Being the noob that i am, i recentely tried to root my razr i. I got as far as a rooted 4.1.2 but then got power hungry and tried to install CM11. I loaded the files into CWM and followed the instructions; wiped data / factory resest and tried to install it. However it gave me error code 7 and now when i trun my phone on it will only boot to CWM. I didn't make a backup of my system.. :crying:

OK a couple months ago i installed DJsteves honeystreak rom, restored back to factory using NVflash, but CWM is still there and when using CWM to restore, it restores the honeystreak rom with all of my data. I plan on giving my tablet to someone, but i cant seem to get honeystreak and CWM off, Ive tried unrooting using superoneclick, and nothing, still the same CWM and rom. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated
OK I used gingerbreak to unroot, then used multiflasher 0.1 (couldnt get the newest one to accept a command) to flash the stock recovery. I boot into recovery, select factory reset userdata/internal storage, it hangs there, after 15mins i pinhole reset, and then tried update via pkg on sd card, same thing. And my some of my data is still there, pictures, videos stuff like that, i formatted the external sdcard on the computer, so I know its on the tablet its self.
and before i even explain whats happened and how i got here
no exitrecovery.zip did not work :'(
So I had in the past had the RevoToolkit installed with clockworkmod working and I made a backup, i went to restore it today and revotoolkit was broken and would not let me have access to recovery mode through the program like normal...
I messed up and did a factory reset with the volume and power key thing after watching a youtube video saying that that was how you get into recovery... silly me :'(
it kinda reinstalled my android os but not really the lock screen and the home buttons didnt work, and after i reinstalled all my apps with titanium backup it bricked my phone
performing another factory reset kinda got it back again
but obviously i could not use my phone like that
well in that same post with a video was an installiation guide for clockwork with adb
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1121952
so being a DIYer i installed it successfully but when i restored my backup it got stuck in a bootloop that only goes to clockworkmod recovery
not even any android os so now im in serious trouble with no phone at all... and i have a feeling that you cant get verizon to replace when you obviously are the one who messed it up and voided the warranty or whatever
and again no the exitrecovery.zip did not work
so what now
Hi,
As the title of this post says, myMotorola Razr i (XT890) got stuck some days ago so I tried to do a reset with Power + Vol - as usual but when the phone booted up again it got stucked on the Motorola logo.
The phone is not rooted and runs the stock ROM which is Jelly Beans 4.1.2.
I tried to wipe the cache entering the fastboot but it didn't make it work better.
I could do a wipe data / factory reset but it happens that I have several pictures very important on the internal memory of the phone and I'm affraid that the factory reset wipe everything.
Is there a way to perfrom a back up of my files while the phone is turned off ?
Is the wipe data / factory reset wipe everything ?
I don't really care about the phone but I would like a lot to get back my files.
Do not hesitate to ask me for mmore information if you think you can help me.
Thank you for your help.
Hi
I will have your thread moved to your device section.
Good luck!
My moto g xt1063 keeps rebooting but I can't figure out why. Sometimes it goes to the home screen and works fine for a few minutes before rebooting again, most of the times it gets stuck on the bootloader warning screen and reboots. I can access recovery though.
I had planned to install cyanogenmod on it a couple of months ago but I got stuck on an "Error updater binary in zip" so I just gave up. The device is running Official Rom provided by Telcel (México) and has SuperUser on it too, I had a notification about the binary but updating didn't fixed the problem.
I have a backup on my computer (mac) but since I can't get the phone to sync by usb I was wondering how to copy it via recovery (clockworckmod v6.0.4.7) or if it's best to buy a micro sd and try to install from there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
First try a factory reset.
Use an sdcard yo retore backup
If fail return to stock rom
If you have a recovery installed try to make a backup from there and save it in some place like a sd card.
After that I suggest you install CM 12.1 21/05/2015 and look how it works.
Or if you prefer then reinstall the stock rom.
my droid turbo with unlocked bootloader was running on resurrection remix custom rom.
it was working fine then i mistakenly flash xtreme music mod two times then startup failed.
It just shows fastboot and logs show boot up failed. When i opened twrp and tried to flash a new rom i found out all internal storage was not showing and i was unable to clear data or wipe cache.it just failed.
Help please what should i do
twrp says unable to mount partitions and shows 0mb storage.any guess?
Was this audio mod for a specific device? Where did you get it? Have you asked them for help also?
What happens if you restore TWRP backup?
What happens if you reinstall TWRP?
You may have to reinstall stock ROM, with a fresh install and start over.
simular happened to me
i was playing around with my turbo and bricked it.... wiped restore, wiped o/s, wiped my a$$ with it. Major FUBAR. And all my fault.
What i did, was go back, and restart the whole process from the beginning. Fresh downloads of all the tools and everything to be put on the phone. As long as you can get into FastBoot, you can still fix it but it will take time.
This is the link to what i followed... took me about 1/2 hour to get from a paperweight to a working phone.

Good Luck.
