Hey all
Over the past three or four years I've done a wee bit of theming, starting with my iPod touch 4th Gen (I swear Apple makes it harder and harder to theme with every iOS update!) and now with Android. I've gotta say, I like Android much better in terms of theming things. I've used Zooper Widget and Kustom Live Wallpaper, and this is just a spot to share the stuff I've made as I go and as I learn. Anything new I create will be uploaded to Box.
Some notes:
I use Nova Launcher Beta as my launcher
Please don't download something of mine and republish it as your own. I'm just like everyone else here and I like to be credited for my work and if you inspire me to create something, I too will give you credit
Constructive criticism of my stuff is welcome, but please don't be rude.
If a link isn't working and you want to download something, shoot me a PM. I can't promise that I'll get back to you right away (I work 35-50 hours a week at a Wendy's in my home town and I also have classes at a nearby community college), but I will do my best

Dock Battery Meter for App Drawer
Something I've had for Zooper for a while now. A 3x1 widget that sets centered in the dock, with the app drawer icon resting between the circle that displays the battery level (I don't really use it now because I have an Xposed mod that changes the home icon on my navigation bar to a battery meter).

Circle Clock
Okay, I think this setup will work for today at least A KLWP with a pie that fills in the circle with every second that goes by

A boot animation.
It's pretty basic, as it just has the Skillet logo and then adds a loading bar at the bottom (I'm a Panhead by the way)

...after looking around in this thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=761517
I especially liked the cleaner looking themes, but wanted something even more streamlined. So I started by doing the following:
I thought that the samurai wallpaper was awesome, so I found it via Google here:
http://www.outlawdesignblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/samurai_me_by_patleeart.jpg
..and hit it with the sepia filter in Photoid. That darkened it up enough for me.
The dock I found on Deviant Art here:
http://kimboprice.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2ydmvn
...and ran it through GIMP. The only part that remained was the app drawer icon. I made the borders on the app drawer icon bolder, erased the rest and made new text icons and the simple white upper border.
For clock I used the DigiTrans clock skin for Weather & Toggle Widget that is available for free on the Market, and modified the widget background (simple white border and clock underline with a 25% transparency), AM icon and PM icon in GIMP.
To use any of it, just put the clock skin ZIP on your SD card in the appropriate folder and select it through the widget skin wizard in your Weather & Toggle Widget settings menu; the wallpaper is a no brainer; for the dock, using LauncherPro select preferences>appearance>dock background>custom image and choose it from the gallery, then use the included blank icon for the app drawer, phone and task manager apps.
There are two docks in the ZIP, a black one for lighter wallpapers and a white one for darker wallpapers.
Mods, please feel free to close this thread or remove any of my attachments if anything is not in line or if I've left out any credits. Everything I used was found on the web or in the market for free, except Weather & Toggle Widget which folks will have to download from the market on their own.
Hope some of your guys will like this theme.
Ok, so few people asked me how I placed a Banner like Icon in-place of my dock. I wanted to answer directly but thought why not share it with everyone else. So here a tutorial on how to do it.
First, this is how it looks like

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And a demo Vid
If you think its cool, then read on.
It's fairly easy, but quite tricky. Here we go.
What you need:
Launcher Pro
Banner/Icon (Template links later)
Desktop Visualizer
1. Set your home-screen row to 7 (for a 6 row home-screen setup). (This seems to be the most efficient value for me)
2. Now add a desktop visualizer 4x1 widget
3. With desktop visualizer, select your desired banner/template as your image and set the action as none (as seen on the video below)
4. Place the new widget on the bottom most part of your home-screen.
5. Now back to LPP preferences, set your home-screen row back to 6.
6. Might take long to load but there you have it, a scrolling banner on your dock.
Notes:
I believe you can use any number of homescreen rows from 4 up to 9 but I havent tested it yet and I only have a template for a 6 row homescreen.
In the video, I used a 5 column x 6 row setup opposed to the 4 x 6 setup on the tutorial to lessen the changes from stock layout.
forgot to mention, for best results, use transparent dock ang dock-shortcut icons.
Banner templates:
4x1 (right click and "save as")
5x1 (right click and "save as")
The Grey part is what the dock covers, blank part should always stay transparent. Just paste your banner over the gray part and make sure that nothing overlaps then delete the grey part entirely.
Cant seem to make youtube link to work, just click here and here to watch the vids
Thanks for the tut. You gave me an Idea on a cool homescreen. Mind sharing the text icons used on the vid?
Here is your video:
I just wanted to share this three part Honeycomb style icon(s). I use it with ADW Launcher, but you may be able to use it w/ Launcher Pro (I don't know if it lets you use 3 icons all linking to the app drawer like ADW does).
this is the new look. I made an icon for the dialer; I had tried a few but a lot of them were too tall to fit well with a lot of the cool dock backgrounds that were added to the Honeycomb ADW theme (without being resized really small), so I made a dialer icon to match the height of the apps+ button.
here you go:
this is the (new) look for the dock will be achieved:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
matching dialer icon:
for the remaining icon in between, i just used a blank (completely transparent) .png file so it wouldn't have the little "+" plus sign in between
I linked this icon to the dialer as well, so if you press anywhere on the left side of the dock it goes to the dialer and anywhere on the right it goes to the app drawer. this worked out nicely. i actually like this interface better than stock and i changed it for aesthetic purposes only.
this is the old/alternate version without the dialer if you like the centered look
(they are white w/ a transparent background so they don't show up well on this page, but they are there)
Pt 1
Pt 2
Pt 3
P.S.
here are 2 other misc icons i made to go w/ the Honeycomb theme
Well done. Thank you.
Thanks mate!!!
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App
updated
added matching dialer icon + instructions
Can you also link that dock if possible? Thanks!
it is one of the included dock backgrounds in the free honeycomb adw theme in the market. i can try to post it tommorrow if you just want the image.
Thanks for the tip, I was able to extract it from the apk !
great. i didn't want to post them, since i don't want to share somebody else's property w/o permission. this is my first thread and I am kinda sketch about that kinda thing.
cheers! i was looking for a good app drawer icon..
your welcome i plan to add some more stuff when i get the time
Icon Dev

I've been very busy with my android desktop and was a big rush to get my supplies LauncherAdvanced, unique thread of my development HERE
I would like to clarify that I have compiled this launcher for a long time, then the android trendy JB was 4.2, I had to make some optimizations so that it can get better at 4.4 and 5.1 (maybe in the future 6.0).
The purpose of the launcher is the same as I always have in mind, do not like and have never liked large packages and applications do not like too much RAM consumption, thinking that I developed this launcher, it is a typical size coming from ADW sources @AnderWeb (Thanks).
Their characteristics are very clear, see below:
Desktop settings
Set icons and wallpaper
Set style dock bar
You can set colors and transparencies in the apps grid
you can create folders and name them
Speed to open the apps grid
Animations, themes etc ..
You can also back up and restore it if you want to save your settings
Known bugs:
At the moment he does not have a transparent status bar (I will fix this)
By using wallpaper is a blur in the dock bar (only the launcher wallpapers, you can use other without problems)
Some other?
It is fully in the development of state and I will appreciate if you understand java and can help me with corrections, so I'll leave my sources available on GitHub
DOWNLOAD HERE
To install:
Download the latest launcher
Pass to your SD
Install usually how to install an apk SD
enjoy
Hi dev I'm using this launcher from past 3 days, really I'm loving it.
I got every thing which I want like ,
It's light weight.
Smooth
I can set it to full screen by hiding status bar.
Specially the short cut icon sick at the bottom ( I really loved the concept).
But after using it I felt like I'm using kitkat launcher in my One plus one (5.1 lollipop).
And their is no smooth scrolling.
Their is a problem with animation.
I'm not getting the widgets properly like my cm weather widget unable to display weather only time and date .
Each icon using more space then the actual size.
I'm unable to increase the size of icons .
Old type widget and shortcut section menu etc .
But I'm still using it coz I'm loving it.
Hope you ll update it soon with latest standards.
Thank you dev
Ok, it's a little crude and you loose the labels, but it is simple and no need for any programming or special skills.
So, my Tab 2 P3100 is now running CyanogenMod 12.1 with Nova Launcher and Theme is Black Accent.
In Nova you can't rearrange the icons in the App Drawer in so many ways.
This is a way to be a liitle more creative.
You need an Icon pack that gives you the option to not have an icon at all.
In my case it's Lines.
However, I want other icons, so I also have Monoic.
You also need a number of apps that you never will use.
How it looks in my Tab:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Ordinary Lock Screen
..................................................
Left Home Screen.......Middle(default).......Right Home Screen
As you can see my Home Screens are off center to the right, but that is easy since Nova let's you place the icons how ever you want.
So I chose an app grid with 1 extra unused column. I can have labels here, but I don't want to.
....................
Drawer coming up...........Up
To get the same look and keep the icons from the red lines I need an extra column here too.
But Nova will put icons there. And in alphabetical order...
I have renamed apps that I don't use or need and with Lines Icon Pack they got an empty space instead of an image.
In the last row I made one more app "invisible" to center the icons under the others.
Later I may add 2 usable apps to get a full bottom row.
Depending on widgets and number of apps and also the background image, it takes some trial'n'error to find
what app grid you need.
You might even need to install some small garbage app just to make it invisible :laugh:
Edit:
Another way to use the drawer with hidden icons is probably covered somewhere, but if you have your ordinary drawer, apps'n'all...
You can take a screenshot and use that as background (but now your home screen is affected).
Make all icons hidden and you get a transparent "activation sheet" that needs to be pulled upp to use the apps you see in the background.
