Rom based on stock - Xperia SP Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, i look for rom based on stock .207. I have LBL. Which rom is the best and why?

Well why don't you unlock bootloader and enjoy wide spread happiness just a suggestion though
Xperia Sp with RR Milestone 5.1.1

I have had lots of ROMs. for locked boot loader I think mateoo cm11 is the best and after that slimkat sounds nice(little personalization) .
also there is pacman but it is too old and get slow if you install many app.
hope it helps![emoji4]

[Q][HELP] Sony Xperia T locked/unlocked

Hey guys, how you doing? First of all, I did searched for my problem but still couln't find a good awnser for my problem. The thing is I just bought an Xperia T factory unlocked but It came with at&t ****... I'm already using it with a different carrier and got no problems with that.
But I'd like to change my ROM and after typing this *#*#7378423#*#*, i get bootloader unlock allowed: NO. Why? As it is factor unloked why can't I fastboot it?
By the way, I'm a completely noob at this and all I know I learned here at XDA.
Hope this is the right thread and I'm not repeting someone's question. If so, I'm sorry
Leo
Because the bootloader and SIM lock are two different things.
If it says no, then you cannot unlock the bootloader

You can only use stock based ROMs, so none that require a custom kernel, like CM, AOKP, PA and others like that

Unlock Bootloder

I have a one simple Question, Does any one know how to unlock the bootloder in sony xperia z (unofficially) officially not possible.
thank you.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2153261
However, note that the method in that thread will not allow you to unlock if the status of your bootloader is "Unlock allowed : No"
Check this by entering *#*#7378423#*#* in the dialler then look in Service Info -> Configuration

You said the official method was not possible, not that your bootloader is permanently locked. There is a difference, as there is an unofficial method of using your unlock token
The security on the bootloader is very very strict and is unlikely to be broken any time soon, if ever. There have been discussions on it by some very knowledgeable people on these forums and they all seem to conclude that there's no way around it.

If it was possible then there would be a thread about it and a link to it would probably be found in one of the stickys as there isn't and you can't then just like the rest of us you will have to wait.

Without an unlocked bootloader you can't use custom kernels which in turn means you can't use such ROMs I'm afraid.

You don't have CM, neither do we.
I think you should look with a dev who has already ported it.

Yes I checked the website from sony (and some other).
Does all of those Tools works on W8 ?
Because I did my best (including asking for bootloader unlock key) and I'm unable to make my fastboot mode recognize on W8 hardware list
If you got a clue, welcome .
Watever happens, thanks Guys and Girls for all the non-profit job you do for most of us.
(btw : I just want to root my Xperia SP to be able to pull away some sony' apz that work underflow and make it 60% ram used without launching anything; this of course, make it slow !!)

You can only use stock based roms, only recoveries for locked BL, and cannot enter fastboot mode...
Use SEUS for repairing or reinstalling stock rom if u ever mess something up during rom installation.

Surely flashing any of the stock based ROMs that the guys have recommended is better than having a phone thats not working as well as it should.. and from my understanding if bootloader un-lock is not allowed then you can not unlock it...

Just don't forget to back up your TA partition first!
You probably don't know what it is, so search for that first, before even attempting to unlock your bootloader.

If you go into service menu (*#*#7378423#*#*)
Configuration...
Rooting status...Bootloader unlock allowed...
If it says NO .. then you are unable to unlock it..
If yes then you`re good to go...but please do plenty of research before you attempt to unlock...could save you a lot of hassle ..
Once again, Good luck!!
