Just got my first email regarding the status of shipping my nexus 7 seems if your ordered before the 11th you'll be getting it this week with over night shipping. Anything after the 11th will be next week with over night shipping.

Oh, and here is to hope that I actually get it. I noticed after I ordered that the shipping address was different than my billing address but only the city / zip were different. When i first moved in to our home and up to a couple years ago our postal address was one city / zip (we live in the county outside of any city limits). and then a couple years ago the postal service changed us to a different city / zip. One that is technically closer. I immediately contacted google via email and told them of the problem. Street is right, city / zip is wrong. Well, they can't change it. Even though it hasn't shipped yet, and this is what the guy actually said.

Sigh, I can only hope UPS is smart enough. Of course I could walk in to staples 5 miles away and buy one tonight if I wanted. With no shipping.

Ended up snagging the last pre-order off Best Buy Canada online with free shipping and currently on the phone with a rep to cancel my Play pre-order. I'm never ordering hardware from Google ever again unless I'm in the US.

8gb unfortunately hopefully I don't regret not getting 16 gb

SO that experiences of very new device can be shared with the person at places where it will still be not launched like India.

When can we expect the US release date to be officially announced? Everything that I've read has speculated 3/15, but I've yet to see anything that confirms it.

Already Pre ordered a contract one as well for my brother.

I went to several stores this weekend and asked when they were getting it.
T-MOBILE STORE - manager said sometime in the summer.
BEST BUY - said late April
@ the MALL - dude said he had a demo and played with it but couldn't show it and said it was out in 2 weeks.
These were all in California US.

[Q] Google Edition: m7_ul?

Hi all,
With the impending release of the official stock "Google Edition"/"Nexus Experience" One, I was wondering a few things:
1.) Is this device likely to be m7_ul?
2.) Will it be possible to rip the firmware off a Google Edition device?
If the answer to the above Qs are both "yes":
3.) Isn't the logical answer to buy any m7_ul variant, apply S-OFF and flash?

This is precisely the reason why I sold my Nexus 4 and bought the the HTC One. You will be able to flash the Nexus edition rom onto the HTC one, just might need a bit of tinkering intially.
The way I look at it is, we will have the best of both worlds. Sense which is currently miles ahead of touchwiz and the pure stock Google experience for whenever we want a change.

No, the google variant is listed at us$600, that's quite a bit cheaper than the sense version

True, but:
1.) I can get a second-hand m7_ul; second hand GE versions, when they arrive, are going to go for mega-rates internationally on Ebay.
2.) The LTE bands aren't compatible with the UK on the GE version.

From what I've read it will be stock android camera with the required support for the ultrapixel camera.

I've tried asking llabtoofer if he knows anything about the Sprint M7, both when he announced for the One max and the One for Telus, and I haven't gotten a reply. I even went as far as asking Jason MacKenzie, thinking he'd say something like "before the end of the month," but haven't gotten any replies back.

Rogers and bell just received the official sense 6 update, hopefully Sprint will be next.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Canada get 4.4.2 before we did? And then Sprint got it a few days later. If they are following the same trend, we should be next......hopefully

I could have sworn we got it about a week before them but I could be wrong. Either way I'm sure its on the way for us.

The One max for Sprint got it at 10am EST. I'll be checking my phone every day between 10am and noon EST to see if we got it, lol.

Also getting mine tomorrow. I didn't go to bed last night thinking I would have it by wednesday. The fine print for the Netflix offer says you have to get the phone between 8/21 and
9/30....I hope that is a little flexible since the CEO kicked things off early.

So I initially registered to get the deal and get notified when the phone was available for order. The phone was available to order early so I hastily ordered from t-mobile.com. I now have the phone but no email about the deal.

I ordered a 64gb yesterday morning and got it today.

So far, i really like it. The build quality is great and its really fast. I just wish i could have gotten tge 128gb version. After i transfered all my music and stuff i only have about 10gb left.
