X8 is not capable of video calling. No facing camera????!!!!!

Please refrain from asking questions based on favorites. It's not fair and kinda mean for you to say one person's work is better than another. What works for you might not work well for others. "Favorites" or "what makes my device cool" is not what xda is about.

WiFi turns on when rebooting

Has anyone noticed that, is that by design? It happens every time I reboot.... I dont see any WiFi settings that would cause that. It's not a huge deal of course, except that Tmo LTE is way faster than my WiFi at home.
The only other bug I've rest noticed on NK4 is I do get an occasional random reboot, just out of the blue.

Have not seen that or heard of it

This may not be it but when I first got the phone I accidentally flung it across the room shifting the blankets in my bed, and after that the screen wouldn't rotate for half a day, but then went back to normal lol

I'm assuming you have WiFi off when you turn your phone off and when you restart it this setting hasn't stuck?

Second, thing to try would be Odin to stock. And start rooting from scratch.

Yeah, I keep wifi off all the time because LTE is so fast and coverage is good all over here. Not sure I am motivated enough to reset/Odin.. Thanks tho. Maybe it will hit me as to why its happening, or could be a quirk after flinging it lol

So I think it may have been the T-Mobile My Account app turning on WiFi on every boot up? I froze the app and it didn't turn on this time..

From what I read android updates broke it, and the developer didn't fix it, so google removed it since current phones could no longer run it. You probably won't want it if it won't work properly.
Also, is there a reason why an app request is posted in the note 9 discussion forums? Shouldn't this be in the general software forum?

Plus I purchased all the add-ons like the widget pad and the additional slots option, I used that app more than any other app continuously over the last 5 years and i constantly use it for multiple reasons. Its sad/frustrating because even though I can side-download it from apkpure.com, I can't get all the additional features I had paid approx. $10 altogether for... So hopefully ? this won't be permanent and just a temp. thang I really love(d) this app, not to mention RECOMMENDED it to many people too... *******Anyone know how to go about obtaining the additional features on the app? That's my dilemma, that was what truly made the app awesome n so convenient!!*******

It's been broken for more than a year now. I highly doubt it'll be updated again.

I like Everywhere Launcher. You can pretty much customize everything about it.

Really misses
I feel like I've lost a loved one. Definitely this was the most functional app I've used in the past five years, and it would probably be my favorite for a long time yet. Hopefully someday go back to playstore.

Download and install magisk and patch boot image normally make sure "force encrypt" and "dm verity" are selected or it will boot loop. TWRP still does not work yet. It's being worked on and discussed here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-play/help/bounty-requesting-root-twrp-version-t3829179

Having Root on the Moto Z3 Play (xt1929-4) on Verizon is F'n awesome. Finally being able to remove all the extra crap and gain some extra memory while giving Verizon the big middle finger makes it even more satisfying.
To the previous post, Magisk works perfectly so far as I have been using it for a month +. No issues what so ever, or at least ones I can blame Magisk for. A couple of normal Moto problems but they were there before Root.

In ANOTHER WAY, can you eradicate ALL the suspect trusted credentials in settings and having done so, gives you time to TWRP it. Then, input the proper DOS coding yo break the BOOTLOADER?
