hi
i got a tmobile note 4 with its model changed to F and also csc changed to that if a irish one. It have a custom rom Vision-X N4. I want to go back to stock. i figured out how in kies using tge download mode but have some questions. will the phone model number go back to T? will it be network locked? (currently it works on any sim)?
thanks
michele
Depending on your network unlock method it should retain..
If it was a paid unlock then you should be able to use the unique code if so prompted again after kies..
Keis like odin Stock firmware flash will restore the device to its original state in about device=model# .
You may trip the knox again in this method. But i may stand corrected on this last statement of mine pertaining to knox..

Yeah because you only get one chance to trip Knox. Once it's tripped, absolutely nothing will reset it.

It's beautiful of course.
I was on firekat v11 with ael kernel, both of which were nice & stable
But then I helped get alliance's lollipop build (based on Canadian firmware) tested and released, so I'm still on that for now. I really liked the latest ael kernel but I was getting bad random SODs when the fast charger was connected (using same settings I'd always used) so I had to reflash the stock kernel. So stock kernel, alliance rom. Too lazy to change anything at the moment haha.

No you should not have to unlock again. But he's right about the method. Occasionally that can affect it but more than likely it will not affect your carrier unlock. You will be fine.

Short answer......yes
Long answer............
please do some addition before publicly looking for answers.
1 Stock= factory, unmodified folders
1 Root= added files into system folder, xbin folder and xbin folder, modifying folders
*Root needs the files in those folders
1+1= ????
If you take this the wrong way, sorry but please my post here is too show, that reading up on this is mostly highly advised. Questions like this/these will be eliminated.

Yes, I confirmed that it counts this stock ROM as additional custom firmwares. Now my tab lists 3 custom firmwares so far
Ya, the dose odin keep track of the different firmwares, however when the odin rom is flashed the number is 1.

No, ZV7 is not out yet. But it is in development as indicated by the new RDF.
http://device.sprintpcs.com/LG/LS991-SPRINT/LS991ZV7.rdf
Now I checked a few days ago and this wasn't here. It's also noteworthy that with the H815 getting 6.0 this might be what's coming our way. We saw something similar when ZV8 came out for the G3, it was a different version on the RDF. I'll try and poke the bear, see what I can find out.
In the meantime let the speculation begin!
I wouldn't hold my breath for M --YET-- it's way to soon. Besides inside the rdf file it says 5.1. Probably just additional security updates, and perhaps some additional enhancements like we had with ZV5 & ZV6. I do like your speculation though. ?

With M out already for the global version and it supposedly out in short order afterwards for US... Well, stranger thing have happened.
I just hope the exploits we use to DD the custom ROMs doesn't get patched with 5.1 update, could be a prep for M complete with security fixes. If so I may pass on the update and or M. Just my opinion only time will tell....
OK. G3 is now showing an update ALSO in the works. And what two devices are supposed to get M first for LG?
If that's not M it's a fix that affects them both... Stagefright's already patched so not sure what other big ones are out there.

Man, that's why I roll with Sprint. They ain't on that kind of bullshnat.
I built this ROM as a test for those who have locked bootloaders on the Tab S and can't get root.
In my experience Samsung bootloader locked devices will not allow a custom kernel or recovery to be installed. However it is possible that the bootloader will allow a modified rom to be installed.
The rom is bone stock Lollipop 5.0.2 except it is pre-rooted with SuperSU 2.49. It needs to be installed via ODIN. If ODIN allows it to flash then its highly likely it will boot just fine.
If there are any issues that arise then all that is required is to flash the stock firmware, available here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-T707V/
T707VVRS1BOK1_preroot_system.img.tar
If anyone gives this a shot, please report with details.

If it works for the T707v then I'll do the same for the other Bootloader locked devices. It all depends on whether ODIN will flash it or not.
The reason I have used the T707v is because this device at least has the stock firmware available, so it should be relatively safe to try this.

Exactly, if he'd have only took the time to at least let us know if it installed OK with odin. It seems like it did which means that he should also have had root.
Not sure what he was expecting to see?
So, couple months ago AT&T released an update (in January 2020) which I saw a significantly improved battery life by 25% I was planing to disable my updates for future updates because I really liked it! However, 2 weeks later one day i wake up and my phone forced a new update and the battery life got back to the same even worse that what it used to be before that first update! Now, I am looking to downgrade my update to (N950USQU7DTA3) to be specific. I cant seem to find the file. Is there a source to find it? Also, Its been years since I've done this. Is there a way you guys recommend doing it without causing any issues?
Thanks!

What's ???* you're definitely not the best also please.
Well when Elliwigy and Jrkruse give information you can bet its spot on. And MrMike has been around for quite awhile. Just try to take the advice given and understand none of these guys will lead you down the wrong path. Good luck and hopefully you will find something that works out for you[emoji106]
