Hello,
The S6 has a feature mirrorlink and I can connect the USB with my car (Toyato Aygo X-Play with X-Touch screen) and connect with Mirrorlink but I don't see any apps.
If I go to settings mirrorlink before connecting I see just one certificied application and that is the standard call function unless in my car I don't see any apps.

Maybe because I need to update my X-touch firmware that I don't see any apps but does someone know which apps are more compatible with mirrorlink to download from google playstore?
Best Regards,
Coddeest
Anyone else figure this out?

Sgs6 support mirrorlink 1.1+
X-touch only 1.0
But from what I have read last week or so, Toyota finally decided to upgrade. Talk to the local dealer
Mine told me 3 months ago, that mirrorlink 1.1 had the possibility of giving third party apps permission to the x-touch which they found bringing the customers in danger. Why they are releasing it now, I do not understand, but I'm thrilled!

I got the operation of MirrorLink in Galaxy S5 ,
excuse the language , do not speak English , read-only.

It looks like a neat solution for anyone who's been wondering when the Apple TV 2G will be able to boot Linux, seem to have everything that you'd need to a silent, low power media streamer without the trouble of building something using beagleboard or similar...
I have no idea how this works properly without a touchscreen but clearly it does. It should be possible to connect an external mouse or larger touchscreen display to make it easier to control. I'm thinking of getting one and a cheap IR-based 24" touchscreen display for a nice living room media controller.
Wanted to know if anyone has one and if it's possible to root this?
Bump! Anybody get one of these things yet. I'm a Google TV owner and wondering how this thing compares.
i have received it one it comes with android 2.1, upgraded to 2.2 through following forum http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1679431&p=5 and nice people working on it for rooting and all, it is just another android mobile without gsm / gps in a black box, u can attache bluetooth keyboard mouse which i m using.
Has anyone else noticed their apps updating themselves without the use of the play store? I swear today I saw Facebook and Google play music do it.

they only update if you have the auto update option enabled in the play store. otherwise they do not auto update.
I must have slept too long then and not noticed the new features in GPM. Unless they were features already implemented but not enabled until Google decided to do so. I don't remember tapping search ever opened up a small search box, it was always it took me to a different screen.

I used to get something like that third picture
And now I get this little search box, and the play store doesn't show that it was recently updated.

It's pretty standard for google to implement features weeks or months in advance to "rolling them out" and usually it depends on Google Play Services which auto updates regardless of settings. wouldn't surprise me if Facebook used similar rollout methods
Hello Guys.
As we know, we do not have a specific division for the Huawei Mate RS 512Gb Red edition, and the most closer phone to that, is the P20 Pro, this is why I´m posting here.
Well, lets go to the issue. My phone updated to the Android Pie, firmware version 9.0.0.181 (chinese version). Everything work great, until yesterday, I updated the Whatsapp from a "unknown source". Since that, I have this issuie, and I don´t have any idea how to solve it.
The issue is, that the phone isn´t giving permission to whatsapp access the contacts. I can see the option to give the permission, but cannot set it. It has a message saying "Access denied due security risk on", and I tried everything in the phone, google, xda, and everything, and no one had said something about this.
The question is. HOW remove this restriction in the system? Anyone has any idea?
Thanks a lot

Same Issue
Did you figure this out? I have this same problem on my Mate 20 pro
Never seen this menu in my life since i owned my p20 pro.
Are you sure this is from Play Store?
Try to reinstall the software again using Hisuite
You seem to have an unofficial WhatsApp installed. Delete and install the legit one.

Hi Guys,
I need help finding the compatible firmware for my Head Unit please.
I don't think it's currently running on Android but I believe it is possible to upgrade it to Android.
If yes, I would really appreciate any links where can I download the update files with instructions.
Below is the head unit with info (as displayed in vehicle):

Correct... I do have a 2018 Elantra and it is a Clarion headunit.
Any luck finding a response with the information we require?
Got a call on Thursday from Hyundai HQ and was told they received a new update for the headunits due to android 9 being the issue.
They have sent it out to all their service centre. So best to call you local service centre and ask them to book in car and upgrade head unit

That's great news - I will do just that and see what they say - thank you!
Hello there! New to this forum! So, here's the thing - I live in Europe, Poland, and about 2 or so years ago, I have bought a P30 Pro phone from one of our local stores - I highly doubt that it is a Chinese version of the device, but I might be wrong. Either way, I have recently installed Google Contacts app from Play Store, as I have wanted to make it a default on my device - I am wanting to use it with cooperation with the official People app from Microsoft on my Windows 10 PC, so that I can easily message my family or friends from my computer - But since to do that I would need to have Google's app manage my contacts, rather than the preinstalled dialer on my phone, I decided I would be willing to adapt and change my habits over to the new app. All would be nice and easy, if my phone actually detected Google's app I have installed and let me change it to default contacts app in settings, which it doesn't. Any idea why that might be happening?

Thank you, that worked. I was kinda surprised that it needed to be the Google's dialer app but glad it worked.
