Has anyone got V4A working on TW Lollipop yet? There is no way to set SELINUX to permissive. Wonderingif there is a work around.
Thanks.

I was looking for a way also and I kept coming across this. Haven't tried it yet but will soon. Maybe it will work. http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-sprint/help/viper4android-lollipop-t3048713
Here's the link for the download of SELinuxMode Changer. http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=12178 I tried it but did not work. Actually, the permission keeps changing back to Enforcing and not staying to Permissive. I am rooted and have everything set up correctly, not sure what is going on. Might work for you, let me know.

Yeah right now you can only get SELINUX to stick on permissive on a custom kernel.

Crap, so if no custom kernel, cant do that. Wonder if there is any way to fix viper with just being rooted.

Yeah I know the V4A Devs are working on it, but I don't know, when or if they will be able to do it.

[Q] Kingo Android Root possible?

Theres a new one click root solution floating around called Kingo Android Root. The website states it works on all version up to & including 4.3. It also includes a good number of sammy devices in its supported list. Im wondering if it will work for the ATT note 3 which doesnt have a root solution yet. Im willing to guinea pig it when I get my device but was just wondering if anyone happened to try it on a different version?

If the bootloader is locked it isn't going to work until an exploit is found.
Looking into it on other forums its said to be working on several bootloader locked phones specifically the xperia z. I dont see how the bootloader would affect it as its not tryingnto install recovery or anything other then granting superuser access.

This root method works on the S4 with locked boot loader. Of we can't get recovery at least root access for ROM tool box will be nice.

I wonder if you can disable or force stop knox through the app manager and then try to do it. Hopefully mine gets here today so I can mess around with it. I live like 2 blocks away from an AT&T store if something goes wrong haha

Can't Download install Gear Manager

Just updated my ROM, and I can't get the Gear Manger to download or install? Is the Samsung store having issues?

It's been giving me various false warnings about having no signal. Also it never remembers that I'm logged in.

What rom are you using?
I've just updated my Note 2 from Phoenix 15.7 to 16.0
Version 15.7 worked fine, 16 gives me exactly the same problem.

Tried editing my build.prop, and changed my device type from GT-N7100 to SM-N9005 but this had no effect. Didn't bother trying to fiddle any further. Just went back to my latest Nandroid.

Just get the GearManagerStub.apk file from https://www.mediafire.com/folder/id203nhlix285/Android#e7h23e12rzesi and drop it into /system/app - reboot and you should be good again.

How do I revert back to stock MI3 NO ROOT?

Anyone have the files?
Sent from my SM-N900P using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
If you have mj4 I don't believe a downgrade is possible
Though you can downgrade from mi5 no problem.
The stock mi3 file is still up at the Samsung update website. I don't remember the link at the moment.

Yup I knew that was previously the case, and was pretty sure there was no workaround.
I hate when they do cap like that to the bootloader.
I'm going to take that as confirmation, as I knew back when mj4 first came out and I was maintain a Knox safe root thread. There were a few issues of people tripping Knox Even on a complete stock uprooted phone attempting to downgrade to run the Vega files.
Just hadn't looked into it since then wasn't sure someone hadn't worked around it.
Though why you would want to go back to mi3 is another question.

Yup, there are a few stock mj4 options (with or without root)
Check the development section.
I personally usually use Odin to flash the full official Samsung mj4 tar.

Just to go Security>Permission control > disable root permission
If you are using any third party root permission managers like SuperSu
Just uninstalling them would work.

#SRSRoot: samsung SAMSUNG-SM-G900A (Build: KOT49H.G900AUCU1ANCE) #Android 4.4.2 Now Supported for #Root at http://www.SRSRoot.com
Has anyone tested this yet?
Should put this in the AT&T section. But If true that would be great news.

As far as I know srsroot does not work.

Its funny they specifically put the model number and said it was supported. I would bet money that it does not work at all and they are just a shady group that should not be trusted.
I would wait for a video link to see if it works before anyone tries
I don't see the model number listed there. I wonder if someone just got overzealous with adding S5 variant model numbers and corrected it.
*edit* I see it now, I had to do a search. Hmmm... I don't know how this snuck under the radar if legit.

Loki is an instance of being able to use a custom recovery w/o unlocked BL. Coming from an i337, you begin to assume boot loader unlock isn't likely.

did SRSRoot install the SuperSU if so check your settings "Application Manager" in settings, if SuperSU is installed as a user app it will be listed in the "Downloaded" section if it is installed as a system app it will be in the"All" section.
or run a file explorer like esfile explorer that will allow you to view the /system/app folder (you cant write to it but you can still read from it) check and see if Supuser.apk exists in /system/app, if it does that means that at some point the srsroot app is gaining R/W access to system.

Will 4K and 120fps work for the Flex as for the G2?

I found this guide for the G2, but it will only work on the kitkat version of android.
Could anyone try it with the flex? (i know some of you got it already)

That's a very risky mod, with no way to know if it will work either. It could easily wreck a device messing with the framework apk and not having a recovery (the recovery we do have does not work on kk yet) To fall back on if it fails.
