I've read too many issues with the lollipop update for the watch, so I'd like to stay on 4.4w. The only problem is the annoying update notification showing up on my watch. Is there a way to get rid of this ? Thank you.
I know there's a way to block the notification on a rooted phone. Maybe it's somehow possible on the rooted watch too?

Hi,
If it can help you, i have really less issue with 5.0.2 than I had with 4.4w. And indeed, battery life is really better.
You really should try to update it.
You're the first person I've heard with a positive experience with it I'm afraid.

Guess what??? You're the first one telling me that the 4.4w is stable!!!
I had so many problems with this one, battery draining like hell, endless disconnection /reconnection, synchronisation pb... It really frightened me
Well I had to send the watch back because of the flickering screen issue, so it's moot now unfortunately.

Hi,
After the recent update my touch screen has become slow. Sometimes I have to touch it twice in order for it realize the word or app.
Is this a bug with the new update? Is anyone having this problem?
Thanks!

My wife's phone is exactly the same, very slow to respond and even turn on? Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve (apart from wiping - she would go mad!)
Thanks in advance

Hey!
I'm really fed up with this phone. I'm personally never buying Sony phones ever again.
However I think you have to wipe the phone through Sony PC software. After that it works just fine.
Do you by chance get fluctuating reception?
Hi guys,
So i use to have stock rom on my Moto G2 and Facebook Messenger worked for a few months and then one day the notifications started playing up. They always showed up 2 minutes later or they didn't show up at all until I pressed the power button. It was as if the notifications were stuck until i pushed the power button and they would all flow in at once. So I decided to root my phone and get a custom rom to try and fix this problem. I have been to no avail for the past 2 months and it is really pissing me off. I have switched between countless roms and none of them seem to tackle this bug! Any help would be so so appreciated!!!!!!!!!!! Thankyou in advance
Please anyone????
anyone??? I use messenger on a daily basis and i would seriously appreciate any help! Even if you can tell me what controls facebook messengers notifications and i can troubleshoot myself from there on a fix.
Bump
I don't use fb message on a daily basis but I do have this issue, one thing that might help is to clear your recent apps to free some ram up but that's about all I can suggest for this issue besides get a newer phone with more then 1gb of ram... As far as I can guess its the low ram that causes this issue but o could be wrong.
Hopefully this is of some help (even though It was much and I apologize that I don't have any further input right now)

There's an issue with delayed notifications that a few people have been having, myself included, but happens for all 'data' apps except when charging and when playing music (SMS and calls are not affected), this was the thread about it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/help/delayed-receiving-notifications-t2886343 if this is the issue you are having there is sadly no fix at this time.

Hey, thankyou for your input I have tried so many things, I've installed custom roms that don't use much ram at all so I'm not sure if it's a ram problem... i believe it's something Motorola have implemented to actually save ram, because the messages all come through either delayed or when the phone is awoken. So maybe the phone is put into a really deep sleep and is not awkone by it self. But then again, shouldn't custom roms fix that? So I'm really confused and any further help from anyone would be appreciated. Thankyou

Oh okay yeah i read through that forum and i posted something to see if anyone has a fix, but i doubt it. And my problem still goes on when the phone is charging as well? Also when the phone is playing music. It's really weird. But thankyou for your input any further help would be much appreciated.
Since the update to Android Wear 2.0 I am not getting notifications.
I assume that somehow I've got it turned off.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply.
That is one neck of a bug. Pretty much negates the use of a smart phone.
Huh!? I am getting notifications. What notifications are you referring to? I am getting SMS messages, Facebook messages, etc and have been since the AW v2.0 update.

I am getting no notifications at all. It does ring when a phone call comes in, but no notifications. Period.
Maybe I should disconnect and reconnect to my phone.

Might be worth a try. Check also and make sure your phone is connected to the same account as your notifications are. Easy to get wrong if you happen to have multiple accounts.
I finally went through the process, which was VERY slow, and out is now getting notifications.
Hello, as the title says this is what's happening to my phone at the moment. Happens randomly through the day, and I've no idea how to fix it. Has anyone had it happen to them and know a fix for this?
Same thing with mine. Are you at DP4?

I'm not really sure how to check that. Got this phone a couple of days ago, and its 8.1.0.
Developer Preview 4. But it you are not.
Hi, I've talked about this in the general forum. It's the wifi disconnecting for a splitsecond and giving you standard notification behavior. I don't think you can turn off the sound for this without impacting more important sounds, I have looked really hard! ?

Thanks for your work! It's really weird then, cuz my internet works fine everywhere else. I noticed it yesterday as well that I only get the notification sound when wifi is on, but thought some app was doing it.
Hello everyone, I just wanted to clarify that I used the search and checked all the sis I could
I got some nom notification or in other apps super delayed ones
Emails seem to arrive fine, but especially charts are either delayed or not shown till I open the app
I really love this device but in terms of delivering notifications it had been very unreliable so far, any other tips?
I would gladly trade battery life for timely notifications

If trying all the usual stock methods for app launch and battery saving exclusions for the apps and they're still not working, you need to kill Power Genie
https://dontkillmyapp.com/huawei
Was the same for me with WhatsApp on 9.1, but it seems to be behaving itself so far on 10 and I haven't had to disable it
thank you, another thing that i suspect is maybe i got this issue due to doing a backup and a recovery once i went to emui10 instead of reinstalling everything, but i will try the powergenie thing now
UPDATE: it didnt seem to work..just for a little while, i also noticed likee in another thread that the always on display also stops working after a while.
the cmd told me "success" after the command from the tutorial

Did you reboot the phone?
If not, then would not be a bad idea to factory reset after such a big upgrade
you know what, i will try it with a factory reset, i'm sjust scared that it might be the telekom patch that is coming in due to my carrier sim that always slightly alters the firmware and installs some carrier bloat

Should be able to remove bloat using the same ADB method as PowerGenie
I just wanted to thank you, it really did the trick even without using adb I receive all notifications since the rest, no matter if the phone is idling since an hour
Notification problems
I've just upgraded to android 10 and my hangouts, WhatsApp and Facebook messenger won't display notifications until I open app I've tried all suggestions above and it didn't work any suggestions?
After the lastest updates of HMS, I started receiving notifications.
I'm having the same problem...my notifications won't come on until I open the app or a few occasions I've noticed all my notifications came at once around 11am??? This has happened a few times...
