[Q] Bricked after flashing recovery - Sony Xperia ZR

I've been probably very stupid, that's why I've to post something here.
I had flashed CM12 from here http://fxpblog.co/cyanogenmod/cyanogenmod-12/. I wasn't too happy, so I wanted to recover from my NANDROID backup. But I noticed my recovery was overwritten and it only had the basic functions of a stock recovery. So I tried to flash TWRP.
So I downloaded it from this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59333250&postcount=9
Unzipped it and did the following command in fastboot:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
But that didn't work and I read Xperia devices don't have a recovery partition and someone said you've to use the same command as booting a kernel, so I did:
fastboot flash boot recovery.img
But then my device broke, it still vibrates to show it reacted on the power button, but no SONY logo and so no LED to get into recovery and not booting at all. Any idea if I'm able to fix this? Flashtool doesn't recognize the device obviously, as I can't get to flashboot.
EDIT: Oh god, it got into flash mode and I'm now flashing the stock firmware. YES. This thread can be deleted. Sorry for the spam.

Please Help "Brick" with Cyanogen's newest upate

My first post but I've been lurking for years. Pretty good with search, etc.
If anyone could help I would really appreciate it. I've been working on this for 12 hours!
I updated to Cyanogen 4.1.999
I successfully installed the new radio and fastboot confirms 2.22.19.261
Here's where I made the mistake in the following directions:
I have CMRecovery Image 1.4
-Go to http://developer.htc.com/adp.html
-DL the 1.6 "recovery image" the file name is - signed-dream_devphone_userdebug-ota-14721.zip
-Then DL CyanogenMod-4.1.99
http://n0rp.chemlab.org/android/expe....99-signed.zip
-put them both on your SD card
-Boot up into CM recovery image 1.4 by rebooting and holding the home button, do a wipe.
-update using any zip to that "recovery image" (signed-dream_devphone_userdebug-ota-14721.zip)
(it should auto reboot install radio then reboot again and load back up to the CMrecovery img screen)
I mistakenly rebooted normally instead of applying the update in the next step. This is when the black screen began.
-Then update any zip usig CyanogenMod-4.1.99 (update-cm-4.1.99-signed.zip)
-Then power on the phone
I am stuck at the black screen of death.
I can fastboot and I've fastbooted the pimp recovery and still can't access recovery. Just get the triangle.
So, during update after new radio I rebooted normally instead of updating with the final build update got a black screen and have no recovery.
I've tried fastboot flash recovery and fastboot update.
fastboot flash recovery is succesful
fastboot update or fastboot flashall give me the "archive does not contain android-info.text and android-product.text" errors.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
this should be posted in Q/A not development.

Sorry!
Mod please move. Thanks!
if you have access to fastboot, do a fastboot flash everything... from radio, system, and what not (forgetting something)
if that doesn't work... do a fastboot of the radio and boot and system, do everything.
basically do a fastboot of the normal dev 1.6 system....
its on htc's website.... gl dude

any ideas on the commands to flash them as flashall? HTC's site has them as separate files so I can only flash the "recovery" file.
I'm sorry to be somewhat of a noob with the actual codes. Could you be more specifc with which files to flash with which commands?
TIA!
Using the HTC website 1.6 "recovery" with fastboot update I get the following:
Error: update package has no android-info.txt or android-product.txt
I can't figure out how to flash the radio or system files in any other way than update in fastboot.
Did you erase the recovery? When this happened to me, just installing CM 1.4 from fastboot did not work, I had to erase the recovery then install. Hope this helps.
Also remove your SD card while booting, as prior stuff in your ext3 partition can cause black screens during boot. If that fixes it, you need to reformat your ext3.
The triangle you see is the standard recovery, to access it you need to do alt-L?or alt-x cant remember. To fix you need to flash cm-recovery to do this reboot into the boot loader (power + camera) plug in usb and hit the back button you should see "fastboot" then run
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery cm-recovery-1.4.img
seehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=523558
then install rom as normal
okay this happened to me as well. I just made sure that I wiped, then started allover again. i had to do it a couple of times but it worked. just make sure that you still have the files on your SD card.
Good Luck!!!!

Hi mghtyred (of tmobile forums) welcome to XDA

[Q] Bootloop...Help?

So I rooted and unlocked yesterday, flashed cwm, and then flashed cm10 posted in the dev forum.
After having wifi issues, I decided to go to the Goldenrom.
Now I'm stuck in a boot loop. I can get back to recovery (and no, I forgot to make a backup), and tried wiping and flashing again. no luck.
I thought about trying to RSD but I can't. I can get to fastboot but RSD doesn't recognize it as being anything.
Please help.
Did you try holding the vol down and power until it shuts off. Then hold both vol down and up with power at the same time. It will give you options to choose. Then vol down to fastboot and press up to select it.

Yeah I've tried all that.
It can be mounted in fastboot, and RSD sees a device, but it doesn't have any information. Doesn't see it as an atrix, a razr, anything.
I also can't mount the sd card in cwm for file transfer. I was gonna try and flash one of the stock rooted roms I saw around here, but can't get the zip on storage.
Any thoughts?

Don't worry
If you can get to fastboot don't worry your fine. Follow the steps below. You can just flash the stock files via fastboot tools. You can thank skeevy420 also. Got this from his post here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2226527
These are the steps:
Install Stock Fastboots JB
Download the respective fastboot zip you want to use
Extract the zip
Open a terminal to the extracted zips directory
Reboot into fastboot
Type the following commands in this order
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash devtree device_tree.bin
fastboot erase system -w !
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot -w
fastboot erase cache !
fastboot reboot
thanks

that did the trick. well done. im still curious as to what the problem was, but at least now i know it can be fixed.
So I did this and it worked, decided to re-root and reflash CM10.
I'm selling my Atrix now, so I've decided to reflash the stock rom. This time, though, the above steps didn't work. I'm stuck at the motorola logo. I can still get to fastboot. I've tried reflashing stock, but it hasn't worked, as I'm still stuck at the M logo.
I'd try the RSD Lite method, but even after reinstalling drivers, RSD doesn't recognize the device.
Any NEW thoughts?
I feel like a noob...
EDIT:
Nvm, figured it out. I forgot about the snapdragon fastboots...

[Q] Root through stock recovery?

I'm pretty sure it's not possible with stock recovery.
I also think your command might be what's messing you up...
To boot recovery wouldn't be
Code:
fastboot boot recovery recovery.img
I've never tried this so not 100% sure.
To install recovery the command would be...
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
I dont think so, because its able to boot it just doesnt get into the recovery, its the same problem when i flash it, it boots but it doesnt load recovery. Damn it, all this bloatware here hunting my privacy and i can't remove it and one of the apps is auto turning wifi on... HTC never more.

Bricked. Red "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly"
Following this guide I ended up bricking my Nexus 6. Please ask questions as this is my first time rooting a device.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56938530&postcount=1
After typing "fastboot reboot" my phone begun rebooting, stopped and went to the red "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly". Now I am able to get to the fastboot menu. I am also able to get to the android recovery menu. Can anyone point me in the direction to get my phone working again?
Thank you in advance
You can get into fastboot. So restore to stock image. Or since you have custom recovery restore your working backup.
Then read the thread on root. Not just the first post. Read the most recent ones... They are the ones with the most up to date info. Never flash stuff or follow guides with out reading like the last 3-4 pages of the thread as well as the full OP AT A MINIMUM.
1)download google factory image
2)Extract everything in one folder.
3)Delete userdata.img from folder(because once i left it in folder and started flashing images one by one and ended up with empty internal storage.lost everything)
4)use these commands to flash
fastboot flash bootloader C:/image-shamu-XXXXXX/bootloader.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio C:/image-shamu-XXXXXX/radio.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash system C:/image-shamu-XXXXXX/system.img
fastboot flash boot C:/image-shamu-XXXXXX/boot.img
fastboot flash recovery C:/image-shamu-XXXXXX/recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
5)reboot
You don't have to delete userdata.img... Just dont flash it, and don't use flashall
Your manually typing these commands. Just don't type it. Understand what the partitions are and don't flash the ones you don't want.
And on that point, rather then flash the stock recovery, flash something like TWRP since your trying to root.
Wow. Thank you guys. I really appreciate it. Great group here.
Got it back up and running with 6.0.1 with your help. Since I have gotten this far I think I'll try out some ROM's.
Thanks again.

While upgrading from 6.01-7.0 crashed at 83% Now Stuck at Google logo image w/Unlock

Any help appreciated here, I have been searching the forums all morning, but haven't found the same issue as mine (lots of stuck at google ?'s but none from failed upgrade) last night I decided to take the plunge and update my N6 from build 6.0.1 (MOB31H, Oct 2016) to 7.0.0 (NBD90Z, Oct 2016)
I typically use the WugFresh NRT to upgrade via factory image. Last night I decided to give the OTA images a try.
Everything was going smoothly until I bumped my keyboard tray and my phone became disconnected while still flashing. It was almost done too.....it was at the point of flashing the system image and was interrupted at 83% and it failed install.
I then attempted to recover from this by flashing entire factory image for 7.0 but it doesn't seem to want to mount my device. I then tried to go back and flash 6.01 to device using the softbrick/bootloop function from the NRT toolkit. It seemed to partially work as the size of the word google on the screen changed during boot went smaller (so I assume the boot.img was able to flash?) but I am still stuck at the google logo with the unlock at the bottom. Bright side is device is bootloader unlocked.
If I try the recover from bootloop function on the NRT it seems to have trouble sending files to phone (goes through all the process just doesn't take it looks like it sending files but before each at beginning it doesn't seem to connect to device.
I can access bootloader, and recovery. In recovery I tried to wipe/cache (wipes but doesn't help), tried factory reset (wipes but still stuck at Google), tried to mount system through selecting via recovery and it fails.
Not sure which image I should try to flash now to recover 6.01 or 7.0 or if I can even recover from this? Any suggestions are appreciated.
When I first got my phone I did create a backup using the NRT but that was on I think 5.0 or 5.01 and I no longer have twrp installed, should I try putting twrp on it and restoring that back up? It was a long time ago and I am not sure if it will cause radio or boot img issues...since I have upgraded so far past without making another backup with a newer version.
I have read that some others with similar issues that were told to use the N beta to get a clean flash.....only issue is there is no longer a N beta for Nexus 6......it now only shows 7.01 for 6p, 5x, and pixel.
Should I try flashing twrp and a ROM? And after see if I can get to load that way then go back and flash stock image?
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

This requires you unlock your bootloader. You will be installing a custom recovery. Root is not needed though.
