I was trying to root my friends moto g 2014, and I unlocked the bootloader, but I'm not sure whether it is the 1068 or the 1068 (titan_retde). This a picture of the model number:

Yes. The forums will be full of it when it becomes rootable. Search is your friend!
So I've had the moto G (2014) for a month now and for some reason I can't detect the latest build version or the lollipop update. My sister has a slightly newer build but she didn't get lollipop either.
Thanks in advance peeps!

Which model do you have? I don't think XT1068 has gotten the Lollipop OTA yet. If you're on XT1064, you can side-load the OTA via ADB.

I just snooped the forums for a quick bit. Sadly Lollipop has not come to the XT1063 yet.
Just in case; I don't recommend you sideload the XT1064 OTA. There have been people complaining in the XT1064 OTA post that functionality was lost since they have a different model.
However, according to this post; Lollipop works. If you decide to use this method, be aware you are flashing a XT1064 OTA on a XT1063 phone. "I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO FLASH STOCK LOLLIPOP ROM OF DIFFERENT MOTO G VARIANT. " -AD9295
I suggest you just wait it out; as painful as it may be.

Oh i wasnt planning to flash it anyway, I am too much of a phone noob that i fear i might brick the phone, I was just worried that it might be my device's fault.
I can't get mine to find the update either. XT1064, locked bootloader, completely stock on 21.11.17 in the U.S. Phone just says software is up to date.

Is it a retail, simlock free, device? Or did you buy it with a provider contract? In the last case you'll have to wait for your provider...

Completely unlocked and bought off of Amazon, I'm actually using it outside of the US at the moment.

Looked it up in the Amazon store: they're selling 2 variants: the US version and the international version. The US version should have the update by now. The International version has to wait.
What version do you have?
XT1063 Global GSM Single SIM
XT1064 US/Canada GSM Single SIM
XT1068 Global GSM Dual-SIM
XT1069 GSM+GSM+DTV Dual-SIM, Brazil model supporting DTV
As far as I know only the XT1064 has the official Lollipop update by now!
If you bought the "global" version, you probably have the XT1063...
Mine (I'm from Europe) is the XT1068. So i'll have to wait too...

5.0.2...not on US Cellular, so I'm not going to mess with this. But can you tell if the camera2 api has been implemented? Because that would be fantastic.
when did 5.0.2 been released? we r still waiting for it on the pure edition XT1095
Been running the Chinese 5.0.2 stock ROM for a couple days. No real problems. I flashed PA Gapps to get Google services back, but no problems overall. Very curious to give this a try too... Anyone know if it'd be the same process (simply flash boot and system)?
Chinese ROM found here:

Are the Camer2 APIs there? If you fire up FV-5 does it allow you to save in raw format?
I have an Unlocked Moto Maxx from Puerto Rico. I've seen that the Brazilian variant of the phone has been updated to 5.0.2 already. I was wondering if anyone had any info./news on the Lolipop update for the PR version.
Thanks in advance.

When it's out, you'll know.
I have a feeling we pr folks are out of luck since our provider is Claropr and we are no longer in good standing with Motorola and have stopped negotiations with them.

Actually i just did it thanks to the great directions from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58801128&postcount=1
And here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/general/guideinstall-lollipop-ota-root-ur-moto-t3029690
Thanks for responding though haha.
I highly recommend that anyone who has a PR or Mexican Moto Maxxs to switch to the BR build as they seem to be getting the most updates(also this process DOESN'T wipe your data!).
Thanks again!

EDIT : Hum it was maybe a fake... But anyway many other moto phone got android 5.1 recently so we can suppose it will get it soon
