Sprint Nexus 6 no mobile data on CM 12.1. - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm running the latest 12.1 nightly and I'm not able to get any mobile data no matter what I do. The APN is correct.

This also happens on older cm 12 and 12.1 builds.

Update recovery. This belongs in q&a, though.

This happened to me on chroma......i just did a full wipe and flashed the rom with the sprint zip and lte came back as normal

Moderators, clean up on aisle 5.

I'll try the sprint zip and see if that helps.

Here's the Sprint.zip. Just flash after a clean install (I always flash last after ROM, gapps, SU) and you shouldn't have any issues.

Thank you. I'll wipe and retry. [emoji1]

Still no mobile data after full wipe and clean flash.

Kind of at a loss. Thinking if just giving up and going back to stock rooted.

Would it be OK if I put this link in the OP of my Sprint users thread in the general forum? TIA

Yeah, if you're having that issue constantly, I would unroot and start from scratch. Something got borked along the way. :/

I forgot to mention that mobile data works fine on all other Roms except Cyanogenmod.

Try going to the dialer and enter *#*#4636*#*# on the last # it will take you to a menu. Choose phone info and scroll down to "set preferred network type" make sure it says either "LTE/GSM/CDMA auto PRL" or "LTE/CDMA" see if that makes a difference.

Good advice! However, I'm not sure that dialer codes will work on CM. I know from past devices that you must be on a stock(ish) ROM to use a dialer code. Perhaps this has changed though.

Indeed it does work . This is an android, non carrier specific dialer code and should work on any rom. Im on CM 12.1 myself and it works.

there was one variant that had a broken play updater so we needed to manually update it by means of re-flashing google apps (aka Gapps) I'll give you the link in an hour or 2 as I am currently busy (unless someone else finds it and links it first)

This is not my work.
This Rom is ported by spegelius. I've found this here: http://forum.slimroms.net/topic/100-galaxy-s4-active/
Everything seems to be ok.
Bugs:
720p video recording produces crap video(but 1080p works fine)
HDR
Download:
-Rom
-Gapps
Screenshots:
I am sorry I posted in General but i couldn't post in Development.
Thanks for making this more public, this way more people will get the chance to try it
Just one important hint, @spegelius didn't port it, he compiled that beast from Source, which is an important fact
I can confirm that this is a good, daily driver for sure!

Oh hey, thanks for putting this up . I never got around to it, didn't seem that too many users were interested about it. But good to hear it works for people. And about the build, i used LeJay's kernel sources etc to make it happen.
Happy to know about this! Already dowwloaded it but I need my phone working this weekend and I can't risk to have any kind of problem, I will surelly try it as soon as I get home next week.
Thanks a lot! Hope more people start working on I9295, my son's Moto G just got the OTA 4.4 update, lucky him!

Install the rom? Flash it with CWM. Install the kernel? Well i don't know about other devices than Intl S4 Active, but inst it like, even if there was such kernel, it can't be flashed due to locked bootloader?

This looks good. Has anyone (besides spegelius) flashed it? I'm reasonably satisfied with my rooted 4.2.2 stock ROM and really want to move to 4.4. On my SIII I already had KitKat and now I have to settle with 4.2
Cheers
I installed this ROM but google play acts strange. It doesn't reinstall all my packages and still refuses to install for instance swype. I chose for the aroma gapps but will do a new wipe and try another gapps
Cheers
Must have been the gapps. Up and running now and reinstalling apps. Looks good
Cheers
I have several issues. My titanium restored Wi-Fi passwords are disappearing each time. The phone discharges as fast as it is charging. It will probably be empty after 1 hour on battery.
I think I will switch to my LG G2 I recently acquired... any ideas?

Root Access
From the sounds of it, root has been achieved through the means of a modified boot.img. Here is the link -thanks @sykopompos
An alternative method is a flashable zip file. You can download from this post.
How to Install
If you are not familiar with how to use fastboot then I would advise against flashing this build. For a Google created tutorial of how to flash please visit the following link.
Exchange/ActiveSync Fix
Note: Exchange accounts seem to be non-working out of the box. If you want to enable exchange you must install the following apk and then install the email app from the play store. Exchange/corporate will then show up and can sync properly.

What about other Google Apps?
I am wondering, is it possible to install the image but keep your apps/homescreen/settings? I flashed some roms before, so fastboot is no stranger, but never knew if that was possible
Can you see if there are the new "backup feature"?
2 questiona for someone that can/wants to answer.
1. How to i upgrade from stock/unrooted 4.4.4? Any tutorial somewhere?
2. If I upgrade, after will this installation get the new/final OTA or I will need to reinstall/reconfigure everything?

OD2 Native Hotspot Mod- Deodex Only

Hotspot Hack for deodex OD2
Enables you to use the hotspot. We've all used it, we all know what it does, let's keep this simple.
ONLY TESTED ON L720 MODEL- L720T OWNERS USE AT YOUR OWN RISK
Instructions:
1. Be on a deodexed OD2, if you don't know if your ROM is deodexed ask your developer
2. Have custom recovery (you should already have one if you are deodexed)
3. Make a nandroid backup in case something goes wrong (you will have a bootloop if something does go wrong)
4. Flash zip in recovery
5. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
6. Reboot
7. Booting takes a LONG time, be patient. Once you see "Android is Upgrading" you know you are good. That takes a LONG time too.

I don't use odex, don't ask for it. If this feature is important to you, flash a deodex ROM or use one of the other methods (Galaxy Tools). This is a good deodex ROM[emoji6]- Wicked X
Consider donating, I don't even use this feature... I just got tired of seeing all the posts about it.

L720T
Tested it out. Didn't take on the Sprint L720T. Didnt mess up anything to my knowledge. Just didnt work. Running on a deodexed debloated OD2 rom. Wifi doesnt work on it either though.
If your wifi does not work, then how could the hotspot be expected to function?
