Did someone noticed this
I updated few apps one day and next day I got message from play store to update them again, and the version of apps are exactly the same on my phone and in play store.
Is this another bug?
This happens quite often.

No, not a bug at all. This is normal behavior with some apps. When an application developer updates the app, they might make small changes after the initial release. These small changes might not warrant a version number change. It happens with Twitter all the time. Nothing to worry about.
Ok thanks for explanation. I thought something is going wrong with my lollipop.

I think this might be what you are lookig for:http://developer.android.com/reference/android/app/AlarmManager.html
SPECULATION on my part but from what I read looks like that is what it is.
I've checked my services periodically to see if this would ever popup for me, but it never did. :/
I'd say try uninstalling the updated market and wiping the cache/data for it via the applications menu under settings - same menu you went to to take that snap shot.
Well what's the disadvantage? Do you actually notice slowdown, battery draining, etc due to it? If not, why bother about it?

Forget it exists and do not worry about it.
Has anyone done this on their Xoom?
Any obvious changes for better or worse?
What version is the update? I have 5.1.1 but IDK whether that's an update or not.
EDIT: Nevermind. I just saw the update. Google Market needs to work on the notification system.... Gonna try it now.
UPDATE: No problems so far. I love Google Maps BTW - One of the reasons to get the Xoom
it adds dynamic traffic rerouting. but yeah, for some reason google apps don't show up under my apps thats why we aren't getting notified on them; you can search the app and it will give you the option to update.
This should be interesting. I'm in NYC several times a week and notice that the traffic on GM is generally wrong especially in Manhattan. Even using it on the approaches into NYC from NJ, I find Inrix and MSN to be much more accurate.
The Latitude launcher button moved from next to the menu button to the left side of the screen, all by itself. Took me a sec to find it, but I'm glad I did cause I almost just complained that they removed the button altogether

should be 5.2.1. update works great
I've many others with the same issue. However there is no clear fix, other than don't update.
The latest Google play services 7.5.62-66 is a force closing nightmare.
I've completely wiped. I mean converted back to ext4 from f2fs. Installed cm12.1 fresh gapps from 5/19 and still force closes.
I've wiped all data/ cache from the apk, including Google settings apk data/cache. This stops it for a while. It always comes back with a torrent of FC's .
Its happened 8 times while typing this post.
I'm at a loss.

Make sure you have the one with the correct resolution installed, link Play Services apk`s http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-services/.
It's happening to a LOT of people. Oddly, it seems pretty random. Many are not affected. And since Google Play Services auto-updates in the background, those of us that are affected will eventually get hit again even if we downgrade. The clear app data/cache is the only "fix" I've seen thus far.
Interestingly, it seems to only happen for me on AOSP ROMs. I've had a stock image running for days without issues. I'll probably stay on stock till Google fixes it or someone finds a more promising workaround. It's annoying, but less annoying than constant FCs.

Sucks. I about to move to stock rom. I've tried so many things to fix it and it always comes back. Some hinted it could be a gapps problem, idk.
Gonna miss all my themes and customization.
Happening to me too on Euphoria with PA mini gapps and Temasek CM12.1 with banks gapps.

It seems to work for me. I'm using MultiROM, and I've been having FCs on every ROM I've tried, as well as various issues with the "Ok Google" voice command. If it pops up again I'll be sticking to the stock partition for awhile.

Any ETA on fix ? Is it Google fault or CM ?
Yesterday everything worked OK. A few minutes ago everything went to hell.

Just kidding.
Bloody hell, recently Google/CM drive me mad - every update brings new problems! Common guys, are you a bunch of amateurs? Cant get it right for a few months now?

Probably is, but it's also kind of important issue.
It's not a "not working icon bug" it's a bug that's preventing you from using your phone. Kind of important, don't you agree ?

Workaround
I come up with a workaround for Google FC - using Tasker (with Secure Settings plugin) do the following on Shutdown and Boot:
1. Kill Google Play services
2. Clear Data for Google Play services
3. Clear Cache for Google Play services
So far haven't got Google FC, will see how it goes :crying:
Hi,
Last year I've installed CM with the Installer (http://beta.download.cyanogenmod.org/install) on my HTC One M7. It works like a charm but since then I haven't received any updates. After some searching I've found why: the CM version installed by the installer doesn't follow the default CM channels. Only stable releases done by CM itself can be installed with the updater. I'm currently running this build: cm_m7_userdebug 4.4.4 KTU84Q InstallerXNPQ32P release-keys from Aug 6 2014
But, my battery drains because of the Google Play Services "bug", see: https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-6438. It's fixed but since I've not received any updates I've got still trouble with this. So I've followed this tutorial to fix it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/fix-fix-systemupdateservice-wakelock-t3060548. It worked for some days but then I was getting every x minutes a error that "Google Play Services stopped working". So I've searched around and did this: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...s-stopped-working.302508/page-2#post-11373191. It worked for some days but now the error is back AND my battery drains again.
My next thought was, installing the latest build from the default CM channels, so I went here: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=m7 but I only see CM 12.1, not CM 11. Since I don't want to do a factory reset, backup everything and move over to Lollipop (just wanted to flash CM11 from the default channels over my current ROM to keep all settings, data and apps) I came here for some help.
What do you guys recommend? I've advised a lot of people to install CM through the installer to get rid of Sence and all HTC it's default apps to get easily a clean and faster smartphone. Even my girlfriend is running CM11 on her Samsung Galaxy S4 with the same problems. Backup all the phones and flash the latest roms takes some time... I've found two other possible solutions:
- http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...mod-google-play-services-update-wake-t3078082 (but that's for Google Play Services version 7.3.29 (030), I'm running 7.5.74 (1997312-038))
- http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/script-google-play-services-battery-t3059585 (the first solutions sounds nice, but what will happen if Google updates the app?)
I hope someone can help me out.
Thanks in advance,
Roy

I would recommend to try CM12 or to stay away from Cyanogenmod if you don't have the time to play with your phone (backing up / restoring / re-flashing). Cyanogenmod roms are great but rarely bug-free / stable.
Btw another good alternative if you want to get rid of HTC Sense roms is to use GPE rom which is also made by HTC and will ensure better stability and less bugs over other aosp roms like CM.
Thanks for your response! I've the time but as I told I've recommended a lot of people who don't have much knowledge about flashing roms to install CM with the CM Installer. So I'm searching for the easiest way to stop the wakelock.

It work's like a charm but now "Google Services" uses a lot of battery. I don't remember if I disabled "com.google.android.gms/.gcm.nts.SchedulerInternalReceiver" too, so I did that today. Let's see what it does.
How can I see what specific process is taking so much battery? I see the app but I don't see what process/service it is...

You might be running into a fundamental CM11 issue with the Google Services battery use. For tracking the battery usage, I like BetterBatteryStats the best, in the section "Partial Wakelocks". It does a good job of showing what's keeping the phone awake.

OK for me
We already talked about this update for a week now.
You induce people in error thinking there is another update, not this one.
There is a new update out. No fix for notifications in dark mode.
Could have guessed it because it wasn't mentioned, but even this trial is stuck on December security update. Vivo seemingly just cannot do software. Hope it's more stable than the last version. On the last one I had 1-3 partial app crashes a day on camera or Gmail or chrome (making restart of app necessary).
None of the real problems like autofocus, notifications or battery life usm

OMG... When I opended the software update screen no new update was presented, but when I opened the trial/beta screen, I got the option to update... ^_^...
Not missing much, this update runs very unstable for me and worst battery drain on mobile data yet.
E.g. keyboard lost while typing a reply here and need to close chrome and reopen to be able to type again frequently.
Instead of fixing anything vivo is just making things worse....have you made sure you're not talking to a chatbot at vivo support?

For the 18.3 I must have opened the trial/beta part at least 20 times.. but never saw the update...
And even better, my 'unknown number' issue when having a VOLTE/VOWIFI connection is solved ^_ ^
I cannot install any apk anymore on this trial version. Play store is outdated and I cannot update it! Same for gcams...
After clicking on "Continue Installation" it just crashes.
I downloaded a random APK from apk mirror, opened it with the 'File managment' app and was able to install the APK just fine... Also updating installed apps via play store works fine for me...

Ah ok. I put him on the ignore list and don't see any message from him anymore. So your comment was confusing me
Edit: when it doesn't work for him it's clearly an user error. I wish for all the people here he sells the phone and let us be in peace.
Well I don't know why it doesn't work. Just nothing happens after clicking on "Continue Installatin" - Updating apps via play store works fine (but play store cannot update itself - if you want to update play store you need to manually downlaod a new apk). I don't know when it last worked - maybe a week ago.
Edit:
well I can still install/update everything via ADB install - guess I removed some system permissions too much when making sure this phone doesn't send home too much data.
