yellowish tint so far in 5 months.
I'm using spigen hybrid ultra clear case and it's incredible, fits really well and dust doesn't get under the case. Really good.
Greetings, mates.
I was a big fan of Speck products with all my phones since iPhone 3GS.
Week ago, bought Z2 Force and was glad to discover that Speck is producing the case for it. It is some kind of a "line refresh" and now called "Presidio Grip". The main difference over well-known CandyShell, i thought, was matte finish and rubber pattern.
But i was wrong. The main difference is awful quality of these new cases. I've read dozens of feedbacks at Amazon on this "Presidio" lineup and all of them showing extreme low quality and materials used in them.
Typical use time now is 2-3 weeks, after that rubber begins to peel off, hard outer shell begins to crack above the volume buttons etc.
I'm attaching only some of feedback photos here, all made not later than a month after the purchase. I was shocked a little, realising that in 2018 Speck is trying to sell case for $40+ with such a low quality... I can buy same "quality" garbage for less than a 2$ at Ali, really. That's definitely not what i'm expecting to obtain for such amount.
Now you really need a case to protect a $40 case, lol.
So, my question is are there any other hybrid cases for our Z2 that is not so bulky as Otterbox and is a good compromise between thickness and protection, like old Speck?
I use Spigen on my Moto Z2 Force , Google Pixel XL, iPhone 7 plus and love the fit and finish...
I actually bought the presidio grip for the Moto z2 force. It's junk and nothing like the previous ones I've had.
Have you looked at the under armour case? It has the grip like the speck. The Incipio octane does too on the sides.

Spigen rugged? It is not dual-layer design, so not a variant for me. Besides, it is typical cheapest possible $1 one layer TPU case with the only difference - quality of molding.
Spigen tough is like Otterbox, too bulky and outer shell scratches very easily, showing the white plastic beneath thin paint layer.

Incipio octane is a killer for our soft aluminium back. I had same type case on my old 1st gen Atrix. When dust and sand particles goes through camera hole, whole case begin to act like a sandpaper - soft TPU sides will move just a little every time you take a phone or move it to a pocket while hard polycarbonate back will scratch the surface with that dust particles.

This is a 100% hit the bull's-eye, thank's mate, exactly what i've searched for. Dunno why i never heard such brand before. :good:
The Under Armour cases are actually made by Incipio. My biggest issue with them is the thickness. Since the Z2F is already so rugged, I'm pretty comfortable with just a slim tpu case and tempered glass. The Tech21 Evo Check can be found online for under $10 now., so I'll probably pick one of those up.
I have this case.
Moto Z2 PLAY / Z2 FORCE Case, COVRWARE [IRON TANK] Built-in [Screen Protector] Heavy Duty Full-Body Holster Armor [Brushed Metal Texture] Case [Belt Clip][Kickstand], Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077RMCWT5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_OTlTAb424WGZ8
It is nice if you are looking for a thin case and a holster. Slightly harder to take off for using mods. (I always pop out the plastic screen protector)
I also have this case
Spigen Rugged Armor Moto Z2 Force Case with Resilient Shock Absorption and Carbon Fiber Design for Moto Z2 Force (2017) - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074BCC6K7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_hVlTAb0RY15T8
It is a simple slide in the pocket case that is easy to remove to use the mods.
Both are great cases and have held up without any problems.
Is anyone able to determine the model/manufacturer of the case on photo? Found it on glass feedback thread at amazon. Looks interesting.
