ive had my GWR for 2 days now and my first thought is that i love it! BUT i use a custom face with watchmaker (if that makes a diff?) and the watch is constantlycrashing where either it'll restart itself or i have to. when it crashes alternates between a screen that looks like an old tv not tuned in or complete freeze. nobody else seems to have these issues from what i can see on the net so its gotta be something i'm doing, but what?
You are not alone. The "white noise" look (old tv like there is no signal) is caused now and then by badly designed faces in watch maker. It happend to me also. You may want to use other watch face.
My daily driver is watch maker and I have great battery life and stability.
it seems to be linked to the always on feature, once i turned that off, everything was fine
Hey guys.
I cycle each day to/from work for about 14 miles and use my watch all the time, but sometimes it's difficult to do something on the watch while cycling.
I was thinking of mounting the watch on the handlebar and wanted to ask you guys for a nice solution.
Also, I am using Strava to track my cycling, but what else are you guys using?
EDIT: I have a metal strap attached to my watch, that does not fully open (like the original strap) so I don't really think I can add and remove the watch from the handlebar unless I attach it to the bar end, or something like that.
There's some really nice looking watch faces out there, but once your watch goes into ambient mode, it doesn't look nearly as good. I know this is to save battery, but I wanted to know if there's anyway to keep the watch from going to ambient mode, and always showing the live version of the watch face?

Just a side question... what watch face is that?
I've seen a couple watch faces that let you extend the time of the active face but haven't come across one that lets you permanently leave it on. I assume you wouldn't make it through a day with the watch if you had it on the whole time.
Just saw this.... StayLit Wear
No idea if it works but there's an app that is supposed to do what you want.

Its not a good idea to have screen always on due to burn-in on OLED screens.

The ambient screen moves a little every so often and I assume it is to prevent burn in. I don't know if it does it when the screen is on because I don't leave the screen on more than 5 seconds. Do you know if it moves the screen when on as well to prevent burn in?

I don't think it moves. At least I never seen it move in the full mode.

That's exactly what I wanted! Thanks so much!
But keep in mind what was said here about burn in on the Urbane. If you don't see the watch face moving a bit every so often, I wouldn't leave your watch face on. It could burn into the screen.
Has anyone reported burn in yet on the urbane? I thought burn in was an issue people didn't need to worry about anymore.

Some types of screens don't suffer from burn-ins while others do. Anyways you can be the first to tell us if you get burn-in on your watch.

There's a guy on reddit that is saying his burned in. But, the fact that they have the watchface move a little every 5-10 seconds in ambient mode pretty much leads to the conclusion that the manufacturer was concerned about burn in too.
After all of this, I wouldn't have the screen on all the time. No way.
I'd like to know as well what face that is?
hello guys

I've read about others have this problem with the Urbane 2. Have you tried resetting the watch? I believe this stopped the issue for others in the following thread...... http://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?t=698153

Mines been doing exactly the same since the last update, and not just in theatre mode. I've literally just tried resetting the watch and indeed my phone (it was due for a clean install anyway), but it's too early to say whether it's definitely fixed the issue or not... So far so good, though!
I am facing the same problem for a long time and I've been trying to reset my urbane twice already but it makes no changes
So, I just opened my LG Watch Urbane, and I started to make some fancy watch faces, and I am noticing that it appears as if the screen is not displaying my watch faces completely centered. The images I am creating are centered on my computer, and they are centered in both watch face applications (on my computer and phone) I am using, Facer Maker and Mr. Time Maker.
I've attached two links to photos of one of the faces on my watch to give a look at what I am talking about.
The faces seem to be shifted slightly upward and to the right...?
Has something like this been reported? (I've also noticed that it happened with other faces, including stock ones.)
Is there something I can/need to re-calibrate?

Help! I did a factory reset and it didn't help.
Anyone else have this issue?

In order to prevent burn in, the watch face will occasionally shift around, so it's not always perfectly centered.
So you notice it moving, or is it always shifted the same way?

I know what you mean about it moving around, but it's always shifted like this.
Can others please weigh in on this and post pictures of their watches? Thank you!
