I have a galaxy s i9003,i recently discovered a problem with two pixels on the screen, whenever the screen displays black the two pixels will not not turn dark they will have a different colour, apart from black they work as normal with any other colour displayed on the screen, so its neither a dead pixel problem or a stuck pixel problem, have issues only with the black colour and you can only notice it with careful observation.
any suggestions?
try google for a 'pixel fix video' if that doesnt work, i suggest you send of for repair, the i9003 isnt even a month old and already you have issues.
not good
will surely try that thanks
I have recently noticed that my screen seems to be always using about 40-50% of the battery even when the note is off for long periods of times. I have also noticed that I have 1 pixel that stays on red even when the note is off. I need to be in complete darkness to notice. I keep my screen on min brightness and I dont use the automatic adjustment, and it is in standard mode (not dynamic).
My question: is this pixel keeping the rest of my screen on? is this likely to be a hardware problem? Is it covered by the warantee? any ideas or is anyone having similar problems with excessive screen battery use?
It seems unlikely that that red pixel would keep the rest of your screen on. Your battery problem is most likely due to a rogue app.
To troubleshoot that pixel, get an app called dead pixel detect from the play store. It flashes different colors on your screen so you know if the errant pixel stays red, or changes. I'd also recommend that you reboot the phone and check again, to make sure it's not a software thing. If that pixel is actually a dead pixel, then yes, you can avail the benefits of warranty. The service center person will most likely try to talk you out of it, though.
same here, the pixel stays on for 30 seconds even if i lock the screen.. i can advice an LCD test: type *#0*# tap "green" or "Receiver (White)" and look if you have one pixel black (look very close to screen), if yes you have a dead pixel like mine
So i replaced my HTC sensation XL's screen and now when I try to start the phone it boots into a white screen (very bright).
The phone does play the startup tune and i have managed to ring my house phone from it while in white screen mode.
Could the display be damaged? Or maybe i have done something wrong while replacing the screen.
Thanks in advance for help
