Hi there,
The medscape app downloads its database to internal storage, is there anyway to move the folder to sd card?
Link2SD doesn't link the database folder and folder mount shows permission error as far as I remember
How can I move or link this folder to SD Card on Nokia X2?
Thanks

touchXplorer lets you into the device, not sd due to secure format.
THIS is the closest thing i have found to access your SD card. I have tried and it works but its not the best as it relies on zune. so i can add office files, pics and music but thats it. anything else i add to the card does not show up from within the phone.
I have 2 Gb sd card, but in Win7 I can't see it, when I used touchXplorer.
Way?
Can someone give me an explanation on the file system on i9000. Under the root folder, there is an sd card folder, and under sd card folder, there is an ext sd folder. I wonder is there any way to move app to that ext sd folder instead sd folder? Any idea thanks!

Applications that have been written to be used on external SD card can be moved here .

Hi,
I installed Paranoid Android 4.5 Beta 4 on my xperia z. I got a problem with moving photos of my DCIM Folder from my intertal storage to an other folder oft my external storage (SD card). I already fixed the SD card permission, so I am able to create folders and files on the SD card. The only problem is, that I'm not able to MOVE or COPY them.
I use ES File Explorer my favorite explorer. I am also able to DELETE files from the internal DCIM folder.
Thanks in advance for your help

I tried that. At first the problem still occured. Then I saw, that ES File Explorer showed the message, that it is unable to copy the picture "IMG20140910_0815:nopm:.jpg.
I was confused why some pictures of the DCIM folder have an :nopm: in the name, so I tried to move all other pictures insted of the nopm ones to the external sd card.... worked. The next step I did is to rename the nopm pictures to delete the :nopm: tag out of the name. After that, I was also allowed to move this pictures to the external card. Problem solved.
Another little question: Do you know if it's possible to create a link from the internal DCIM folder to the external one? The google camera app dont have an option to choose where the pictures should be saved, so this link would be a workaround solution.
Thanks for your help

Try this it has resolved most peoples issues
I already installed this app to fix my sd card permission. In other threads I found that it is not possible to create links to the sd card because of its fat format.
So I think the thread is solved, because it now works to move pictures from internal to external DCIM folder.
Thanks so much for your help androidtweaker1
Ive been trying to move a game to my 32 gb sd card, I have a rooted phone (clcokworks mod).
So I partitioned my sd card and made the partition ext2, it being a primary. Then I connected it to my phone, and downloaded the paid version of linktosd, I linked the data but it didn't move the obb which was taking up 2 gbs. It said quote" you devive has a primary external storage which is emulated from your internal storage"
If anyone has any idea how to fix this or tell me that you cant fix it, it would be appreciated.
Ps- I have already tried foldermount and obb to sd card. None of them work.

Link2sd won't move your obb/data to your ExtSdCard. The solution to this problem is GL to SD. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.slf.ListglApp

i dont think link2sd can move the obb files, they only move the apk and data files

Obb files are the game Data files. Or do you mean data like savegames?
You need two partitions on the external sd, one fat32 and one ext2/3/4, both marked as primary.
Hi,
My phone is installed by a pre-rooted MM rom and currently it's working welll without any problem.
But I found out one issue for sd card name.
internal memory name is under 'sdcard'.
sd memory(External) name is under 'storage/9016-4EF8'.
I think some app's data is not moved to sd card(External) due to that sd memory name.
For example, I installed "Day" app and data is saved both 'Internal' and 'Ext' in Link2SD app and App2SD app.
I checked file location for the app using 'Link2SD' but app's file location is still in the Internal.
Internal - Data(Data in Link2Sd) : /data/user/0/com.osmino.day
External - Data on SD Card(Data(Ext.) in Link2Sd) : /data/media/0/Android/data/com.osmino.day (Why internal???)
So I could not move data to Data(Ext.) because it's already recognized Data(Ext.) to extern SD card.
I think External SD Card file location would be like this "/storage/9016-4EF8/data/media/0/Android/data/com.osmino.day".
How can I change sd card and internal name or move to external sd card to move to external SD Card?
Do you have any idea?
Thank you.

There are several paths to the external SD card with MM
/storage/exfat_uuid
is probably the shortest.
Download a copy of root explorer and familiarise yourself with the new MM file structure, it's not complicated, it just has new names from LL.
Using apps to move other apps onto the SD card doesn't sound like a recipe for success.
Let the Sony app manager do it.
thanks for reply.
then how can i move data to real external sd?
my storage is not enough so i need moving.
i think some app try to install data in external sd. I think many apps try to find sdcard named. currently sd card is internal memory. and exact sd card name is storage/9016-4ef8. i think that's why my internal memory is not enough.

Take the SD card out, save the data on it, then format it
When you put it back in your phone and it asks you what to do with the SD card, DO NOT format as internal storage. This feature doesn't really work, or if you do get it to work. then it's really buggy and apps can't use it.
Once you have the SD card working, just use settings/apps/*your app* In the first bar down it will say where the app is stored and if you click on it, it will give you the option to move it.
