Is your device has been rooted before? You should look for an alternative to installing a custom recovery. Check Cocore Kernel by Cocafe. Because it is already installed CWM or TWRP in it. And ones again that make sure your device-rooted. CWM v6.0.28 only temporary. As a bridge to switch from JB to Custom Kitkat.

If i upload it to mediafire will be same... I checked the update.zip uploaded by TPD-21 and isnt corrupted. Are you sure that you downloaded whole zip and isnt corrupted? Use this: http://www.winmd5.com/ to check if file is corrupted or not. In the program paste the original md5 (you get it from d-h.st download link).
Is there a chance to get recovery for stock JB to install the last build of CM11 from Epirex?

Please help me with this kernel question
Hi everyone, I have installed CyanogenMod 11 on my Xperia Sp with this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/general/guide-flashing-custom-roms-ultimate-xsp-t2888579
According to the guide I'm using the stock kernel modified with CWM by DoomLord, does that mean CM is not using its own kernel?
> How can I remove DoomLord's kernel and use CM's instead?
> Was it possible to just flash a recovery and then install CM instead of using DoomLord's Kernel?
> Would flashing a recovery solve the problem or would that brick my phone? I'm facing a strange issue with CM that I think could be caused by this..Please someone tell me that there is a way to go back..Please help
I need help
Please help. I installed this recovery and now i have flickering screen like on Android 4.3 before fix from Sony :c
is there a TWRP recovery i can install without CWM and PHILLZ on a locked bootloader?
Updated Recovery helped a lot
I was constantly getting STATUS 7 error message even after removing the asserts.
It was really frustrating to figure out what the exact problem was, then a guy from youtube said that updating to latest recovery could be of help. And BOOM , It worked.
thanks to XDA team for putting so much of efforts in delivering the nicest and updated experience.

In TWRP recovery go to: Advanced->MultiROM->List ROMs and select the ROM you wish to flash Gapps to. Once you've selected that ROM select Flash ZIP and navigate to your Gapps package.
This is also how you will update your ROM whenever you wish to flash updates

You can use the MultiROM version of TWRP, it is the exact same as the regular version of TWRP except it contains an extra menu option that you can choose to use or not use. I saw you were looking to have the CM updater work, this version of TWRP will work properly with the CM updater.
yes bro im having a problem with ota update but its dosent works for me twrp multirom one

Stock to custom recovery can be done without root. Method details here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56955843
After this you can zip flash SuperSU 2.46 from custom recovery to root.
