What did you put in dialer to be able to input an unlock code?
Bump.
I'm having this issue too.
Disabled the unlocking app, and have no where to enter the unlock code.
Whenever I reboot, with the foreign sim, it says: This device is eligible for auto unlocking through the sim unlocker app.
I hit close and have no where to enter a code.
---------- Post added at 03:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:12 PM ----------
With an active T-Mobile sim inserted, I was able to do this:
#7465625*638*#
It asked for unlock code.
It said accepted.
Rebooted with new AT&T SIM, still asks for network unlock.
I wanna unlock the device to use here in Brazil with brazilian carrier sim card. Sugestions? I have a G925T.
I already bought a unlock code on eBay, just waiting for the code to test it.

Where did you get the code from???
Has anybody tried flashing an international firmware to their g920t to try to get the sim unlock code to take?

That's a good idea I think I am gonna do that now.
BTW if I do this, then we find out if we can flash international firmwares on the G920t
EDIT: Didn't work failed
I got the unlock code from a seller on eBay. Was $25

This whole issue started when tmobile started testing the Samsung Galaxy Avant (SM-G386T). I had bough 13 of these phones (I'm a reseller) but unlock code did not work. But this same phone was released on Metro PCS that works on Tmobile networks. The model numbers was same with Tmobile except the roms was different. What i had did was flashed the Metro PCS roms entered the unlocked codes from 3rd party (It worked)
Now with the S6 and S6 edge, these phones are not yet released on Metro PCS and i am not sure they will even release them. But if they do i think it will be good to try. I am not sure if the international Roms will work since as there might be a slight hardware difference.

I tried that but it will not accept the code because of that unlock app. Do you have a link to the Metro S6 rom you flashed? Please can you share? I have looked on sammobile but could not find any s6 rom on there just yet.:cyclops:

I don't know if this is an old news but today when I flashed att CSC I tried Wi-Fi calling and works !! I tried this before in other exynos phones and it never works I even called att costumer service in the past and they wasn't able to help me out .
thats great. does sampay work properly too?
Did you lose anything by flashing the ATT CSC?
Q: how do you find the device works on ATT. I compare it to my ATT Note * and its data speeds are much lower (in NYC)
---------- Post added at 04:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:52 PM ----------
...also which CSC file did you flash, did you flash that only, was it OREO OR SOEMTHING ESLE?
Please let us know what you did to flash the csc. Thanks.

Can you PLEASE let us know what exactly you did to get it working?
What rom/version are you on?
What version / where did you get the ATT CSC?
Details please!
TIA!
I dont believe you did it.
DELETED. Realized this was for the Dual-SIM device.
Do any of the root methods work for this variant? Don't want to mess anything up without confirmation from someone who has the same device and has rooted it successfully.
If you find 1 I'd sure like to get ahold of it

Ya I should be able to get them to unlock in December. You have to be a customer for 6 months with them before they will unlock it
Im not sure what you guys are talking about but its well known the e5 cruise by cricket is on the unlockable bootloader list by motorola so theres no way to flash a nonstock recovery, root, or flash a custom rom as of yet. And its unlikely it will ever.
Just got the phone, unlocked it, works fine on T-Mobile, but I was wondering if we can debrand this or rebrand to another carrier like most G9xxU phones out there. I know this is a P and probably isn't simple, but has anyone tried yet?

what csc are available on your device/firmware? for example my N976V has VZW and GCF.. i switched to gcf and its basically unbranded.. at least in my case..
problem with the carrier specific models they might have slightly dif capabilities such as network so putting csc on that doesnt go with the device might not work right

can u take a pic of ur about phone and software info and post it so i can see what its reading as?
this is very interesting since it would mean that the regular U versions are signed with same keys as the 5g sprint version which is unlockable.
also, did u flash everything? BL AP CP CSC etc?
I flashed the G977tuvs2ash_8_tmb_[www.unlockguy.ca]. I have since paid my sprint bill, refreshed the sprint firmware, and it is good as new, with the OEM unlock button now showing up. You want me to try it again without enabling oem unlock and see what happens?

Well it has only just been released, and verizon is notorious for their security
So can someone summarize what can be bootloader unlocked? Not sure why there is no thread dedicated for this, maybe it wouldn't be asked 1,000 times over and over.
SM-G977P: Sprint 5G, can be bootloader unlocked like Exynos and other Android phones easily and rooted.
SM-G977T: TMobile 5G....????
SM-G977U: Verizon 5G, not unlockable or flashable?
SM-G977N (Exynos): ?
I purchased a used samsung galaxy note 9 from a second hand seller to save costs. turns out the imei of the phone has been changed and belongs to some other samsung phone. is there a way to restore my original phone(SM-N960F) imei number? it is necessary so that I can exchange my phone. I think you have not understood my problem. I purchased the phone from a reseller. When I checked the IMEI on internet, it does not belong to Samsung galaxy note 9. It seems the reseller duped me. Now I am trying to figure if there is a way I can restore the original IMEI?

You can use the software to check it yourself!
No, if you don't have the original IMEI number you are asking for someone else's...
No other way to get an original Note 9 IMEI.
Are you sure the phone isn't rooted with a custom ROM installed as this also can change, not the IMEI but the model number of the phone to get features to work. To check, go to settings>about phone> and check the rom version.
You could also put it in bootloader mode and check KNOX=0x0 instead of 0x1 but there are ways to, cosmetically, change this to look like Knox hasn't been tripped.
Changing IMEI's is illegal in most parts of the world so not much help will be found here.

If Knox is 0x1 then the phone has been rooted.
A quick search here or in google will give you the steps to get to bootloader mode.
If IMEI has indeed been changed then, without the original IMEI, you are screwed...
Best bet would be to return to seller and get money back as you may have stolen phone.

Got the phone checked by another helpful member on here. Apparently the phone is not original Samsung but has some Chinese build. As per him there's nothing that I can do. The seller has just disappeared and won't answer the calls. Guess I am screwed.
It's not a modification of the IMEI, just a copy of an IMEI to make it support dual SIM, if you don't like it, you can flash the official firmware, the official firmware only shows one IMEI!
