So I've noticed so far with the S6 Edge and no matter what I've tried to fix it, Google Play Services is hogging my battery and I don't know if there's any way to fix it on the phone at the moment without rooting.
Has anyone fixed this issue on the Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge?
Download GService fix from play store. It helped me out.

Hey, I was interested in buying the galaxy gear. Only problem is, I own a note 2 with cyanogenmod11-20131123. Anyway, I googled and found out that I can in fact use the watch with the null rom.
I did find out that I can install apps from the play store. But before I went along and bought it, I wanted to know if anyone had any personal experience with cm11 and the watch. Specifically with the functionality of the hangouts (SMS), whatsapp and the phone app. Any warning I should know about before I buy it?
You'd be best to read the threads here. Null makes no difference to stock in regards to compatibility with non touchwiz roms.
You can however get a fair bit to work with some workarounds

I am using the ATT variant Samsung Galaxy Note 3 running on custom KitKat rom Knoxraid, and I've been having problems with Samsung TTS HD Voices not working during Svoice or any other program that can use it. Is there a way to fix this issue?
Install Google TTS From the Play Store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.tts
Enable it in settings, reboot and profit

I will add it back to the ROM. Or I will just include Google tts.
I'm having this problem too.. And unfortunately the Samsung HD TTS sounds TONS better than the Google HD, and now that I'm on 4.4 I can't use it anymore. Does anyone know the true reason for this?

I ran it from the play store with no issues. One thing I have is from my wifes Xiaomi phone, there is an app called Google Installer, it allows you to install all the google related framworks as apps. You could try that. Apk is attached. Don't know i it will work. Its designed to install Google services on phones that do not have it preinstalled. Give it a whirl and let me know if it works.

I noticed that too on mine, seems to be standard... unless you overclocked the Gear as I did......
Hello, just wanted to share that I had a friend send me a gear2 app (.wgt) file that was not in the Samsung app store available for the gear1. I installed the app on my gear one via PC CMD - non rooted and the gear2 app works perfectly on my gear1, I have done this with 2 apps already! I don't understand why Samsung limits gear1 apps that will work just fine.. Is there a website where I can download more gear 2 apps (.wgt)? I searched online and found a few direct downloads to side load. Just looking for more... Thanks!

I know why, it's a marketing strategy to make more money, to get us to buy the newer one. Smh.

How did you do it? I Have the gear 1 running Tizen apps, there are not many apps, please share how you got more apps, [email protected]. thanks
I installed [ROM][I9505][XXUGNG4] Samy Deluxe S5 Style Operation Ivy and all of a sudden got a ton of apps for the Galaxy Gear Tizen in the store.
Don't know what has changed, but there's loads of apps. So something in the phone tells the store what apps to show... Anyone have a real S5 with a Gear and loads of apps?
Btw, if you install that rom on an S4 you need to fiddle a bit to get S Health to sync. Not sure what I did, but it worked. Installed Fitness with Gear, removed goprovider.apk and updated Gear Manager again with Galaxy Apps and it worked... Anyway
What probably changed is your build prop. A common way of getting more apps is spoofing the model number of an s5.
So long as your rooted you won't need to flash anything.

Tizen Apps - Phone Models thread gives some details, instructions for altering build prop can be readily found using Google.

I had the build prop changed before aswell, but I have more apps now then they show in their screenshots with this rom.
The screen shots in that thread are quite old now, lots more apps have been added since and they come in too fast to keep the screen shots updated.

Anyone kind enough to let me know what new apps are available on the fitness section? I had to downgrade to Android in order to use Runtastic on my gear 1 + Note 3 combo. Might consider rooting if it's now available on gear 1 Tizen..
thanks!
In the play store app when I try to sort the reviews of an app by newest first or highest rating first, the reviews sorting don't change at all.
Is this something everyone else is experiencing?

I am also getting the exactly same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S4 and all my old Android phones. I noticed it several weeks ago and still isn't fixed even after my phone updated Play Store to the new version. Does anyone know any fix for this?

I knew I wasn't the only one having this issue.
Google support didn't help either, they said to clear the cache and data from the play store and download manager and that didn't work.
Only the newly loaded comments sort out.
