1.61hboot revert to stock - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Hello all, I rooted my m7 a few weeks ago. For whatever reason I lost my backup after installing cm12. Now CM 12 is all I can get to work. Sense roms either reboot randomly every min or so (never made it through setup) or bootloop, or won't activate with sprint HFA. I want to ruu, but I've read I need to relock the boot loader and everything I've seen to do that requires s-off.
What do I need to do to get back?
1.61 hboot
Rooted
Unlocked/tampered
S-on
Also, why can't I get any sense rom to run?

cant get s-off with sunshine (what i have been told i need for my hboot vers) while im stuck in cm12...help plzzz

You don't need to be s-off to re-lock or RUU and you must be on a stock rom for Sunshine to work.

Unlocking HTC One, few Q's please

I attempted to flash my UK Vodafone HTC One as I wanted Android Revolutiion HD ROM on my phone, i've sort of got half way and i'm not sure how to continue (or if I should)
So i've unlocked the bootloader, and flashed the clockwork recovery so my phone now says *TAMPERED*
It is still S-On and is on HBOOT 1.54 - having read around this cannot be done, right?
Also, one other quick question. If I ever wanted to go back to complete stock, how can I do this? I can't seem to find the RUU for my phone, and how would I remove *TAMPERED*
Here is my radio version: 4A.17.3250.14
ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED GUYS! I've rooted other HTC's before but not the One yet
You can't go S-Off on 1.54
You could just flash the stock rom and stock recovery, which has the same result as an RUU/
Tampered is removed when you lock, but you can't remove -relocked- without S-Off
Thanks for your reply.
So what you're saying is in the situation I am in at the moment, I can't flash the ARHD ROM to my phone without being S-OFF first?
It's basically just a waiting game for S-OFF to become available for 1.54 and then I could just flash the stock ROM and recovery and then S-OFF to remove the TAMPERED or RELOCKED.
This will be just incase id ever need to send the phone off to Vodafone for whatever reason

[Q] Bricked Sprint HTC One M7 - Stuck in boot loop

Hello,
About a month back I destroyed my old HTC One. I unlocked the phone and flashed a new rom for the International version instead of the Sprint version. Ever since, no matter what rom I use, the phone is stuck in a boot loop. I cannot set it back to factory with the RUU because my version is more recent and I do not have S-OFF. I've since bought a new phone, but I'm looking to attempt to get the old one working. This has been a learning experience.

Hello I have a problem,
I have htc one m7 locked for sprint (hboot 1.57.000, android 4.4 ) I already root it then i tried to turn s-off with rumrunner it was not possible cuz my kernel was stock ( I think...) so i tried to install custom kernel (Bulletproof-m7wl-1.2.zip) i then i stuck in bootloop ( htc logo). Now I can enter in recovery (teamwin) but i don't know what to do next.

You bootlooped because you loaded an incompatible kernel. Use *only* m7spr/m7wls kernels.
With that said -- just download a ROM you want (again -- stock with M7SPR or M7WLS (they're the same thing, just different ROMs call them by various names -- not going to explain that here).
Then, load your recovery (hopefully my TWRP 2.8.0.3 because it will work for you); "adb push" the rom file to /sdcard (i.e.: adb push <path_to_the_zip>.zip /sdcard) -- yes, that will work in recoveries.
Then install the ROM in your recovery. You should be fine with the caveat that if the kernel you loaded messed up your partitions (by writing it to the entirely incorrect disk partition), you'll have to RUU back to stock.

[Q] M7 UL Blocked

Hello, I apologize in advance if I'm wrong section or anything like that ..
my htc is not 'a google edition factory but a few months ago I changed the cid and flashed
a ruu google edition and until a few days ago all good ..
unfortunately I had to format everything from cwm recovery and re install a ruu not successful, I found myself without os after several attempts I managed to put it back

now .... how can I do to install a rom and at the very least be able to turn it on?
thank you very much in advance I hope someone will be able to help me <3
edit: I forgot ... the cid is 'GOOGL001, I can not turn it on so I can not do s off to ... I flashed the boot and recovery and then the firmware but still not turn onD:
trying to flash a ruu from rebootRUU --> error signature verify fail --- 12 ---
Is your recovery working?
If so, maybe try flashing a stock GPE ROM.
Sounds like you used a custom "RUU" (maybe the one by graffixnyc) to install GPE the first time.
The same ROM is available as a standalone download (look for a thread by bigxie).
If recovery is not working you may have challenges. Me personally, I would want S-OFF before doing anything else.

[q] htc one m7 hboot 1.57.0000

Had this phone for around a month and i'm really happy with it apart from the 3 network branding on startup. The phone is S-ON and showing HBOOT-1.57.000 in the bootloader.
I have looked on youtube and someone claims to of put a custom rom on their 1.57 phone even though the phone is still S-ON? Is this possible? If so would I be able to put a stock rom onto it to remove the branding with it still being S-ON?
Thanks in advance.

You can flash custom roms on s-on phones. All you need is the bootloader to be unlocked and a custom recovery installed.
Returning back to stock might require S-off depending if you need to run an older version RUU to restore the phone. S-OFF is also required to reset the bootloader flag to LOCKED (not RE-LOCKED) and to remove the TAMPERED flag.
Ok thanks for that.

[Q] M8: S-On, Unlocked and want to get back to Stock

Hello, I seem to have got myself into a fix and need to reach out to the M8 community for assistance. I purchased a lightly used HTC One M8 that appeared to be in near mint condition. The phone was unrooted, locked and S-On. Although, it did have the Harmen Kardon rom installed and it is not the HK model, which I found odd but nothing more. I verified that the phone could be added to the Sprint Network so all seemed good.
I immediately set about rooting it. I have owned a number of Galaxy phones and considered myself rather adept at rooting, loading new ROMs, updating firmware and troubleshooting in general. I would occasionally soft brick but I'd always fine a way out.
Rooting the HTC was just different enough that I skipped one critical step without realizing it an now I am stuck for the first time ever.
I used the HTC Dev site and the HTC All-In-One tool to unlock, root and install TWRP 2.8. Two things that I did not do, S-OFF and back-up my stock system image just in case. Now, while I have Viper 4.3.0 installed and running fine, and I can switch to at least one other ROM (Bare Bones 2.1), I seem to have no path to get back to a pure stock ROM if I need to do so. And that bothers me. =)
It seems from what I have read that using an RUU would be the easiest route however, that seems to be impossible from the S-ON position. I have tried Sunshine, but it refuses to work; giving errors something along the lines of it does not like my ROM load stock or something closer to stock. Which is why I tried Bare Bones. I looked at Firewater but it seems to have issues and is not really supported anymore. I have tried various command line scripts via miniADB but still nothing.
My understanding is that if I could get S-OFF, I could install the RUU and return to stock. I even tried flashing a stock nandroid BU but that did not work either.
I suppose I should not complain, it's not bricked and it has a cool ROM installed and I can activate it but I just hate that I made such a blunder and that I can't figure out how to fix it.
Any thoughts out there? Let me know if you need additional info. This is what my bootloader is showing.
Thanks in advance!

From what I have read, relocking the bootloader with custom recovery, ROM or kernel will result in the phone not booting. Is that true? I am nervous about doing that and still not being able to successfully restore stock with an RUU. Though, again from what I have read, I should be able to re-unlock and put things back.
Every guide I am seeing says that getting back to stock is really only possible with S-Off and that there is no way to get to S-Off from Unlocked. So, I am feeling that I am out of luck.

The phone will still boot. Also, S-off is not necessary to get your phone back to stock. The entire point of a RUU would be lost if it only worked when S-off.
