I'm using BlissPop and have been unable to send/receive MMS using the stock Messaging app.
Google Messenger works
Sliding messaging works
Hangouts works
Not an APN issue, unless there are hidden ones somewhere.
Interestingly, in sliding messaging when I ask it to automatically insert the APN, two options come up: the right one (optus), which I have in settings, and the wrong one(virgin), not listed anywhere else.
Could be possible that the virgin APN is hidden somewhere and being defaulted too in Messaging? I am actually on Virgin (Australia), but they use the optus network so the optus APN is the correct one.
Any thoughts on this, besides telling me to just use one of the other apps?
You or your ROM running an ad blocker? On Verizon I have to whitelist the MMS server
Sent from my Benzo'd Google N6 on VZ
Interesting thought, but I imagine that no MMS would come through if it was blocking the server. My issue seems to be isolated specifically to MMS.apk

I'm using Eugene's Franken-twiz Update 3 and cannot send nor receive MMS messages.
I can receive standard texts just fine. I've tried using the stock MMS app and the MMS app that came in twiz and neither function for me. I googled the APN settings to make sure they are correct and they are so I'm at a loss now.
I am correct in that if the APN settings were wrong, I'd have no web access, correct?
your internet can be working even if your mms settings are incorrect. Some providers require separate MMS and web settings in a separate entry each. Others just have one set of settings that include both. Vodafone NZ uses 2 sets, Telecom NZ uses one combined.
Having said that, I can send a MMS, but cant seem to download or receive them, so Im in the same boat!
My APN settings are identical to a friend with a Galaxy S. I have a Captivate.
I've been on Arhd 62 with Sense 6.0 on my M7 AT&T for a month now. Everything is great except Blinkfeed stopped refreshing this week and won't show any content. I tried everything with auto sync, rebooting, etc. Also I will not get any MMS, pics or group. They show up in preview notifications bar but when I go to messages they're not there, like they don't exist. I tried different APN settings and this forum isn't easy to navigate. I found numerous APN settings that vary. Can someone point me to the right ones for AT&T with LTE and MMS? Or how else to solve these issues? Thank you.

you can found the correct apn setting for at&t on their website or google it: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=at&t+lte+apn
Note that using app like AdBlockPlus also cause issue sending/receiving mms

I Googled it and got varying results and contradicting APN settings that weren't current. Some Cingular, some AT&T. Some say to leave some stuff unspecified, some not... I did have AdBlockPlus but uninstalled it and that didn't fix it. Can you help me find the most current settings?
I'm using the Turbo with Verizon but I want to change the APN so I can add the AdBlockPlus settings. However, the (+) button to add a new APN isn't there for me. Looks like I need to be using a different network to be able to edit the APB but I was wondering if there's any way to force the phone to use a custom APN (or to change the one that's tied to the SIM)
Thanks in advance.
I've been down the same road and I could not find a way to modify the APN. But if your goal is to block ads, then I recommend you try Adguard. It uses VPN.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
In an effort to not start a new thread...what if my goal is to troubleshoot MMS messages not working? Only Textra seems to work for me, I can't use any other messaging apps that don't have their own APN settings, including Google Messages, because they will forever say "Downloading MMS" even though it displays an MMS downloaded in a different app while it's the default just fine. Any ideas?
Anyone have a fix for the T-Mobile MMS issue? I can't download texts that are coming through group messaging. I have played around with the APN settings but nothing seems to work.
what messaging app are you using?
are you on wifi calling at the time?
This happens to me too sometimes. Stock mms app on data. I have a few that have been downloading for three days now
until yesterday i got zero group texts that were sent to me from iphones. yesterday i changed ipv6 to ipv4 in my apn settings and group texts worked when i tested it. can't say it's a permanent fix, but definitely give that a shot.
I switched from Hangouts to the Google Messenger app as recommended from another forum and so far it seemed to do the trick.
Okay so I am not using their stock Messaging app, I am using Google Messenger and I am able to send/receiver SMS, but cannot send MMS, it just says "tap to try again".
I have gone into the permissions and granted all the permissions available....
Any help? I can also make and receive phone calls, MMS is the only issue...
I got the same issue on T-Mobile, Google Messenger can send SMS but cannot send/receive MMS, also the same thing happens with Textra.

hate this 2015 complicated answer comment system
Yup, not working.
I tried what that guy suggested and it just won't work.
I granted it all my permissions, I also tried making it default messenger as well as putting it on priority.... I'm on the Chinese ROM not the Vendor / Multi language ROM
Have you double checked the APN is setup correctly? Also do you have mobile data when not on wifi? AT&T's HSPA network literally does not work in some areas, mine being one of them. This will in fact affect MMS.
It can't be an APN issue if SMS/MMS works with the stock messenger app, the problem seems to be that somehow the phone isn't letting MMS messages send/receive from any 3rd party apps.
glad I'm not the only one with the issue bro.
I slowly starting to get used to the stock app, slowly...
Just a few tests that I have run.
I have updated the APN as stated for other International phones unlocked in the past. For example Huawei Mate 8. After doing that the phone was able to MMS.
In following the same process the phone cannot perform the MMS. It can SMS but will not MMS or maintain a group type SMS.
I think the main issue comes from the locale setting on the Xiaomi. All other other International ( Chinese phones) do have under country or locale the USA as an option.
This may not seem important but it does for AT&T.
The combination of the APN and the Locale settings tells the OS and the Carrier that the Phone is authorized but also that it is in the USA were the MMS is allowed.
Not having both of these creates a conflict on the Xiaomi Mix that other International phones don't have . Huawei, ZTE, Vivo, LeEco, Asus, etc.
I have also noticed that certain Apps like Outlook or Blackberry App when setting a calendar invite also have problem with Time Zone setting a revert to the wrong locations
Overall I think we need a way to insert USA as a region or locale so the phone and carrier can play nice at the APN settings
Same issue for me....sigh
