When will the new forum for moto x pro(xt1115) - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

At last day of March, moto started to sell the nexus 6's bro, moto x pro in China. But its spec is different. So when will the new forum come?

I don't think any of us would know. Maybe there is a link to request new forums for new devices on the main page of the forums.

Moto Nexus might be sooner than later

I didn't get the feeling that would be a true Nexus. You know how Motorola is with their bootloaders.

Only an idiot would doubt that google will make their own phones through Motorola. Its more a matter of when then if.
Its not going to be a nexus I believe it will be branded as the droid RAZR X and will be realesed with 4.2.2 in q1.Google should have 4.2.2 by then.
I'm just skeptical about it being a real 'nexus' device because hasn't every Motorola phone been only sold by Verizon? Idk if moto and Verizon have a contract but since Google owns Motorola anyone would assume they would make their devices but idk

No, Motorola has sold phones on other carriers. For example, I owned a Motorola Photon on Sprint myself.
However, I think this whole rumor is around some "X" phone by Google and Motorola that _won't_ be a Nexus and _will_ be carried exclusively by Verizon. I'll see if I can find a link...
This has nothing to do with the Nexus 4 and since a lot of users still haven't even received theirs yet, we are long way from discussing this phone's successor in here.
I've already moved one of these to Android General if you would like to continue the discussion there.

No More Updates for the Moto X

I was doing some research on the processors of the Moto X and discovered that it is using two of Texas Instruments' processors. As we all found out when 4.4 was released, the Galaxy Nexus ceased to receive support as it as well used a TI processor. And now that TI is quickly leaving the mobile business, are we to expect the Moto X to lose update support as well?
TI left the SoC industry, they didn't leave chip making entirely. Qualcomm makes the SoC, TI makes co-processors that help the SoC. There shouldn't be any issues getting further updates, provided VZW/Moto/Google approve them.
Exactly, this is too far of a reach. My guess is that the the moto x gets updates for 18 months like the galaxy nexus.
Personally I think Google should extend there updates to 18 months after the phone is sold not from when it came out, but that is there policy.

As "imnuts" indicated, the TI chips in the Moto X are still in active production. Regardless, the Galaxy Nexus was retired for Google's reasons, not TI's.

imnuts, I remember you from another XDA board, I don't remember which phone it was for though lol.
Anyhow, do you have the Moto X? If so, what do you think of it? I have the Note 3 right now and I'm considering the Moto X with the $150 promo code I got on Wednesday.

I just got the moto x and love it so far, but as far as the update thing goes I think since most carriers only let you upgrade every 24 months that Google should continue update until 24 months after the phone stops being sold through retail or upgrade options! My opinion of course but if I bought a phone 18 months after it came out hum mm you know Verizon then they should support that device longer! My phone may be 18 months on shelf but I only just got it! Again my opinion!

I'll never reveal my sources.
Since when we have two Tuesdays in one week?

There is already a topic regarding this, why create another?
I just am not getting the excitement here, what will 4.4.4 do seriously?
I think Motorola just tried to be smart by announcing it ages before actual release. So that people will bless their p***y for being 'so fast' on updates. I am greatly annoyed by this.
Update takes time to rollout they update according to serial numbers in batches.

Looks like your sources were wrong. 3 Tuesdays have come & gone since the announcement on 7th July.
Also "second Tuesday of next week"?? [emoji57]
The 4.4.4 update is available in Mexico and there is a firmware available to flash, take a look: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/development/update-moto-x-mexico-to-4-4-4-vzn-firm-t2828190

a few weeks after the Nexus. I read somewhere that the Moto software team wants to get the update out before the Nexus 5, so maybe we'll see it a week or two after L is released (in the Fall)
When's the exact release date for L

Latest rumors are early November for the first phones getting the update: Nexus 5, etc.
My guess is the pure edition will be fast - a few weeks at most.
Verizon/AT&T will probably be 3-4 months. I think that's what they averaged for the big updates on the 2013 X.

I agree. That coincides with my experience.
yep, rumor has it L will be on the 25th of October, which means pure will have it the first week of Nevember, ATT/VZW will finally approve it and release it the following June lol

I wouldn't count out Verizon on updates for the X. Yes on most phones they suck but last year on the X they were pretty fast.
The Verizon x was the first out of the gate for kk..before the actual release of kk on the n5
Moto has been very quick with updates for the X line. Hopefully they will continue.

Motorola update service not compatible

Hi,
My friend has the bew moto g. When he checked his my apps on the play store it says that the moto update service is incompatible with his device. So as a result he is not receiving and software update. Would like to know if there is a fix for this. Thanks.

Which model he owns exactly?
The update service is for Moto g 1st generation, Moto g 2014 (XT 1068/69/64/63) should have this service installed by stock as far as I know.
