I've been trying to get Android Market app installed on my CM7 card - with no success. Everything works fine - Amazon installs apps fine - CM7 boots and works fine.
When I boot to load Android market
it detects Google Market Installer file
and shows an error - that I have
" Invalid Zip Magic 4f4421C3" and unloads Google Market Installer
* I followed the instructions in CM7 size agnostic card file
* Not logged into any Google account - or WIFI - if that makes a difference prior to install
I'd really like to have access to G-market so I can get a few readers besides Kindle to choose from. If anybody has some suggestiosn as to how I get past this road block - I would really appreciate some help.
Thanks in advance
I was running Android 4.4.4 w CM 10.x (.4) great on my Nook HD until it suddenly began booting into recovery mode in a loop. Thought of re-rooting and starting over BT I did not have the original SD card with the ROM on it anymore.
Instead, I installed Android 7.1.1 and CM 14.1, dynamic GApps full and a twrp recovery system. Nook works great (if a bit slowly) now but only w its generic apps (browser, file mgr, gallery etc).
When I access Google Play through the browser and try to install any of my apps, they show "installed," "this is compatible with your device," when I click installed it shows my device, tells me "no eligible devices for install" and the drop down menu reads "app already installed on this device."
I called Google Play support and despite me telling them I'd rooted the Nook to Android and CM several years ago, they referred me to Barnes and Noble.
The Nook HD is now running:
Android 7.1.1
CM 14.1 hummingbird 20161223 unofficial by Dma***@xeni**.com
API level 7 (guava)
Dynamic GApps full
Android security patch 12/5
Kernel 3.0.101
cm-hummingbird-userdebug7.1.1hunofficial-NMF26Q
Any help or guidance is appreciated!
I'd suggest that you try to wipe /data and re-flash ROM and GApps using zip files from https://notredame.app.box.com/s/26a4bygh9vbaw7jjq08xr5evomvaw5ww/1/3332708110 and http://opengapps.org/.
Android "Find My Device" Feature Cannot Contact my Phone - Running LineageOS 14.1
I recently ran in to some self-inflicted problems with the old LOS 14.1 installation on my Nexus 6, so I decided to wipe my phone and use Titanium Backup to restore my apps. Now, on my previous LOS installation, the Find my Device feature had been broken for a while, and the same was true about trying to install apps from the Play Store via my computer. After a fresh LOS installation, these two features were working again, but they have stopped working again. Trying to use "Find My Device" to locate my Nexus 6 just results in a "Can't reach device" error, and trying to install an app from the Play Store via my computer does not work, and shows the "last used" date for my phone to be December 8 even though today is December 12 and I have used my phone a lot since then. Why has this happened again, and what can I do to fix it?
I fixed it! I am not entirely sure what happened, but somewhere along the way, my phone got re-registered as a new device that was not showing up on my device list. Going to the Google Play device list and enabling the new entry and removing the old entry solved the problem.
Pulling my hair on this one; I have rooted the tab successfully, flashed cAndroid 5.01 and it runs great, but won't accept any of the dozen version of Gapps (GPS stop, AOSP keyboard fail, Play Store Hangs, etc.) I have tried, so I thought, let's just try AOSP or cAndroid Nougat, which I have successfully flashed to my Nexus 7 2012 (note re-purpose addiction). Various sideloaded apks work with no issue on the 5.0 ROM, no google apps or services.
I am running CW Mod for flashing and SR5-SuperSU 2.8 for root and the AOSP Rom exits with Status 0, and the cAndroid exits with Status 7, and I am hesitant to edit the install script. Rootcheck show device rooted successfully.
Any help with either would be appreciated, ultimate goal is getting Onenote to run, again, which I have done for both 5.x and 7.x on nexus, using old APKs
Upate your Recovery to the TWRP Version >= 2.8.7.0..
Do you have a link for the twrp build for the gt-p7310, can't find it listed under twrp supported devices
thanks
Searched with every criteria I can come up with, can't find a .zip for GT-P7310 or p5wifi for >2.7
SOLVED
Found right copy of TWRP, installed and now running Nougat on the tab, thanks for the assist
Spoke to soon , update to 7.1.2 goes fine, but no keyboard works none of them will activate when a text field is tapped
You can actives the keyboard under setting, language and inputs , vituelle keyboards
Thanks for the update ; I have the device working properly now with 7.1.2 AOSP thanks to updating my TWRM ; everything works but anything Google or Microsoft - I have tried every version of GApps Zips, APKs GPS back to 10.0.8, Gmail, Play, Gboard, etc. and everytime I introduce anything Google , it flakes out, get service stopped messages from Play Services, Gboard stops, etc. Oddly enough GHandwriting works which i use alot on m other tabs with Onenote, which also won't run, I am assuming b c of GPS; Onenote installs passively, but errors out 8000400 evertime, which seems to be some kind of sign in error, but TS steps I have found have not worked. OTher than the Google and MS snafus, device runs better than ever and i am resolved to using Evernote and exporting over to one note when i need to, any ideas would be appreciated , I like the size of this device and hate to trash anything useful - Thanks for the reply
Finally unlocked bootloader and installed HavocOS to my Xiaomi with all needed wipes: data, system, cache. However, I've faced an issue with Play Market downloads. When I try to download a large app it goes up to 100% and then starts over, stops at 2% and awaits for wi-fi connection ( though I am connected over Wi-Fi). It is the same for all apps over 1Gb in size (e.g. PUBG, Asphalt 9 and so on). Also tried to clear cache and data for Play Market, Google Play Services and no good too.
I've tried to reinstall ROM, gapps, tried Xiaomi EU Rom (stable) and got the same error there. I guess it has something to do with security, so I've tried different google account - but result was the same.
Please suggest any resolution
Just bought this phone myself. But this my guess based on my experience with other devices.
I suspect that your play store status is uncertified?
I am sure it is!
You need to fix that first, then play store function should return to normal.
The easiest way to resolve this issue without reinstallation to use the Magisk Module : Magiskhide Props Config
Next go to the main page for that module and read the instructions ( Google it)
Note, you must also install Termus and enter commands per instructions on Op page for the module. Trust me it's easy.
Essentially you are changing the fingerprints to a Play Store certified device (It only works as long as the module and Magisk stays installed)
I have attached screenshots from my other phone, where I had the same issue and resolved it.
