Yes it has been removed. And it was kinda expected. If u look at the Z2 and Z3 kitkat stock roms, they also didn't have "Battery test".

[Q] Sony Apps on CyanogenMod?

Hi,
Sorry novice question but, is it possible to install some of the stock Sony Apps onto a custom ROM such as CyanogenMod? I am running CyanogenMod at the moment and I love it, fast, stable, and without much battery drain. I would love to be able to use the Sony stock camera though.
Is it possible, like installing Gapps, but Sapps?
Thanks
Hi,
apps from Sony "usually" need SONY's own framework. Sadly, the framework itself is not opensourced and cannot be used on other roms.
This is the reply you would usually get when asking other rom developers. Sadly, its true tho.

No, was looking for that one that came with this device. Your signature says that you are using a Stock Firmware on your Xperia ZR. Can you pull the walkman.apk and give it to me?

I already have one from Xperia Z1 / Z running. So I think I would not have a problem running one from my own device.

Android OS: high percentage of battery usage (KK rom)

As the title says, I SlimKat 4.4.4, the version of 11/7 and eats more battery operating system that the screen sometimes (with normal use) and so I was looking for is not normal. I already did factory reset but I notice that still happening...

All 4.4 ROMs eat more battery than 4.1/4.2/4.3. I suggest you to install BetterBatteryStats and find what application is causing that battery drain, maybe something that you install causes that
Next time post something related to issues and support in Q&A, help and troubleshooting sub-forum

4.4 roms will always use more battery. Stock jb debloated with CoCore kernel is the best for battery.
Give SlimKat a try, pretty good battery life if you ask me.

with Slimkat i get about 4 hours of screen time and with stock and cocore i get 5 hours and 30 minutes(2 year old battery) with the same usage(Facebook, calls and 9gag). Slimkat is the best kitkat rom in battery backup i ever tried.

I would use stock however for some reason I cannot get group messaging. I try kitkat mms apk on jellybean but doesnt work.

CM 10.2 MMS.apk works on stock, I am using it now.
Poopski said:
Cool! Thank you for the info! Are you using a debloated rom by any chance, or just stock jb which you debloated by yourself?

Sorry, I made a typo. It is mms.apk from CM10.1. I am using SamiOS, debloated more by me.

And if you use SamiOS, know that newest update has some problem with sms receiving. I installed Textra, rebooted, removed Textra and it was normal then. Before that I was not receiving any sms, some bug probably.

Would inserting wappushmanager.apk help to solve this issue considering it is part of the sms service in cm 10.1 ?

It is working, but somehow it was not at first. I used CM10.1 mms.apk long way back without wappushmanager.apk from cm10.1.
It is true, "SO Android" consume a lot of battery in all ROMs kitkat
Also in stock 4.1.2..

Battery consumption and Lifelog

Hi everyone,
I have a Smartband with my Z3C and Lifelog seems to be killing my battery... I see 2900 wakelocks in 12 hours on Wakelock detector. Could someone help me evaluate how much battery that is and if there is a fix? I love my Smartband and Lifelog is a very nice app... is there a way to save that all without sacrificing my battery?

Xposed is buggy under 5.1.1 isn't it? Plus, isn't Greenify going to ruin Lifelog's functionalities?

Di nulla! Do a downgrade to kk, get root and install a recovery. Flash one rom or a firmware per-rooted, download xposed and install it trough recovery
There are ''much'' steps to do, but It's all easy

Hi, I followed this tutorial which worked very good for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/how-to-root-backup-drm-keys-t3013343
The problem I have though, is that when I try to install xposed through recovery, the phone hits a bootloop. Can you please direct me to the correct files for xposed? Which are working for you? I am on a pre-rooted 23.4.A.1.264 (5.1.1).
I can't find any good forums, sites or anything on xposed for 5.1.1 on d5803. Any help is appriciated!
lifelog is a battery killer?

Safe apps to remove?

Hi, does anyone have a list of apps that are safe to freeze or remove via titanium backup? (Mainly system apps/bloatware) On previous phones I've used there's usually zips that you can flash via recovery but I don't see much for the z1.
Thanks in advance

I don't suppose you know what PowerManagerService.WakeLocks is? I've looked around and seems to be something to do with all the partial WakeLocks, but no partial WakeLocks show up in BBS.
Also qpnp-charger-f5142e00 something to do with charging but yet again fail to find much information about it. Is a lot of differences compared to other phones I've previously used

I've followed that guide for awhile now, it worked great on my note 2. I tried on Sony Z1 and discovered I was getting WakeLocks so I reset and tried without and still got then. I'm in the middle of setting up amplify now. Thanks anyways
