What is your favorite Keyboard - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

I used swift on my GS5, but haven't installed anything yet. The stock one is ok. What is everyone's favorite keyboards?

The stock isn't doing bad in have to say. I wish I could make it just a bit smaller. I adjusted the size in the settings to as small as it would go but it just sill seems so large.

I used swiftkey on my GS5, not sure if I will use it on the GS6 yet.

Swype+ Dragon. Been using Swype since the first Galaxy S and I decided to buy it since the purchased version used to be better

I've always used Swype, but, I prefer the numbers at the top of the Samsung keyboard

google keybored

I gotta agree with Rodman on this one. Stock keyboard is not bad and I kinda liked swiftkey but Swype+ Dragon is hands down my favorite.

Stock is nice with the numbers at the top but just too big and not as accurate as others. I use Google keyboard now but was a swype user for years. I tried it on my GS6 but I don't like how they don't label the keys with numbers in material theme. But google and swype are close in accuracy for me.

google keyboard...modded with numbers up top

Touchpal #FTW. Seems the quickest and most flexible to me, and swiping on the delete key deletes the last word, which is a win

What is the best keyboard?

Hi,
I just wonder what is the best keyboard for Hero? Smart Keyboard? Swiftkey? or Better keyboard?
Having used most of them I kinda prefer swiftkey at the moment it's quiet good to predict and fix typing errors. I am also waiting for blindtype which should affording to reviews be available soon for both iPhone and android.

I have used all three and was using Swiftkey the most. I have however flashed FroydVillian1.1.1 and since the voice input patch I find myself using the voice input most of the time. (it has only been 2 days) It is very good at getting my text correct.
For me it's without a doubt SlideIT. I can type incredibly fast with it.
Swype it good, much better than SlideIT, but if you don't have beta then you need to buy it I think. The HTC sense standard keyboard is pretty good actualy.
Thank you all. I will install all and after a week of trial I will find the suitable for me.

i think you just get used to a keyboard rather than one being better than another
There are definitely a substantial difference in the prediction algorithms, and suggestion styles among the various keyboards.
I prefer Swiftkey beta, as it downloads a language pack and frequently predicts the next word I am about to type BEFORE TYPING A SINGLE KEY. Seriously, it'll blow your mind.
BlindType also looks promising, if you care to get that freaky with your keyboard.

I tried SwiftKey for a few days, and it was really impressive how it adapted to my writing style. I think it comes with a set of phrases and what-comes-after-what, but it can adapt as you type and (if you allow it, I think) read your old texts to customize itself to your style. I like it.
+1 for swiftkey am loving it wish they had an iphone version as well.
I've made my choise and the winner is Swiftkey. Very good and it's like the soft is reading my mind.

[Q] Best keyboard other than Swype

Some how since backing up my phone and removing the bloatware, I've managed to delete the Android Keyboard.
Is there anyway to redownload this keyboard? I prefer it to the Samsung Keyboard hands down. Or perhaps there is another keyboard you would recommend that I can download via the Market or elsewhere?
Thank you
I like swiftkey...comes a close second to Swype for me.

The swiftkey beta is definitely worth a look. I prefer swype, personally.

So is there no way to get the Android Keyboard back? Even after I restore the backup prior to the bloatware removal, it always seems to disappear. Could I be deleting something causing it to go away?

I have it after removing the bloat?
So then what happened to my android keyboard?! =/
Just do an Odin restore, that should get it back on there
My favorite has got to be the DroidX multitouch keyboard.

Thanks SOOOO Much !!! SwiftKey is AMAZING! I used to like the stock android keyboard because it was fast, had good prediction, and was black so more batt efficient.
Swiftkey's prediction is just about two fold better than the stock android. The only things I would change is to add a D-pad when you hit the alt button, and making the keyboard more black to save on batt. (unlikely it will get optimized for SAMOLED screens though)
SlideIt keyboard best of all

I just purchased this today and after trying every other keyboard I can say this one meets all of my needs. Accurate, multi-touch, and good customization all in one.

I second this particular keyboard. I find myself using this on a regular basis.
I use Smart Keyboard Pro and I love it. Great prediction and just has a good feel. I haven't tried the Droid X keyboard yet, I'll try it out.
Swype is great, but my vote also goes to Smart Keyboard Pro. I've tried almost all of them, and this one is a keeper.
For me, it's really hard to choose.
I like the Samsung keyboard because of multitouch and I feel like I can type faster on it, but the autotext is a pain.
The Droid X keyboard is nice especially because of multitouch but it is really stupid when it comes to predicting text..
The stock android keyboard is okay, just no multitouch.
I'd say the Droid X keyboard wold be my pick. I usually use that.
-Just my two cents.
i, too, am loving the DroidX over Swiftkey
I actually love the default Samsung keyboard in 2.2, I just wish I could switch the Period (.) to the other side of the space bar as I tend to hit it half of the time instead of the space bar with my right thumb.
Anybody know of a keyboard that is exactly the same as the default Samsung Keyboard in 2.2 but with those buttons switched?

ICS keyboard rocks

Just a heads up, a number of developers have released AOSP based versions of the Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard into the Market. I downloaded the one by Binary Bulge and it's just perfect on the NC. The predictions are better than any tap keyboard I've ever user other than SwiftKey. And unlike the Gingerbread keyboard, it actually sizes properly to our tablets. I am starting to find very credible the rumour that Google included BlindType technology in ICS. Go ahead and try it out...you'll be impressed. It even manages to auto correct if two words get mashed together by accident.
Sent from my Nook Color!
Yeah they've been released for a while, I'm using the same one (by Binary Bulge) on all my devices and it works great.
It looks a bit funny on the Nook Color though, the keys are huge in comparison to other keyboards on the NC. I guess that's not a bad thing though.
IMO a split keyboard is a must have for a tablet. I prefer Thumb Keyboard.

Hmm, on CM7.1 at 160 dpi, the keys are big but not excessive. It's the right size for a tablet keyboard, and similar to the size presented by Swype. The native Gingerbread keyboard comes up far undersized.

I think the native GB keyboard is pretty much perfect. I use this ICS keyboard on my phone and I think it works great, good prediction and speed, etc. But on my NC it just makes it look like a gigantic, oversize phone. No reason for the letters to be so huge.
I suspect once we get ICS on some tablets there will be a much better keyboard. For now I am sticking with the GB keyboard in CM7.1.

I guess it's a matter of preference. The GB keyboard in CM7.1 is basically the same height as a phone keyboard, but I find the ergonomics of a 7" tablet are such that I need more height than that to be able to use it effectively.
The ICS Keyboard sure is something that I absolutely love, kinda happy someone backported it to our properly working CM7 Gingerbread.
It's what will keep me going until Dalingrin and Fattire fixed their CM9 Build up to be a good replacement.
I tried it and must say they already did a fair bunch of work, it was a nice testdrive and the sweet taste of the ICS keyboard remains with that wonderful backport.
I tried the ics keyboard from johntanmi. I found the predictions to be near useless. For instance when typing out "pred" it suggests Pres, pred, or pared. Why not "prediction, predictions, predator..." etc.
FlexT9 is my favourite by far.
another vote here for split keyboard! it has an ICS theme too
good find! Thanks for this!
What I hate about the stock keyboard is very few long-press shortcuts, like /, numbers, etc.. I HATE having to go into a separate mode for them.
And the ICS keyboard has a bunch of keys in the bottom-right area which I keep hitting by accident.. I dunno why but I kept hitting "," repeatedly last night on ICS.
I think I'll just keep using Swiftkey X

Yes, I seriously missed this for a while after switching from the HTC_IME_mod. But then I figured out something.
The numbers on the stock GB keyboard are there for long-press, same for the ICS keyboard. Most punctuation is there in the prediction area. Missing are "/", "@" and some others that might be useful, but most of what you normally need is there without a long-press.
Just in case you may not have noticed - for numbers and punctuation you can now hold on the ?123, glide to the character you want, let go, and it snaps back to the letter keyboard. Quicker than three taps.

goood keyboard replacement

The default google keyboard is a little small and i want to try to get larger one. Any App recommendation? Thx
You can try out TouchPal X or Fleksy Beta. I like those 2 the best out of all that I tried.
Swiftkey, no question.
Thumb keyboard is pretty sweet
Swiftkey, hands down.

SwiftKey owns...this has been vetted out over and over on XDA. Google keyboard is marginally improved after the update last week...but SwiftKey is and has always been better. I'm waiting for Google to just buy them.

try Kii keyboard, you can completely customize the layout, make it as big as you want. has swiping and google voice input built in.
I personally use swype. I love the copy paste shortcuts as well as the number keypad shortcut and it's the best for swyping, though it doesn't have google voice input, which sucks cause dragon doesn't have offline voice.
i've heard people go on and on about swiftkey for years, and i've used the paid version of it for a number of months and i just don't get the hype. It got a LOT better once it introduced FLOW, but even then, it's just not as good as swype. doesn't have the swype shortcuts either.
my #2 choice is Kii and i think for your purposes, to make the keyboard bigger, it's the best choice.
Another vote for SwiftKey
SwiftKey hands down.
Flash back to December 2011. After losing my beloved droid 2 with its decent keyboard I upgraded to the galaxy nexus. Fast. Big. Beautiful. Can't type on it, useless. Luckily I had purchased SwiftKey for 10 cents during the marketplace transition.
Immediately hooked. Loved the ease of typing.
Although some days I still crave how my blackberry storm typed. Did it just click?
The photon Q 4G lte is probably the best keyboard I've ever tried though. Sigh. Maybe phonebloks project Ara will address this some day....

I'm with this guy, never really cared for swiftkey, but loved Kii and the stock motorola keyboard
Me like Kii just what i wanted. i prefer to actually type my messages and now that it is larger, i can type better yay! gold star
Seconding Kii, it's fantastic, VERY close to stock, and just customizable enough for my needs.
bought thumb keyboard for my orginal nexus 7 when i was new to tablets its only keyboard i use
I use swiftkey, It's highly customisable since the last update. Kii sounds great too but I never tried. One of the reasons why I use swiftkey over the competition (and even google keyboard) is that it allows you to use different keyboard layouts and languages at the same time.
SwiftKey.. Hate the stupid small stock keyboard.. Since the last update SwiftKey is the bomb... And it has full emoji support built in like the stock google one... ??????????????????

An alternative to Smart Keyboard.

Add number row to stock Google keyboard

The gang over at Android Central (thanks to user Executor32) shared what I thought to be an often sought after keyboard tweak. Very simple to do as well!

It is kind of weird I agree, but an option for some. Although it's just like a desktop PC keyboard, you would have to really get used to using the shift key like you do on a physical keyboard

I used to use these on my Nexus 5 havent tried them on my Nexus 6
If you don't like this you can use the g3 cloudy keyboard

Kinda weird but I like it lol.
I have been spoiled by the Samsung Note keyboards that have been ported to the S3. When I get my AT&T Nexus 6 a year from now when AT&T gets their crap together, I hope someone will have ported a Samsung Note style keyboard to the Nexus 6. It's a VERY user friendly design.
