It would be only possible if you have support from your ROM to disable it. Other than that, you'd need to request a developer to either disable it completely or add a function. Usually you just need to disable it by changing the value to 0 from 1 in kernel settings which would need root plus specific code line which is responsible for vibration.

I have already enabled Face Unlock, but the screen lock is still Pattern Lock. Is this a bug ?
Additionally, When the screen is locked, I still can see the Home button and Back button, they shouldn't appear on unlock screen.
Anyone who knows why ?

in my experience when i enabled pattern; face lock, swipe lock disabled automatically
and when i lock screen in pattern mode lock screen i m not seeing home btn or back btn
if u use custom rom Or kernel this bug should be for that
if u r completely stock so try to flash another **STOCK firmware/kernel
or
- repair with update service tool
- update to latest firmware
:good:
-
BUT u should ask ur question in Troubelshooting section

Thanks for your reply, and I have resolved this issue. The root cause is I installed SmartKey app. After uninstalled the SmartKey app, the Face Unlock is useable, the home and back button disappeared on unlock screen.
I found this question was asked in other devices thread but without any solution. i find the vibration on every boot very annoying. And i dont wan to wake my bed partner while flashing/ modding my phone.
1- Is there any way to disable the he vibration on boot?
2- is this part of the hboot ?
3- does every android phone vibrates on boot? if not than there mus be a way to disable it right?
Well... This is interesting. I did all the steps necessary for root withouth unlocking the bootloader (started by downgreading the firmware).
After I was back up to 77, everything seemed fine - except the wifi will not turn on.
I can swipe it to the right, it will turn blue but will not turn on.
The wifi toggle does not do anything when pressed.
Would love to hear any advice on how to get back this function.
Thanks
EDIT
Reading further into this, it seems there's a problem/glitch that occurs between kernel & recovery.
I might try to install a custom kernel, but that would mean that I need to unlock the bootloader. Since I used TA-backup, can I unlock the bootloader and then simply select the "recovery" option form the program to get the DRM/TA question sorted?
Thanks

I just tried it out on my N6, 7.1.1 build N6F26Q. No issue, phone's still locked.
Same here on N6F26Q - no problem, phone remains locked.

I have the same exact build and kernel and do not have the same issue as you. Still stays locked.
Maybe a trusted bluetooth connection.
Can you give us exact steps to replicate?
Sounds like you might have a root-kit exploit on your phone...

I've solved the issue by flashing the Official OTA 7.1.1 Image, thx for the support guys
I am not very familiar with the Tasker.
I guess that with its help you can solve my problem: Enable / disable a SIM card on a schedule.
Introductory: OnePlus3, android 7, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 MSM899.
Can someone please help? ))
These terminal commands need root and don't work in R.
su
stop ril-daemon2
start ril-daemon2
For SIM1 just substitute 2 with 1 I think. I can't check as I have updated all my devices at hand to R.
Use the above in combination with Time under Profiles.
I have this work but device mist need "ROOT".
Then: tasker , task , custom settings , system , phone1_on, 0 , use root checked.
eventhough , you will need at the end to add:
Airplane mode on
wait, 2 sec.
Airplane mode off
otherwise it will not work in my situation.

Sorry ............... Idk.
I'm on Android 10.
Eventhough if your device is not "ROOTED" ., I suggest you give it a try on this custom settings.
Thank you very much.

Mine is rooted but the old terminal commands don't work in R. Also the current R builds don't include support for disabling individual SIMs. But at least it's working in PE so should make its way to more ROMs.
Old thread. But looking into this myself. S21+ On Android 11. Seems the custom setting add-on and system / name "phone1_on" = 0 turns Sim 1 off.. but only really works after a reboot.. hoping I find a work around without root.

Seems it's turning the Sim off in Sim manager.. but it doesn't actually turn it off until a reboot. However if I turn it off by myself then it turns off.. weird
With my Oneplus 8 Pro on ShapeShiftOS (11) it doesn't turn the SIM off at all.
Even when I reboot it, nothing changes.
Does anyone have an idea what else I can try?
I foundt this old thread:
Auto-toggle SIM card (e.g. with Tasker, adb shell)
Hi, has anyone yet found a working solution / app to AUTOMATICALLY en-/disable SIM2? The app "Dual SIM Control" doesn't work on OPO5. I already started to decompile the phones settings apps to find the class that toggles the SIM but so far...
forum.xda-developers.com
I tried to import is as "SIM2 enabled.tsk.xml" but get an error saying "bad data format"
Probably because of my lacking skills or maybe the xml-file only works on an older version of tasker (It says tv="5.0u4m")
It's a shame, because it's the only place I've seen the SIM & Network Settings tab adressed (which I think is the key to using it on a OnePlus)
I've been trying this for a while now to no avail. Anyone know if perhaps Android 11 is preventing this from working?

Yes it's a limitation imposed by A11. I am not sure but I think I read somewhere that it was implemented in a Pixel Experience ROM for one of my devices. I don't find PE to my liking so never checked it out.
Assuming this is still not possible to automate in tasker with android 11? Without root. Except with the use of autoinput but that has many limitations, mostly due to the screen needing be on and unlocked (all I made work but it's not a good solution).
