I extracted both zip files to my Downloads directory. Then, I copied the apk to /system/priv-app and the audioeffects file to /system/etc and /vendor/etc. Make sure you rename the original audioeffects file before trying to copy the downloaded one.

I have a question!
Does anyone know how to root I9305 on Mac using heimdall?
Cheers!
Buy/build a windows or Linux PC. Don't support such a company.
However I will support using a Samsung device:
You can root it on the device using Mobile Odin
It costs a good $3
It's a bit hard to meaninglessly fork out $3 for no reason so here is a version to let you trial it - https://www.dropbox.com/s/4z1639ztv7vgu17/Mobile ODIN Pro 3.45.apk
Make sure to check 'Unknown sources' in the security settings before trying to install it
I DO NOT support piracy and do not have a single piece of pirated content on my device so if you like it BUY IT
Did not know that odin worked on the phone! Can you explain how to do it? Although I rather do it in heimdall

I wasn't aware that MobileOdin worked on non-rooted devices ?
To install Odin either get it off the Play Store or off the link provided above then just click it and follow the prompts
Then tick all (like in the photo) then just press 'Flash firmware'.

That's great but your question was how to get root access and i don't understand how you can get root access using MobileOdin if your device isn't rooted in the first place.

Second question, I read that you are suppose to back up your Imie number. Why and does a nandroid backup do the trick?
Your IMEI is your phone's radio's unique identifier and it is often used by your service provider
Unfortunately it cannot be backed up with a simple nandroid backup
Follow this guide to backup your IMEI (only has to be done the once)

This is how to enable free hotspot on the sprint variant of the G flex. Keep in mind this could brick your device. I do not even recommend doing it until we have a custom recovery available. However with that said I have provided the .tot and .dll files for all to use with the lg flash tool. So if you do have any problems hopefully you all can use the LG flash tool to return to stock. I have tested this and it does work.
steps to get free Factory Native Hot Spot:
1. Download this https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6HYWZRx8JLsSTRzUm1kZVM4QW8&usp=sharing
2. Extract the file you just downloaded
3. If you didn't download it from your phone, then place the two files on your internal storage of your phone
4. Install a file explorer like Root Explorer that allows you to access the root of your system and allows you to edit factory framework files and apks.
5. Open the Root Explorer or whatever File explorer you are using and navigate to the internal storage and copy the Services.jar and Services.odex that you extracted from the zip above.
6. Navigate to Root and go to /System, then Choose the Framework folder. Make sure the system is mounted R/W
7. Now hit paste.Hit overwrite existing files. Once the two files are pasted, change the permissions so that they match the other framework file permissions.
8. Reboot your device.
9. If your device boots back up fine you are set to go.
Note: This mod only works if the phone has LTE or Ehrpd service. It is also known that sometimes you have to reboot the device to get tether to work properly again if Data stops being transmitted.
Once again, I am not responsible for anything you do to your phone. This can very easily brick your device if not done correctly. This is a chance you the user are taking.
As soon as we have a custom recovery, I will make this into a flashable zip for all to use.
Thank you to MetalBoy94 for figuring this out on the LG G2.
I have now fixed all the problems with the tether. It now works on 3g. The new link is in the steps now.
Can confirm, tether working. Thanks for doing this
Glad to see you over here viperboy.

i don't know either but you could try searching in a root file explorer app. Just check file explorer apps in playstore, I think es-explorer is kinda good and has root function.
In the explorer, just select the "/" (base folder) and then use the search function
i think it is gone any idea to restore it?
