Does any one know how to root 10.4.B.0.569

Z 10.4.B.0.569 couldn't be rooted with both exploit, so this root tools cannot be used with newer devices/firmwares than Z1 .257.

That's why I didn't link to that method in the first place.
Are you saying that it actually does work? If so, report it in that thread as a supported firmware.

No, it does not work. Tried already and can confirm it's failure.

Is there any way to do so without unlocking the bootloader?

Ive rooted my Z already using the advanced stock kernel v11 by DooMLoRd... thanks to all

Why sir? Why can't you unlock your BL?

Yeah sad to hear from that...that's why I bought mine not from the carrier supplied phone so that I can do whatever I want

Z1s - Need its own thread?

Does anyone think the Z1s should have its own thread or at least sub-category?
Just a thought.

It's the same exact phone but with a locked bootloader and most likely not much development, so no I don't think it needs its own subforum

This was not confirmed yet by any Developer so wait until then, do not risk to brick you phone, the solution will come soon.

I already tried. It doesn't work just like how you cannot .290. I doubt you can downgrade to a Z1 firmware.

I currently have the T-Mobile Xperia Z1s and understand that it can't be rooted due to the locked boot loader.
I was wondering if someone can provide a list of workable apps/themes that are compatible without requiring root.
I have installed both the "close all apps" and "voice balloon photo" app already.
Are there anymore that can be shared?

Unless t mobile do something specific to stop you that I'm unaware of you can root it without unlocking the bootloader it just a complicated process

AFAIK there is no root for the T-Mobile Z1s...unless it is my misunderstanding(?)

[Q] Am I safe to Update My Xperia Z1s?

Xperia Z1s got an OTA update yesterday...And I was wondering if I could update and still re-root..Or if I'd keep the root.. I've done this on other phones before But the Z1s I'm not so sure about..

Don't worry about it, the new 4.4.4 FW is easily rooted using newroot from munjeni. Look in the development section, its a 1 click solution and will install recovery as well.<br/>

So this will work with the Z1s?

I used to run the Tmobile support forums a few years ago. We used to get the same builds from most of the Canadian Operators would get but with different build numbers and they would work (at least for samsung and htc devices). There were some minor differences such as wifi calling but for the most part the devices share the same hardware and software tweeks for US based GSM operators and Canadian ones. I dont have much experience on sony devices though.

The update is 14.4.B.0.37
I haven't installed it yet because Rooting the Z1s was tricky to begin with And I don't wanna do something I'll regret

Create a FTF for the old version, then when you upgrade if there is a problem with root you can flash the FTF and re root on the FW you are on now

I don't think this is real. Someone else would have gotten it over the span of two days since this thread was started. Xperiablog never even reported on it. And he is ignoring everyone's request to at least post a screenshot. I hope in wrong, but this seems a bit improbable.

I'm not lying, or trolling... Why would I ask for help on updating if I was? I came here to ask because I couldn't find any answers.. And in my last post I tried posting a sreenshot of the update in my notifcation bar but it didnt go through.. Sorry Im new to using XDA on my phone

You have to excuse our skepticism... it's just that we've been waiting for KitKat for over half a year, with no sign of it whatsoever, and then you tell us that your phone is being sent the update. I really do want to believe you, more than anything else. Is there any way for you to upload that screenshot?

Ive been waiting too And I feel like it was a glitch I remember the update being around 356mbs I was debating updating because I couldn't make calls.. Came here learned about getting an ftf file if any thing went wrong so i just went ahead and and installed the update but it didn't work so now I dont even know anymore..But i am looking for thr screenshot I took of it

You have to be 100 percent stock for ota to install.
Upload ota to a file provider.
My only question is how only one person would receive the update I have Google it and that ota doesn't exist.
If you need the stock ftf I have it.

Yup thats what I did, download .93 then flash with flashtool.. Make sure you backup your internal sd card, numbers, apps etc first!

Yep just completed the root with .105 , TA backedup and recovery installed
Now to create the FTF for .77 and upgrade

Hi pricey2009, can you tell me how did you get the 93. rom?? Because I'm desperately in need to use giefroot to root my Z3C but so far no luck in finding a correct rom Thank you very much for your help!!

Just use the global ftf ending in .93
You can find this on the forums or search on google
