Try
Start Settings
Sounds and Notifications Notifications tab
Drop down box select - Reminders
Check on Display Message.
(it's a long shot.. but... what the hell...
Hopefully someone will come up with a solution, but until then, even a long shot is worth a shot)

but bro..sonetimes when u uncheck the checkbox of message also..the alarm doesnt stop....
The logic is (or was) that with the Display Message checked.. what would happen is.. you would get a message on your screen when the alarm would go off.. and hopefully you would get the Dismiss and Menu Options on the soft key.
Alternatively... an icon is supposed to appear (when the alarm goes off) on the top status bar (next to your network signal).
Tapping on that icon - logically - should give you the dismiss option.
I had the same problem a while ago and the solution is as previously posted. Make sure the "Display Message on screen" check box is ticked.
I have another problem where that box sometimes gets unchecked after a reset, but that's a different story...
HI ALL
is it possible to remove the network-connection notifications ?
every time i get a "baloon" at top of my screen saying that its connecting to my network
i DO NOT want to see this "baloon"
does anybody knows if that can be disabled ?
thanks in advance
megasound
Here's my advice: read the manual or do a search.
Settings
Personal
Sounds & Notifications
Notifications
Select "Connection Established" from dropdown menu
Take tick out of "Display message on screen" box
Having the same problem, "Connection established" notification "display message on screen" option unchecked.
Lost me then! Worked on mine.
Perhaps try checking the display message box, see if it still gives the notification, then uncheck and once again check for the notification.
that type of thing has worked for me on other problems.
Other than that, sorry, don't know!
Getting the white message symbol in the task bar is driving me crazy especially when using chompsms or smspopup.
I've got into my default messaging settings and turned off notifications but still get that annoying icon every time I get a message.
what am I doing wrong?
Open up your msg app, then hit the menu button, get into settings, change it.

If only he read the description of the apps where it tells you how to turn that off...

in settings->notifications-> you have to choose on every app what you want to display or not
There is no Notification in UI. Only "Notification panel & status bar" which doesn't have any settings for lock screen. I've found setting "Show detailed notification info" saying show the message details and sender of a notification on the lock screen, which I've disabled, but I'm still seeing who sent me an email on lock screen.

In notification panel & status bar, there is notifications management. in there you will see all your apps. select one , and disable where you don't want it to apear: banners, lock screen etc.
Thanks, found it.
I found this - it's in settings > notifications and status bar > notifications management > tap the cog in top right > Tap 'When device is locked' and choose the option you want
I solved it..
Go to:
1. Settings
2. Notification & status bar
3. Notification management
4. On top of the screen on the right you see a gear(setting icon) tab on it
5. You see an option (when device is locked) open it and change settings!?
i have a problem with this solution. When i did this i hear notification sounds but when i press the power button i cant see which app push me the notification. I just want to see the whatsapp notification on lock screen but not the message itself.

Did you try by changing Settings / Notifications inside the WhatsApp application
Yes. But nothing changed.
for me just going to whatsapp settings->notifications->popup notifications-> set to off, work.
