Question
I am interested in buying this case but I don't like cases that stick to my pocket while pulling them out. Does this matte case have any problems?
I notice that there is a line/indentation around the back of the case - does this trap dirt/lint? I am wondering why they placed it there in the first place.

It goes in and out of my jeans pockets with no issues. If you wear skinny jeans, then I can't help you. It is remarkable to me how little dirt/lint stick to this thing. It is made of hard but flexible rubber, I haven't found anything sticking to it. Keep in mind, its a barely bigger than the phone and it does push up my screen protector in the lower left hand corner. My Spigen case didn't do that, but it made the phone feel huge to me.

It's just a cheap clear one from Amazon. This case really hugs the screen, it adds almost no width at all. Its not really noticeable unless I look for it, I wouldn't think you'll have huge problems.

Spigen cases always seem to add unnecessary bulk, especially width to phones with their cases. And their colored plastic backs scratch and swirl like crazy.
They are extremely overrated and overpriced imo.

Can someone test something out on this case for me?
Are you able to stick 1 Credit Card and 1 photo ID on the inside of the back of the case? Will the case stay on and clip to the phone?
I am doing just that on my current phones case and would like to know what cases I can replicate this on.

Does it seem like it could absorb a drop?

I'm using the black one for at&t and it has the correct mic hole openings and all. The op's pics didn't show the at&t version. Just an fyi.

Amazon just emailed me, my Verizon Diztronic Matte TPU case just shipped. Should be here by this Saturday or next Monday.

That lip on the back seems like a weird design choice... i have loved diztronic cases in the past, so I'm sure i'll order this.

At least on the Verizon version there is no lip. It is just a smooth back.

Got my case for the Verizon G2 yesterday, another excellent case from Diztronic. Very nice fit, good texture, face protection and very slim.
Great value at $12.XX shipped.

Agreed.
Got one for my and the wifes phone....she prefers my Ballistic case (go figure) but the Diztronic is excellent and not bulky.
I might try the Incipio DualPro to see how it compares to the Ballistic.

Another shout out for diztronic. Perfect slim fit and just enough case for me. Mine surprisingly arrived in the mail yesterday. Great case at a great price!

the second one has a plastic screen protector built in...that sucks. otherwise the design looks cool, just too bulky. I have a nillkin tempered glass on my m8 and my nillikin case should be here soon!

Just got mine. There's a cut out for the power button/ir transmitter. Its slightly loose on the extreme top.
And the supcase logo on the back isn't centered and its a bit crooked. Other than that its fine for a 10$ case

Awesome, in for one then!

If anyone has one of these, can you describe the quality of the built in screen protector?
Does it feel like cheap plastic or glass? Does dust get trapped under there easily?
Would really appreciate it, that Supcase full body unicorn beetle looks awesome in my opinion!

Quality seems good. The clear power button is not loose at all. Lovely design, plenty of room around the camera and flash. Plenty of room around the headphone socket. No sharp edges that I find on some ~£10 cases.
Only problem is I ordered blue, and they sent me black...

I have both the Hybrid and the Unicorn Beetle... Didn't like the Hybrid at all. The fit on it is not that good, the top and bottom lips are a bit loose and saggy. Because of that, a lot dust and lint collects through there and into the case. I took it off after a week and also noticed some scratching on the clear glossy back. I don't recommend it at all, I think after some time, this case could possibly do more harm than good to your phone.
However, I also got the Unicorn Beetle and love the case! It's as if it was made by a different manufacturer, lol. The case fits perfect, good and snug, but not too tight. I wasn't crazy about the matte plastic bumper at first, it felt kind of slippery, but after a few days it seems to have broken in and feels good, nice grip. Highly recommend the Beetle over the Hybrid, totally worth the extra $4 or so.

i'm interested in the supcase white/clear but can anyone confirm if the white yellows? thanks.

That is the case that I ordered. Reasonable build quality, the rubber on the sides is pretty firm, and a little bit more grip-y than the naked phone.
I like the frosted back, as it feels resiliant enough to withstand an impact, but still shows off the brushed aluminum on the back of the phone.
Ive noticed a little bit of glare in photos with the flash enabled, I noticed that the edge surrounding the camera lens what polished so I lightly sanded it which noticeably decreased the problem.
The cutouts for the power and audio connections were a little sharp for me so I beveled them off with an exacto.
All in all, great quality case for what you are paying, and it makes me more confident in my grip on the phone!

This is the i-Blason Clear Halo series. I contacted them and they sent a new one out fairly quickly with the same results (the little grey/black dots). I think it's where the peaks of the diamond pattern are pressing into the TPU. Maybe the hybrid style doesn't have this effect with a hard back and TPU corners? I actually love the case, but but it makes my phone look dirty.

Yup. I got a clear case from Best Buy and returned it as soon as I got a black one from Amazon. I hate hiding what I think is a nice battery cover (white), but the bubbling or whatever just makes it look cheap with a clear case.

Is the back of that i-Blason Halo case polycarbonate or TPU?

I have the Spigen Ultra Hybrid which has TPU sides and a clear polycarbonate back. While I don't have the white ceramic back, this case shouldn't press into it and cause the issue that you have with your current case.

It is. Not as hard as I'd expect though which I think is why I had in my mind that it was TPU. It's definitely not flexible like TPU and I can see where they've bonded them together. I was ready to order the Spigen and stopped when I realized I had ordered a hybrid. I don't want the same thing to happen. I'm waiting to hear back from iblason. They asked me to send them more pictures. The amazon product page definitely doesn't show the effect but who knows. They could have photoshopped them.

I got the spigen hybrid in over the weekend. It has two polka dots but far less noticable effect than the i-blason. If I end up taking a picture I'll post it up, but I'll be keeping it on there. That said, i-blason CS was great. They sent me out the replacement and ended up refunding my money. Both Spigen and Iblason seem the same quality wise. Not sure why the one shows more than the other. If I had to guess the shape of the back of the Spigen is probably more generous and/or closer to the correct curve so it doesn't have as much pressure to push into the case.

I have a spigen hybrid on my nexus 6 and it looks amazing. No complaints at all

Has anyone found a clear case that doesn't have the dot? I. have the Spigen hybrid case and there are still a few dots.

Damn, turns out my clear case also creates polka dots.. even though I don't see any on the metallic silver backing.

Diztronic Full Matte Flexible TPU - Somewhat thin while probably offering the best coverage out of the ones I am listing. I feel like they could have closed the s-pen cut out completely
Ringke SLIM Clear & Black - My favourite case out of the ones I have. The clear one however is fairly slippery, probably about as slippery or more as carrying the phone naked. The black one however is grippy and looks very sleek almost like the phone doesn't even have a case on it.

they're all hard plastic except the diztronic which is soft rubber/tpu

Rinke is what i have. the clear or smoked one allows you to add something to the back and it's very nice looking. i don't know why someone would spend all this money on a phone and put something ugly like a uag case on it. anyway, here's what it looks like:

I just ordered the Rearth Slim in black. Always liked very minimal cases, that keep the slim profile of the phone, but cover it in case of scratches and minor dings from little drops.

Only thing I don't like about the clear Ringke case is that I feel like it attracts fingerprints like crazy, also gets a bit slippery from what I can only guess is your finger oils. Wanna try out the black one from what the OP stated its provides more grip. Overall like the form factor of the case, very slim.

I currently have the black Tech 21 case I got at T-Mobile, and it's nice and protective, but is a bit thick and beefy for my taste.
I hope the Rearth Slim is thinner and less bulky.

Yeah this won't save the phone from big drops, but it does prevent dings and scratches, and feels much better in the hand nice rubbery grippy feel, than the naked slippery phone.

Looks nice... I would consider it

I've been rocking the black ringke slim on my GS5 for over a year and it definitely has saved my phone from many drops (phone is spotless). Also my brother is using one on his GS6 edge and it saved his phone from a bad drop recently.

Got crystal but way too slippery. Keeps sliding out of my pocket, etc..

Big thumbs up on the ringke slim. Even though it's slim it just saved my phone big time. 4 foot drop onto travertine tile kitchen floor and phone is still flawless. My heart stopped and i thought phone was definitely gonna be shattered. Case got a little dent in the corner so it took one for the team. Still fits fine though.

Yeah. It's weird. You may as well get some other device if you're just going to keep it inside the case equivalent of a tank. I went to a Samsung shop recently and the first thing the sales guy tried to sell me was a huge UAG case.
... and it was ugly as hell -- but you know, the guy who was trying to sell it to me looked like he couldn't afford a Note5 himself and was just trying to sell me the SKU that cost the most.

Correct. Clear one is ridiculously slipper. Black is grippy.

I have the Ringke SLIM in black, and it's awesome. I was skeptical when I ordered it, but was instantly pleased once I snapped it on. If you're looking for a case that offers protection and improved grip, but don't want to add any bulk to your phone, just get the Ringke SLIM. Don't even think twice about it.

Cases with raised edges?

Has anyone found any cases with raised edges yet?

Any ideas yet? I don't just mean raised top and bottom bezel like most cases have it. I call most cases back covers, nothing more. Totally unprotective of screen edges.

The Zizo Bolt is pretty raised up. It's what I'm using and is well made.

It's definitely slim compared to an otterbox, plus it has a built in kick stand. Had my s7 edge in this exact case for a year and it protected it against literally a hundred drops onto concrete. I'm rough on my stuff and it held up amazingly. They have a ton of colors too. This is their best case but buy it on Amazon so it's cheaper. Still loving the glass protector that came with it free by the way. Feels like there's nothing on it.
If you go this route, put it in the case first then use the case to help align the protector. Works better.
Also, I used a skinomi full body wrap before going into the case. Keep the phone like new!

I used that case on one of my previous iPhones and it was an amazing case. But it sometimes felt like a pain to remove, Not sure if they fixed the issues by now since that was back in iPhone 6s Plus days.

Any further ideas? Why are these so hard to find?
Tried the Incipio dual pro. As with Presidio Grip, the case edge still sits about a milimeter bellow the screen.

Currently using Caseology Legion for my note8 and can be happier. Fits better than spigen tough armor or the dual pro.

Comes in a few colors... Are you taking about the sides of the phone being raised or just the top and bottom? The lip on the top and bottom on this case is enough to keep the screen off the surface you place it down on

If you're in the UK, try this one, relatively cheap, good protection and grip without adding too much bulk.
I guess the reason that they don't make cases with higher raised sides is because it would interfere with the use of the 'Edge Handle'.

I have a feelkng that sits even lower on the edge screen than with others I mentioned.

I can recommend Encased Rebel. At least the side edge raises as high as the edge screen. Doesn't sit below.
Any other (good) ones?

Currently using this as well and was pleasantly surprised by the height of the side edges. They sit higher than the side edges of both the Spigen Tough Armor and the UAG Plasma, and I think if they went any higher they'd make edge functionality difficult to use.

OP. Did you manage to find anything with raised left and right edges? When placing a straight edge on some of my cases ( steel ruler ) the ruler is resting on the glass. Sure the top and bottom is raised. But not sides.

Nothing better than Encased Rebel. There are some cheap Chinese cases with raised edges, but they are filmsy and dirt magnets. Not a good protection at all. How about you?

None to be honest. I primarily use a wallet type case. But the few cases that I did buy , I found the Caseology to have a slight raised lip on the sides. Disliked the case however as it was very hard and sharp around the edges to hold.

I stumbled across a Under Armor Verge case on eBay that was supposed to be given good reviews with raised edges. Maybe try a used one for $15 and report back ?
