i modified update_cyanogenmod 4.2.5 to make it more dark.
I take no credits for this, i only put together parts of other roms or themes.

Would be great if you could include lockscren similar to this
and Advanced Launcher.
It would be perfect with those ^^

I modified only colors and some little things, because i want leave it fast like original, but if many people want it in next days i can try to add advanced launcher and different lockscreen (i don't know if i'm able to do this)

This is great! i like everything except for the H icon, any way i can change that back to the 3G icon?

I'd also suggest keeping this theme lean & simple. aLauncher and different lockscreens should be available as optional modules.
As it is, this theme really rocks right now.

Looks good, using daily.
Liking this as much as the community hero mix theme that hasnt been updated, love the simple black app tray icon.
Should skin the music/picture frame widget. Awesome none the less.

I really like the speed of Cyanogens mod and you haven't changed that. Colors are sweet.

I also love the speed of this. Just a few things, would love to have 3g back instead of that weird H. Also if you could skin the music player and maybe change the alarm clock icon in the status bar, not that big of a deal though. Thanks.

Looks like what started as something small that you created to tide you over til the community hero mix update has turned into a liked theme by the XDA members . Now you have to keep progressing with it .

the google apps werent modified right? cause those are a pain to restore lol. i love your idea! i always thought android was way to bright on the homescreen aspect(and then too dark on the menus lol) i will flash soon
and btw, will this mess with google maps?
and right now i have only a black notification bar mod, do i need to flash the original cm, then this, or can i just flash this?

Recommended Settings:
Under Settings/Screen ---> Change font to HYSerif. If you have difficulties to read the texts, increase the font size to "Large".
Under Power Saving Options ---> I recommend to enable show the remaining battery percentage (the one that shows the number aside the icon) and disable the battery level label on top of the icon. However, you can now choose the second option too since I modified the color to be black (over white icon).

Notes:
- If you cant see the status bar (its full black without icons).
Plug your phone to the pc and the statusbar will appear.
- If you want to change the background.
1.- Download my flashable zip.
2.- Open it and extract "lge-res.apk" from "framework" folder.
3.- Open "lge-res.apk" with winrar and extract "mybackground.png" located at "/lge-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/".
4.- Modify the png file the way you want (maintain the 480x800 size).
5.- Put the modified png (must be named "mybackground.png") inside "lge-res.apk" (drag and drop to "/lge-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/", where it was)
6.- Put "lge-res.apk" inside the flashable zip (drag and drop to "framework" folder, back where it was).
7.- Flash the theme

The theme is great! But I've found a little bug. When I enter the PIN number, but "*" are white, can you make the background black?
Suggestions:
In the wifi menu (just for an example), the buttons in the bottom (to search wifi) are hard to read;
Colorful icons;
When selecting a menu, the selection bar before entering the menu is to bright;
The little arrows in the network bar (when mobile data is active), they are hard to read, it should be another color

By the way, I know the theme is "black&white", but it would be nice to have one with some color, some life. Just like samsung galaxy, or something... Now I think it is to0 plain...

Yeh I noticed that too =)
Will try to fix it asap. And now that I have to look into the browser, I may theme it too. =)
Edit: by the way, I already fixed the signal arrows on top of wifi/signal icons. Now its holo blue with black shadow.
And also fixed the color of the borderless bottom buttons in some setting screens (like WiFi and Sync) to a darker color. Now the text is completly readable.
Edit2: now you can also select the battery percentage to be on top of the icon. I changed the percentage to be black instead of white so its readable.
Edit3: fixed black on black text on LGBrowser URL box.

New version up.
Solved most of the bugs above mentioned.
Redesigned contact default pictures.

1 - The background should be more subtle. In the definitions, with the letters, some parts are a little hard to read...
2 - The active options (that have a "V"), the background is black and the "V" is blue, like the default. But in comparison to the options that aren't active, with the white background, it stands out more the non active option than the active options. I think the background should be switched.
3 - In the notifications bar, when in notifications, the background in the left square (that have the icon), are too bright, the background should be more black, if not really black.
4 - When selection of a menu, right before entering the menu, the color of the selection is a little too bright.
5 - Colorful icons
A last suggestion, at least for me, it would be nice to have a theme Black&Blue. It gave more life to the phone.
Overall, that is a great work!

Ill make colorful themes in a future. But I just want to make this to my taste, since Im not one of those persons who like colorful UI's. Once I get this theme done, I'll start the colors.
A last suggestion, at least for me, it would be nice to have a theme Black&Blue. It gave more life to the phone.

Im sorry but I'm making this theme to my own taste.
You'll have to wait for other themes to see if they fit your taste better =)
Edit: aaand the text box on pin lock screen... its not much of an issue. I mean, Ill eventually fix it, but its just 4 "*"characters what you miss.

Great! Can't wait for more...

I fixed the PIN lock screen issue. It was pretty easy to find the value which stands for the text color.
But, before I upload the last version with the fixes. I also wanted to change the settings header (top grey bar with the settings default icon and "Settings" text) but wtf I keep looking for it and I dont seem to find it. Now Im lost, not sure if its gonna be an xml hex color code, or a small png somewhere under the drawables.
If someone has any idea about where could it be, I'd appretiate the help =)

As far as removing carrier name is concerned it is not possible to remove it up till now.

I have made a new theme called RedBlack. I have tried to customize many things. Hope you guys like it.
Features
1. Coloured icons in settings.
2. Removed coloured background of apps.
3. Coloured arrows showing in out going of data.
4. Battery icon will change its colour from green to yellow,orange and red.
5. Red and Black combination used ( my favourite colours ).
6. Amazing glow red colour in notification panel.
7. Very beautiful icons.
8. Changed nav bar icons.
9. Coloured icons in settings.
10. Beautiful weather widget.
Installation
1. Download the file and put "NeoRedBlack.hwt" in HwThemes folder.
2. Select RedBlack in theme app and then apply with fonts and restart to change navigation bar icons.
3. Please reapply the wallpaper by long pressing the screen. (Because wallpaper looks horrible when zoomed and for some reason it always zooms the wallpaper when applying even though resolution of wallpaper is perfectly 1080x1920)
You guys can see that wallpaper looks very nice if you reapply it.

I hate this font, why don't you try with another font? My suggestion is "Asap"

Some people had requested me to change the lockscreen that's why I had changed it.
Also now I can't update this theme in near future because I have entered the unkind regions of examinations. After exams I have to prepare for entrance test of Medical College. So...I will barely have extra time for the next four months.

I don't think so because I started making thems on emui 3.0 and I don't know what is different in emui 2.3 themes.

But dialer doesn't work in my phone it stills white in the special version and the 1.1version,
I prefer the clock in lock screen from the 1.1 version but it doesn't work in my phone ..
The battery logo rocks !!!!!!

All icon not changed..some of icon as it is after installation of it.....so please clear this problem...and give some additional font....

But on mate7 dialer colour is changed. Strange :/

Great job, it is the best theme I have tested.

These themes have problem with screen saving feature, like dark bloom theme. I'm sure guys with the white dialpad had it activated.

I like colours in setup, black & red combination in notifications and specially this wonderful coloured battery icon !!!:good:
Tried special version, but removed it. I didn't like the new battery icon...
Just missing something... I liked the original EMUI lock screen. With diferent wonderful pictures every time. But now I can only select one image... and if I click in setup option inside lock screen, the only subscription I can find is in chinese, and nothing happens if I click on it.... Is it posible to return to original EMUI lock screen? (of course, without changing this great theme!)
