I have tried Xposed on lollipop but it is not compatible as you know, but let's hope soon the updated version of Xposed supports Lollipop in all ways as Xposed is quite essential to me.....

Check out xda thread...now its working...i m on karbonn sparkle v and using most of xposed modules without any problem, including gravity box lollipop latest version. Yaa few are having bootloops problems.. But make nandroid backup before install

i was wondering if it would be possible to theme like the dialer and system like the nexus 5? of course i know i would need root access to do so.
With root you can use xposed installer and the wanum xposed module I believe. I did it on my note 3 but my wife took it from me and won't give it back

I HAVEN'T ACTUALLY DONE THIS SO IT MIGHT NOT WORK. I'M ONLY TRYING TO HELP BUT TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH RECOVERIES AND FTF FILES AND CAN GET YOURSELF OUT OF A SOFT BRICK.
First you have to downgrade to a version that can be rooted such as .254 and root it. Once rooted, you install a recovery for locked bootloader. Then you convert the .201 FTF into a zip and flash it in the recovery, then flash SuperSU. At this point you lost the recovery so you must flash SuperSU before rebooting. Flashing SuperSU you should be rooted. Install the recovery again if you want, too.
You could also install a pre rooted rom

Or you can update to 205 and use TowelRoot
At the moment none because I am pretty happy with Towelroot..
Easiest way to root is to use towelroot apk.Get it from www.Towelroot.com

so we need to unlock bootloader first ?
then we'll lose BRAVIA engine and i really don't want to lose that

Here's a pre-rooted stock Lollipop for locked bootloaders. (I didnt test in unlocked)
This have been made for D6503 Z2 from lasted LP Firmware from Hong Kong but may works on other variations
I put Z2-lockeddualrecovery2.8.9 worked in 690 LP Firmware
Install Instructions
1) Reboot in recovery and flash the zip
2) Flash The Zip: D6503_23.1.A.0.726_Flasheable_ROOTED.zip
3) Reeboot
If device stock in Sony logo u can use this tutorial, start in step 11

I think what rom can be boot on LB, it should/must be boot on UB. And can anyone look into the system/etc does it have 4 files be_album?

One of the reasons i wanted to root, was cause i wanted to use the LAYER MANAGER
to apply themes.
Didn't work.
