Since Xposed is only compatible with ARM7 phones on Lollipop I think I will flash the latest stock again which is 4.4.2 for my klte. With Xprivacy there is no problem with security I guess? BubbleUPNP has a module for Xposed that lets me stream audio from phone to Chromecast for apps without Chromecast support.

Real happy for you, but... what's the point of this post. We know that Xposed doesn't work (is in alpha stage) on lollipop and we also know the module's function. I don't get why you've made this thread in the first place

Imho 4.4.2 is better than lollipop for now. Most mods here aren't updated for lollipop plus xposed is working there and everything is black instead of the ugly white in 5.0. I got my S5 at the end of January and am real happy with it. Not a single problem so far Check my signature to see which is the latest ROM for the G900F. I also highly recommend you to try the kernel I'm on, it's awesome!
If you like the galaxy S6 and S6 Edge exclusive features, check out my thread on how to get them on our S5s ?

Thank you so much. Will be fun to try it out. Knew Xposed supported Lollipop, but had no idea that it was only for ARM7 devices until yesterday That doesn't matter now that I know how bad it performs in Lollipop. I prefer the GUI in KitKat over Lollipop. It's too polished in Lollipop., and I dislike white too. Great to learn that it's a great phone. So far I love it too.
Spent many hours yesterday to get it working with Windows, figuring out how to root and install rescue and trying out roms. Takes some time to getting into it when getting a new phone, and I don't miss the Sony Xperia Acro S.
If you get stuck in bootloop while reverting back to kitkat, flash kitkat modem and baseband and then try flashing the ROM itself. But i think with Odin you just flash PDA (AP) and that's it. Took me a week until i had my phone completely the way i want it xD

Thank you for the help. I have installed 4.4.2 with Odin already, and it went fine luckily. Got the rom from Sammobiles.
Great toy this with so many options. Not used to that with my former phone. Will be fun.

If you like to control your TV or air-conditioning and stuff with your phone's infrared blaster, then yes it's better. Latest one doesn't have IR blaster working so you can't control anything with Smart Remote. Technically, latest one built on Samsung's official sources is the 21.09.2014 one. Only issue is with the camera. Sometimes when you open it there are some weird colored lines inside and it lags. Toggling HDR on/off fixes it until you start it up again.
Thanks for the info. Running the latest and cannot connect to my WiFi with it. Got a backup of stock luckily.
I had to forsake Xposed to follow the development of CM. 4.4.2 works fine, but following the forefront of the development was hard to resist.

It worked a treat, syncing anyway All the APK's installed...
Although the base was not stable enough, I was getting the random reboots quite often.. So I couldnt test notifications..
I dont see why they wouldnt come through tho, considering all the APK's installed fine.

Knox bootloader was included in one of the firmware updates by Samsung, some dev's removed it.. others ignored it so it might of been flashed on your phone.
Personally I manually updated my i9505 so I have the new bootloader, although my experience with GE KitKat was crap.
Reason why I ask, users on the OLD bootloader have a much stable experience with GE KitKat...
EDIT: Knox implements a whole bunch of other crap also, like a permanent binary counter you cant reset for warranty purposes or whatever etc. I suggest you read up on it.

Nope restored back to Omega, this Rom is very buggy plus only parts of the Gear manager works, no notifications, cant lock the phone with the gear.
Lots of little things
I was using danvdh's 4.4.2 rom and it was rock solid but ended up going back to darthstalker X (4.3) because of the gear. Gear manager installed, all of the 20 apps installed, but the notifications never synced while on 4.4. I'm sure I could have kept tinkering with things, but I figured I'd go to something that I knew was working properly. I've got no knox thank god, but flashed the MK2 modem on there because of the drops with the prior modem.
Dan's 4.4.2 rom + xposed + a syncing gear would be delightful though. Very happy with DS X albeit that the BT tethering does not work properly

Xposed dev posted that Xposed for Lollipop is close. Once the official TMo Lollipop ROM hits and devs have a chance to do their thing (DK or FireKat), I don't see why people wouldn't upgrade.

I just got my Nexus 6 about a month ago and I have started experimenting with root and roms. I have tried a couple roms but I decided I want to return to stock with root just for the best stability. Is there any way I can add tweaks like the circle battery or free wifi tether to the stock rom? Thanks
Or if there is a rom that is stable that you recommend I may look into that as well
Chroma is a nice rom with just the right amount of features.
SinLess rom is extremely stable also, based on stock.

Alright, I will look into it when it becomes more stable because I do miss it from KitKat. Maybe you or someone else could help me out with one more thing. Im trying out BlissPop v2.0 currently and for the wifi hotspot, everything works as it should, but it says "no connected devices". Is there a way to fix this? I know the hotspot is working because I'm using it to post this lol.

Yes please! I don't really listen to music on my 817T but that would surely change if it were Viperized! There's a permissive kernel for your variant, isn't there? Have you done any experimentation?
Yes, V4A works great on the Tab S2.
There just is some "hacking" necessary - just follow these instructions, although they're originally for the S6, they work as well on our device:

I tried that method and another one but haven't had much luck getting it up and running unfortunately I will try that method again later and check back Btw could it have anything to do with me not using titanium backup to freeze adapt sound and sound alive? I've been using App Quarantine
Use Titanium Backup and EXACTLY do what's in the instructions. If you don't, don't whine that it doesn't work.

5.1.1 hasn't been released for any t815 yet as far as I'm concerned and if I flash the t810 version I will lose Sim card function. Guess I will just wait for an official 5.1.1 update from Samsung and try again then.
Hello to everyone!
A couple of days ago a leaked MM beta firmware for the international variant of the SGS5 (G900F) was received as an OTA update by one lucky guy from Ukraine.
Since then he managed to make a TWRP backup and share it with us.
The only problem was that when flashed it would make the phone enter in a bootloop because the Bootloader (BL) was missing.
Also root was harder to achieve since the old methods seemed not to work on this build.
The developer thread for this ROM is located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/samsung-s5-sm-g900f-6-0-1-official-t3311188
To keep it clean from various questions I thought it was a better idea to make this thread for the normal users so we can share low-level informations about that topic without interferring with the devs discussion.
Hope you will join me here in the discussion.
Thank you everyone!
Thanks. People said rude comments about me. I was only curious. Here is better to talk.

OK, I must say I'm a little disappointed by what I've seen in that leaked firmware.
At the same time I think that all the good changes are "under the hood".
Doze is OK and I think the UX will be smoother from what I've seen in other MM firmwares from LG and Sony.
Unfortunately the "Themes" engine is missing. It would have been cool to have it.
Anyone knows if in the leaked fw the shoot RAW option is available in the Camera app?
EDIT: the guy who received the update confirms that battery life is better and that the per-app-permission feature is present. So the "under the hood" tweaks exist
Ah very nice. This is a nice thread to discuss things. Does anyone know if a bootloader can be flashed by TWRP or is Odin necessary?
And guys, please stop attacking each other. It gives any thread a negative vibe. I could not care less if anyone finds himself a dev or not.

I have read a post by Tamirda or Geiti this firmware would be excellent base to build a S6 rom. Maybe that would be the true power of this firmware?
I'm disappointed about this update too. Nothing changed except icons :/
I don't understand why they didn't adapt GS6 UI on our GS5. Is just graphical effects, I don't think it's complicated to change xD.
I will try anyway this beta leaked but If the final version won't bring features like GS6 UI or Themes, I'll say bye bye to sammy

The TWRP recovery has the option to backup the BOOT partition so I believe that we can also flash a different boot backup as long as it's compatible with the phone
In the same time the BL is usually included in the single tar file that we use when flashing a stock fw via Odin.
So in the end I think it depends on how the release will be packed: either as flashable zip via TWRP or as a .tar file flashable via Odin.
The important part is that the new BL to be included
I also prefer 6.0 based on st. Not to look like s6

I think it would make an excellent base to build a clean MM firmware for the S5.
I'm staying on stock-based ROMs because I need the camera-quality.
In AOSP builds the camera quality is poorer and there are also some TW-based-goodies missing.
The Themes-engine would have been a nice addition just because we get tired of the same UX and that was a chance for us to change it without flashing custom ROMs or using 3rd party launcher.
But if it's missing it will not be a deal-breaker for me.
I'm looking forward to that Doze feature.
Just imagine how a MM barebone stock-based ROM for the S5 would fly!
Also the battery life would be better.
I have high hopes with this firmware.
With a little patience, tweaks and luck we could expand the life of the SGS5 for another year until the SGS7 will become cheaper.
So now devs can make finally a good kernel for s6/note5 6.01 MM port rom..with the s5 6.01 kernel...
I posted on the official thread by mistake and will ask here. Does this work on G900W8 also? I was able to run pre-release 5.0 last year when it was just for G900F, but that was already bundled into a ROM. I know the devs will be working on getting the code into roms, but was just wondering

Hi, mate! From what I've read the only difference seems to be the bands.
Apart from that the ROMs seem to be compatible except the fact that you can't flash them via Odin.
You need to flash them as .zip from a custom recovery.
So if the ROM will be packed as a flashable .zip file you are in luck
Here is the link to the thread from where I got these informations: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2714132&page=3
Hope it helps! Cheers!
Isn't battery optimization the same with Doze mode which we have on the current, latest firmware? Google introduced battery optimization a.k.a. Doze mode on Marshmallow while Samsung had it on Lollipop since Note 4 and rolled out to other devices like the S 5.
