Try using Greenify to save battery. It closes apps running in the backround.

wipe battery stats via recovery or you can always reflash the stock 5.1 ROM as it can be flashed without any kind of wipe. Also avoid the use of heavy apps and playing games for a few days. These steps can improve the battery life as i have tried these on my sparkle V. Also third party apps do no good except using RAM.

Ok

Xposed is not working on 5.1 but can we greenify system apps with it any modules working?

Don't push your device too hard. I've same problem like that, but while the device is idle, the charging process doesn't draining when plugged in. If you playing game in the device while plugged the battery drain.
I think this is the kernel problem. Because when I'm using Lenovo S650 that has same specs with bigger screen, battery draining when plugged in not happens. ?

Bad battery drain by system

I have had really bad battery drain, with the phone lasting maximum of 4-5 hours with very light usage.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I was thinking maybe doing a complete wipe and reinstall of the os. I had an xperia x10, which had an app called SEUS (Sony Ericsson update service) which would force the recovery and complete reinstallation of the os.Does that sort of utility exist for this phone?
Thanks in advance, and sorry, I'm new to this phone.

You can use Better Battery Stats to look when the phone is in deepsleep...
If there is not much deepsleep, you can try deleting some apps like facebook and other apps which always run in background, then test deepsleep again and there should be a positive result...

Tried that. It seems to be mostly the system using the battery

Uh oh, Sony patched up the software to prevent access to App Ops.
Those apps just open the menu. They don't control anything. The hidden menu is gone.

When I was on .257 monx rom I got about 2 days total usage and 5-7 hrs on-screen time, now on .290 in generic stock, and rooted and busyboxed with doomlords kernel I get like 1 day total usage and 3-4 hrs on-screen time, that's lame coupled with worse bluetooth audio and ram bug, waiting for another update

After upgrade to 4.3 my battery drain overnight with wifi/3G/data/sync off, only 2G on, is very bad: before upgrade I had 2% in 8h now it is at least 0.5% per hour
I believe the problem to be google localisation services: please see my thread below

Yes, I think it is pretty normal unless you find that your battery drains too fast. Let's say you have an app like Reddit sync taking 70% and android system taking 20%, than you'd say that Reddit sync is draining your battery. But if nothing else drains your battery, then it has to be android system that uses the energy coming out of your battery. Afterall, your phone is On and thus, the system needs to fonction to keep it going. Thus, I would say that optimizing your phone so as to have Android system using as much as possible, in percentage, would be ideal.
Fair enough, thanks

For the drain you can monitor which program keep your CPU wake with wakelock detector.
And what about the usagr details error?

don't think theres anything wrong with your phone. The usage screen shows two things: app usage and other usage, afaik the app usage only shows how much of the battery is used by different apps (android system, viber, youtube, etc) and other usage shows usage related to network, and since youre in airplane mode, it doesnt have anything to show under that category.
Try using a couple of other apps, such as youtube or music for 15 minutes, im sure theyll show up under the app usage after that. And also take your phone off airplane mode, and im pretty sure after a couple of hours the other usage category will have things such as "phone idle" or "cell standby"

Are you using a custom ROM? If yes which one?
Generally it's a normal thing to see your battery drain faster when you use (Wi-Fi/GPS/3G).
Yes i use Cm 11 23/08 nightly

GPS + Data + display consume a lot of battery
I used google maps and in 30 min it lost about 15-20% battery...
Maybe with other rom it'll be better. Actually I have KK from Mackay

Use this app to see what keeps your device awake and then use the privacy guard to adjust your apps accordingly. I saw a big improvement when I disabled some apps that were waking my device up all the time.
But you can't really do anything to stop the battery consumption when you use GPS/3G/Wi-Fi.
