What ROM are you on? You can also flash the stock one.

I don't think so it is a Rom problem
It's more of the hardware

Very weak WiFi signal/disconnects often

I'm having a problem with my diamond, at work I connect to the wifi hotspot there but I don't get very good signal, tested with another device(ipod touch) and it has full signal and works without disconnecting. Mine disconnects randomly when it looses the signal completely. I'm using stock wwe 1.93 rom with radio 1.08.25.08. Is there a way to make Wifi work better? Maybe changing the radio will fix it? I saw in another thread that weak wifi signal would be the cause of a disconnected wifi antenna inside the phone. I really don't wanna slice open my phone as I'm pretty noob at this. Any other recommendations would be great! Thanks in advance
does anybody know how to try and fix this?
try your Wifi with an AP at home and if you have the same problem, use your warranty. You can try with the programm Wififofum to see the Db that your phone is indicating near the AP (10->80 DB ( 80 is far of the AP)). I hope it will help you.

[Q] How to disable screen light and not loose wifi/3g connection?

Hi,
As I use my old diamond now as wifi/3g router I would like to disable this feature, which makes him cancell all connections when press power on button to disable screen baclight. Always when screen goes off, phone cuts all connnections, where can I change it? I have WM with HTC Touch Flo.
Hello Kajman,
i think you use this via the usb-Port.
If the Diamond goes in Standby it "only" disable WiFi and USB Connections.
WiFi can be fixed with DiamondTweak (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=409540).
Which tool USB fix i don't know.
Kind regards,
Kkangpae

Burned Out the Mobile HotSpot Hardware?

I have a rooted XT1096 using MoFo and was able to turn on my Mobile HotSpot fine after disabling the subscription check and it worked fine. Then it stopped working. Tried reflashing the rooted image but it didn't change matters so I think this is a hardware problem.
Can you burn out the hardware that is responsible for the Mobile Hotspot? Everything else works fine on the device - WiFi, radios, bluetooth. I didn't drop it or anything. Just wondering how this happened. I was tethering a lot. But I have done that with all of my phones and they never just stopped working like this.
It was apparently a software issue. I flashed back everything to stock and then re-rooted and now it works.
Glad you got it working. Just to provide an answer to the original topic, it's not possible to burn out the Mobile Hotspot hardware and still have WiFi and LTE work... because Mobile Hotspot just uses a combination of the WiFi radio and LTE radio.

Sony RX100 ii connectivity

Hi anyone have experience with connecting the n8 to this camera? Using the sony memories software it tries to connect but disconnects immediately. Any ideas folks.
I have an A5000 but i believe the method should be same.
When using wifi transfer i set it to wifi direct rather than through a router/access point (never had any success with using wifi router), when connecting directly to the camera the phone will complain about no internet access, make sure you pull the drop down and select stay connected anyways (otherwise the note may drop the connection so i can reconnect to your router that does have internet connection)
Found the solution I had to disable mobile data. Only found this out this by checking whether it worked on my tab s3 and it did so was a matter of deduction. Thx
