Stop trolling. There is no Lollipop for the Note 4 yet. Samsung's been hinting at mid-December at the earliest.
I come back to this thread once a day for a good laugh
A cold beer slipped outta my hand in excitement because of you.

Just received my free white S5 G900A from Samsung Insights. Getting used to it coming from Note 3. I was wondering if there are any fellow S5 owners that got their phone thru this program? If so, have you completed your 6 months? Did you root and have no problems with the app or Sammy telling you to unroot? I had asked if I could root and was told it's prohibited, so wanted to hear from any others who rooted and completed their time. Tia and looking forward to being part of the crowd.
i got my s5 ( t-mobile gs5 ) in august through the insight program
even before installing the app i rooted and flashed a stable rom and then installed the insights application
no issues here till now
i am close to my 6 months and then i will ask them if i can remove the app ( which i can according to the contract )

Seems from feedback I've gotten, I messed up and immediately installed the app and then sent an email asking if I could root. I should have rooted and ROMd before I installed the app and not bothered to ask. My bad.

yes you shouldn't have asked them
has anyone here with t-mobile got the survey recently and got a phone? Thanks
Just a note for anyone past or nearing the end of their 6 month commitment. Mine was up in December and I expected to hear something from them about being done, but didn't. So today I inquired.
Basically the deal is this: when your 6 months is up I'm sure they'd love you to keep providing data. If you want to uninstall the app after your 6 months, email them and they will give you an exit survey and the code you need to uninstall it, but as long as you stay active (keep the app running) you will remain eligible for any surveys and associated giveaways they send out, so there is a little incentive to keep it.

exactly
this is what i got today
" If you prefer to have the application removed, we can send you an exit survey which will have the application removal instructions and the passcode. Please note, only those who remain active in the program will continue to receive surveys throughout the year for upgrades or accessory offers. "
i think ill stay by keeping the app ..though i keep changing the ROMS
the problem is when i tried a cm12 rom with android 5.0 - flashed the insights app and restored through titanium - the insight freezes when i try to open
i guess its not yet compatible with lollipop
so i had to revert it back to the 4.4 rom

I received a white S5 as well 2 weeks ago. I rooted the phone via towelroot immediately then I installed safestrap then backed the phone up. I installed the Insights app the next day and it's been running flawlessly ever since. I haven't flashed any rims yet so I'm stock odexed but I did add xposed with a couple mods. So far so good and not a peep from Sammy.

Email [email protected] and tell them you're interested in the program. They'll email back for a referral. That's where it gets tricky. More requests for referrals than there are available. I gave out 18 before Samsung told me to stop.
Does anyone have a referral? I finally got my email asking for one to be accepted but I need a referral. Thanks!

How I got mine was looking thru the thread that is in Note 3 general and pmd a couple fellas til one gave me his info. I got lucky I believe. I know there are more people in this program, just finding the one to give the info is hard. Wish I could help. ?
I got a Galaxy S5 from them back in December and I just got a Galaxy Tab S 8.4 i from them this month to use with my smart TV.

DO NOT INSTALL THE APP until you've made the choice to root and rom or not. Battery life on stock was s#*t for me before changing roms. 5 hours 100% to 30% with 2 hours sot. Now, most days it's lasting all day. I still miss my Note 3 and will be going back as soon as contact here is up. If it's branded AT&T, it's bootloader locked.
Hello folks,
Good news! I have come across a user manual in Hebrew of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 which was updated on 11th of March 2016 which confirms couple of new features of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has been added for instance S-Pen menu of Note 5.
Take a look for yourself, as I'm unable to upload .pdf file which is 10MB.

Yes indeed, I'm sure Marshmallow will be the last update for Note 4. Our Beloved Note 4 won't be able to see Android N.

I hate Samsung's update policy. Note 4 is very powerful device and ı think note 4 will be able to work with Android N. Other side, Xperia z2 got marshmallow beta. We're still waiting for this s***. I got angry again.

In before mods, you should probably ask this question in the thread that already exists for it.

I too was heartbroken with the thought of having to return my Note 7. Actually hugged old boy when I left him at the T-Mobile store....
Alas the S7 Edge has given me some solace until the Note 8 is release... It's a nice phone but I keep getting the feeling that something is missing...
Still my VR works with it so there's that.

finally, I thought it very well, and I are extremely difficult to return the best devices ever caught in my hands! I was the owner of all the series of note 1.2.3.4.5 (simple and dual), and now to 7. I keep it then, and simply will pray every day, to find someone to analysis with gear vr oculus, and of course not started by samy lockable and other applications and imei, to cause us to turn back our devices! I believe that the samsung has regretted that he did definitively withdrawing the note 7. will see how the devices not gysrisan back, 99% will have no problem.!
I do not understand the stupidity of samsung, block the app of gear vr, for not to burn our face the device! This can happen when simply talking on phone. and this would be more serious.
I will not go back to the device, and will not succumb to blackmail. I have the device a month and works perfectly.
All this was a finger from its rivals, and I think we will learn perhaps after many years!

Mod Edit
Sorry if this is covered somewhere in the forums, I tried searching for terms that I thought to be relevant with no success.
On my Note 4, and on my S4 before it, after tapping the Recent key I can tap on the screen around the apps (desktop maybe?) and it switches to Home, just like hitting the Home button. Once I bought my Tab S2 9.7 I expected this same functionality but tapping the same area (again, desktop?) results in no action.
If anyone knows of a setting that gives this functionality I'd really appreciate knowing it.
In case it matters,
The S4 ran Lollipop then Marshmallow.
The Note 4 also ran Lollipop then Marshmallow.
The Tab S2 ran Marshmallow and now Nougat.
All have run Nova Launcher Pro.
Thank you kindly for your time.
