I am using Stock rom 5.0.2 on Moto G 2014 ROOTED with Xposed Installer.
I want to customize google now launcher. I found a solution of using an xposed moduele called Xposed GNL Settings premium, i hav tried it on my phone but it does not make any difference!
Is there anyone using this module? does it work on your moto g 2014 with LP?
Or any other effective solution? Help please (Y)
Google Now Launcher is pretty lame and customization is lacking. There are dozens of launchers out there that are much better and use less resources such as Nova Launcher.

I just got my new, customized Moto X in the mail and so far I love it with a few exceptions. Most notable of these is the fact that I appear to be stuck with the stock 5 screens. I prefer a very streamlined UI with my phone and so in my past Android phones I've only had a home screen and one extra.
Is there any possible way to change the number of screens in the stock operating system? I have flashed different roms in the past with other phones but I think I am going to avoid that with this phone at all costs because I have almost all of the features I would want in a custom ROM already.
any help would be appreciated! And yes, I have already tried searching for this issue and I can't seem to find any solutions. I feel like this is a pretty standard feature that I have seen in almost all other newer Android phones.
Do yourself a favor and use Nova launcher or Apex launcher.
Sent from my Moto X.
I use Action Launcher Pro

I guess I'll have to check one of these out. I had GOlauncher ex and then ADW launcher on my previous phone but it was android 2.Xxx (or rather, a custom ROM based on android 2.4something) so I assume there are much cleaner, more advanced launchers out by now. I just wanted to make sure the stock UI couldn't be modified in any way by a setting that was hiding from me before I ventured out into launchers and/or ROMs.
Thanks!
Simply wondering if anyone can get the Touchwiz or LG Launcher on their Nexus 6. Specifically looking for one from the Note 4 or G3, seeing that they're both 1440 launchers.
That, or a simple launcher that gives you the ability to change grids in the drawers and add folders in the drawers. Thank you! (hopefully no one has posted about this, I couldn't find anything close.)
BTW: Simply installing the TouchWiz does not work. Have not tried with the G3 launcher.

Nova launcher has all those features.
I am getting tired of annoying features of the Sony launcher, like "suggested apps" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/help/how-to-remove-search-bar-xperia-home-t3355603).
I'd love to get some opinions about alternative launchers with the following attributes:
* simple, uncluttered, minimalist appearance
* customizable, to make it even simpler
* esthetically clean and elegant (no graphic or color overload)
You get the idea!
Thanks,
JM
I have installed Nova launcher from October 1, 2014 in the Z3C.
Nova launcher. Ftw

+1 on nova launcher, been using it for years now.
Another vote for Nova.
Nova is nice, but Apex launcher has nearly identical features without requiring upgrades to the paid app. Plus, I think it's just a hair lighter on system resources.
Sent from the only flagship device that can fit in my hand... Sony Experia Z3 Compact
Thank you all for chiming in! I installed Nova, but will try Apex as well and report back.

the launcher itself is great, only a few things, which are editable ( Disappear for example ) are needed. Tried the google now launcher and apex and were disappointed so i decided to mod the stock launcher to my wish
Nova launcher :3

And how did you "mod" the stock launcher? And what feature(s) did you mod?

Actually, when you dont know how to edit apks its the easiest way to use serjars xposed module ( Dont got the link right know, have to look it up and edit it in ) Requires root and a working recovery
Makes the whole appearence editable ( Icon Numbers in the Home Dock, Grid sizes and dont know what else.
Even the app suggestions are stuck in the past.

Excellent work for porting out the moto z widgets out for 5.1 but can anyone port the Google's pixel launcher and wallpapers app for our compact ghost?
no idea if it'll work on 5.1, but it definitely works on any of the MM ROMs, you can download it straight from the store http://www.slashgear.com/google-pixel-launcher-now-works-on-these-phones-02462544/
I'm using it on RRemix, it came with the opengapps install. I like it quite a bit.
I used Nova launcher 5beta8 with my stock 5.1:
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/teslac...nova-launcher-5-0-beta8-android-apk-download/
You can configure "Pixel launcher" look and it works very fine!!
I've been unsuccessful in porting the stock launcher for custom roms since it's designed for SDK24 and keeps fc. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do so? I'd prefer not to use another launcher. I'm slowly learning Android coming from iOS.
If you haven't, give NovaLauncher a try. It's very customizable, and has a bunch of extra features!
Nah, I'm really just trying to figure out how to Port the stock launcher. I've used Nova, it's a good launcher and very customizable.

Hey, I googled Moto G5 launcher apk and it took me to tech droid. You can actually download the apk for the stock launcher and clock widget directly from the article or just search XDA threads.

It just keeps fc on anything above 7.0, I'm going to just edit pixel launcher for the look of the stock launcher. Thanks though...
Is someone successful in porting the launcher?? i really like the stock one..
I wish someone would. Above my skills. I've gotten about half way through editing Pixel Launcher too match this stock launcher.
i also liked stock launcher
Just install the Moto Z2 Play Launcher from here. It appears to be the exact same as ours.

a port from moto g5s plus will work on devices with 7.1.1
