Try again. A friend of mine gave me a flex to fix.. At first, it was rooted and had a custom ROM on it. Something from mii.com. anyway. The only version it would accept is d955 so I put that on it. Imei and baseband were unknown so I put d950 on it somehow. Now, the imei and baseband are showing but it still will not accept a Sim.
What can I do?
Just make sure that is unlocked for any carrier. If not you can follow instructions on G2 forum.Unlocking steps are identical for flex and g2.

Its locked for att only...
D950 is At&t so if you want to use other SIM like mobile, you phone must be unlocked. See LG g2 forum for unlocking instructions. It works. I did it.

There are few ways to unlock your phone. I know that this method is for ls980 but it works also for flex. Mine was ls995 and now shows d950 with att rom on tmobile. Good luck.

Will this fix the radio being turned off? It says... Service state: radio off
Sent from my LGLS740
Yes it will, but three things needs to be done.
1.modem firmware must match
2.successfully unlocked Rom will accept your SIM.
3.set the radio to desired type ( gsm, cdma etc.)

At the end if you settings are grayed out (can't turn data on or change band type) use app like radio switcher. That will help you out.

Did everything EXACTLY as said. There was no carrier folder on the Flex, so I had to create one. It is still doing the same exact thing! I put a SIM in.. it doesn't even DETECT it and the Radio is STILL OFF.

Is there any way to fix this phone? Jeeeez. When I remove the Sim...the non working flex notices it has no Sim and says it needs a valid one to work??

Well I assumed you had a Sprint account. I read somewhere that the last 4 digits of the last Sprint number used on the device would unlock it. Since you have another SIM, that can't work. Can you somehow get the phone number of the previous owner and try it?

Well as promised here is the stock, deodexed, zipaligned, carrier IQ free T-Mobile D95910C ROM. I have not tested this on my phone so at this point this is for Developers to use as a base for ROMs, mods, themes, etc. Having said that feel free to use this in your projects, there is no need to ask for approval (but a shout out in the credits would be appreciated).
Non-developers, I am not going to provide instructions on how to adb push this as I think it's to risky for inexperienced users. As soon as we get a recovery I'll make sure the zip flashes correctly and add a download for the stock kernel and modem. Let the development begin.

Have a free thanks. Two things, first, I honestly have no idea if different variants can flash other ROMs. Second, this is a pure stock, fully bloated, and untested ROM because tmobile doesn't have a recovery yet so it's no what you're wanting anyways. I am working on a full ROM, but us tmobile need a recovery first.

Honestly I don't know. It's just the /system partition with NO kernel or modem so you can try it and worse case just lgflash to stock. However like I said without a recovery you will need to adb install, but I'm not going to post those instructions so you'll need to google it

So not to be persistant but I do believe there is now a way to ADB push CWM (unofficial) on this device and if I flash this is there a specific bootloader that Att has that might kill my device. I use tmobile like I stated before but I got my hands on an Att G Flex and really want to get Wifi Calling to work.

Also if there is no Kernal or Modem would wifi calling even work without the TMO Kernal?
Honestly if you flash this and it doesn't work all you will have to do is lgflash to stock and you'll be fine. Also, in not sure about LG but on Samsung you couldn't use the T-Mobile kernel and modem in an att phone, but Wi-Fi calling still worked when using just a T-Mobile ROM.
Having said that this zip will not flash at this time. I had made it for developers and messed up the zip itself. I'll be redoing it so it's flash able, but I just spent15hours flying and didn't mess with that. I was actually working in native Wi-Fi tethering, by honestly fighting the zip will be easy. Now in not sure where you see a recovery for att, do to mind linking it for me. I've tested a couple things for others, but so fat nothing that works so would live to see what's working. I'd love to do adb pushing all my tests

Gotcha, yes it should work for other international variants. Unfortunately all the US models have a locked bootloader so we can't simply install a recovery right now. There are people with much more knowledge then me working in getting us a recovery, but it's a lot if work so it could be a while. Ill keep looking into possible temp fixes in the meantime.

Actually that was something else I was working on, sorry if I didn't make that clear. This zip isn't flashable at all. I was helping someone else with something today so didn't get a chance, but all I need to do is add the META folder and reupload (after I test it so it'll be Thursdayish). This is completely deodexed so it should be fine.

A few pieces of advice: create the file in your sdcard, not in system/bin. Name the file hiddenmenu. Then move it to system/bin. At the top of the OP, there's a link to Xdabbeb's thread. Go there and copy the commands exactly as he has them. Otherwise, should be good.

I bought a Verizon N6 from Verizon a few weeks ago. I unlocked the bootloader, rooted it, installed TWRP and Chroma rom. Everything was working fine with the exception of occasional force closes of Facebook. I then flashed Benzo rom. I noticed days later that I was consistently not getting 4G LTE. From there, I flashed different roms (AOSP, CM, and stocks bases) and the LMY47E bootloader/radio combination all resulting in no 4G. I also tried tinkering with the APN settings and the other settings in Mobile Networks without any luck. I tried creating an APN, but it doesn't save it. Lastly, I tried doing the *228 update and a factory reset without the SIM card in, still no luck.
So in the end, I have no 4G LTE. My phone seems to work like normal, just slower data. (3G data and voice work). If anybody has any suggestions, I really appreciate it!

I did try that, except I went and relocked the bootloader. Wug didn't install stock recovery though, so I flashed stock, unrooted and relocked the bootloader.. All with TWRP still installed. I thought it was bricked for a moment, but it worked out. Unlocked and rooted again, but still no 4G.

I'm not sure why it didn't install stock recovery; I thought it was supposed to too. Maybe I missed something.
And yes, the sim was in with the *228. I was a little skeptical about that afterwards too, but my wife was having signal issues and remedied it with that on her Note 3. So I gave it a go.
