My friends,
I have a Lumia 930 prototype that I receive as a gift. This was working great but when I enroll this device on preview for developers, restarted and didn't boot at the OS. When I turn it on appears the NOKIA logo and then show me the "ERROR: Unable to find a bootable option. Press Any Key to shut down."
Trying differents methods to flash it, always give me an error about the ffu is not signed for my device. So I guess that if I can by pass the ffu check id, is going to work.
When I turn on my Lumia and press vol+, vol-, camera & power button show me this "BSD Menus" with 12 options :
I've tryed to press the buttons to disable the secure boot, but doesn't work or I'm doing it wrong.
When I connect my Lumia to my PC while pressing volume -, camera & power button my pc recognize it as an external volume called "MainOs". If I go to disk managements I can see the disk of 29,12GB of my Lumia with 13 partitions!! 10 of theses witout names and with differents sizes, and the others 3 with the names "EFIESP" in formar fat and 32 mb. Another called "MMOS" with 4mb of size and the last one called "MainOs" wiht 2,30GB of size.
I think that this Lumia have a lot more options that my Lumia 1520, so would be possible to recover it, including do a lot of more things in development area. Anybody of you have any idea of how to flash any rom on my device? I've tried with a lot of rom versions and always receive the same FFU check ID problem. Regards
thanks to @Nokser and @ngame for their help. @ngame told me that @GoodDayToDie could help me and I hope so.
at the bottom of screen it shows a line for help
It's hard to read could you please type what it writes in the front of sel : camera/....
@GoodDayToDie @djamol @ultrashot
maybe we can access these menus beyond this picture ?!!!!

I think if you can run in Mass Storage Mode you can do some interesting works on your phone .
Maybe possible to recover it without flashing but let what others think about it .
What says is "keymap=> up: Vol+, Down: Vol-, Sel: Camera/menu/pwr Exit: Esc"
Before I could put this on that mode but still couldn't flash it and receive the same error :/

Menu ? what's that damn key ?
ok . If you connect your phone to pc and open up Nokia Care suite in Product Support Tool can it detect your device ?
from Tools menu -> firmware download also you may possible to read Product code of your device maybe you can flash it , but not sure .
maybe boot usb first can help . but the problem is what type of bootable usb can it read !
engineering phone are very nice but solving their problems are really hard for end users and ALSO developers . we know little about them .
If I connect my phone to pc on Nokia Care Suite start to flag the rom, but fail and show me a message "the ffu file isn't correctly signed or isn't signed for your device" or something like that. So I want to edit the FFU or disable the secure boot of my device

do not try to flash it . only go to tools -> firmware download .
It will show you product code of your device .
disabling secure boot is not possible from ffu as I know . but maybe you can disable it over BDS menu but I think it bypass Microsoft sign checks not Nokia ! Nokia check ffu sign Microsoft checks important binary files .
so they are different I think and disabling one may not mean both of them are disabled
Yes, I've tried to do that, but always tell me that there isn't firmware available for my device
Any idea??:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
Well, as I didn't have answers, I want to Lnow if is possible to sell my phone?

I'm sure one of us would like to take it off your hands and have a go at it... depends on the price i guess. I suggest you use Swappa for commercial activity though....

I don't know how Swappa works. I still have faith on that i'm going to can flash it :/

Do you have an .FFU downloaded? you could try to flash it to an USB stick with the method for Windows 10 IoT, connect it using an OTG cable and select Boot from USB
It should work, as UEFI should be able to find \EFI\Boot\bootarm.efi on it

I don't know how to do that. I mean...how to put FFU on an USB Stick?
Thanks my friend. I'm going to try it and tell you. Best regards

You should be able to apply it to an USB stick using dism. Just check the tutorials for Windows 10 IoT on Raspberry Pi 2, they use this method

The thor2.exe, shipped with Windows Device Recovery Tool, includes several options for FFU flashing. Maybe you can try:
Code:
./thor2 -mode uefiflash -ffufile <path to Lumia 930's FFU file> -skip_id_check -skip_signature_check -skip_rkh_check
Since it's a engineering model, it's possible to do with these three params. But if you want to flash a retail FFU you will likely lose the additional ability.
BTW I am interested in this engineering sample.
Product code
Hi, does the phone show any Product code (for example on internal pull-out piece)? Maybe flashing another variant (for another product code) would work. I would also like to know the product code to download and test that ROM.

Yeah, that would be good but still we can't access or download any non-public ROM.
Here is one code of Lumia 630.

Hey All,
So today I've tried rooting the .253 by downgrading my firmware back to .434 but for some reason it just doesn't work I've inserted the log from the terminal and the log from Flash Tool (Latest Release), I'm running Linux Mint 14 xfce (Running Flash Tool as root of course) I took a risk by unplugging the device after 25 minutes and luckily it still works no brick so I'm happy but I'm a little stuck on how to actually get it to work because I had the same problem with it not downgrading on windows which I was stuck on because thats how I flashed the .253 firmware :S

I think my phone is bricked, i think this is a soft brick but i am not entirely sure.
I have gone through some threads on this and various google searches but I am stuck
the phone is an xperia z1, rooted, super su, buisy box installed and TWRP
all has happened when I tryed to flash with TWRP the new relaese 14.6.A.1.236 (C6903_14.6.A.1.236_XZDRKernel2.8.21-RELEASE.flashable) which I dowloaded from NUT
Of course I did something wrong, maybe the bootloader wasn't unlocked, but I am not sure.
I then downloaded the flashtool and up to yesterday I could enter both fastboot mode (pwr+vol up = blu led) and flash mode
in flash mode I tryed to install 14.6.A.1.236 (downloaded directly within flashtool) but couldn't complete the operation as i got the following errors
INFO - Please connect your device into flashmode.

09/023/2015 11:23:28 - ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted
Today I can't no longer access fastboot mode as the only thing I get is a blinking red light, no vibration, if I press pwr button
or if I press pwr+vol up I get 1 blinking red + 1 vibration, however according to flashtool i could access it in flash mode
Anyway at this point I am lost and don't know what to do, if anything can be done.
I hope someone can still help me

Click to collapse
Try to access flashmode by pressing vol. Down ? after connect USB
If flash tool return you
Device connected in flash mode... It's soft brick and then you need ftf...
If unkown device then u bricked your device and need to try recover it using testing point
Note: I haven't tested recovering of hard brick so do at ur own risk
Hit thanks if that helped u
The flashing red light means your battery is empty. That is why you cannot access fastboot anymore. Plug it in a charger for a few hours and try again after you've done that. If it still doesn't work I will see what I can do for you.
Please help, cant flash z1 compact

Hello Everybody
My Phone: C5303 - YT91094GAN - 1272-7170_R3B - 1269-3538_12.1.A.1.205 - ORANGE-LTE_12.1.A.1.205
What Happend? About a year ago I wanted to get my whatsapp chat history from my phone so I had to root it. I used KingoRoot program in my phone to root, get files I needed but after I unrooted my phone with that program it does not work.
Actual situation
If I turn my phone up this shows

I can than turn it off by the OFF button on the back and I also can access some flashmode( I don't know exactly how is it called) With pressing vol down and power(green LED) also I can press vol UP and power to see blue led).
After 13 hours the repair logo is still on the screen.
So I tried some flashtool and here are the results:

Any suggestions, any ideas what can I do? thank you
It's always like the flashmode turns off after approx 5sec. I also tried to unlock bootloader but it got stucked also. (used android SDK for it) If someone have an idea I will try anything.
First: You can't unlock your bootloader. So, you can stop trying to do that.
Second: Have you installed the drivers? Specifically the adb, fastboot and the Xperia SP ones?
Good luck!
Hi, I have installed all drivers flashtool offered me and I tried 0.9.18.6 and also 0.9.22.3
Which firmware are your trying to flash? It is the specific one for your phone? Another one? You can use 0.9.18.6 to download the firmware that has those exact numbers.
Bundle I tried to flash: 1269-3538_12.1.A.1.205. Customization : GLOBAL-LTE_12.1.A.1.205
current device: C5303 - YT91094GAN - 1272-7170_R3B - 1269-3538_12.1.A.1.205 - ORANGE-LTE_12.1.A.1.205
I have read every post about this problem on this forum, havent found solution. I guess the problem might be Wrong ftf but I couldnt find the ORANGE-LTE nowhere.
Thank you so much for your help but I guess I will just throw the phone away, haven't used it for long time and I just wanted to try to make it work

I found the firmware instantly on Xperiafirm. You could try once again. Also, I can't find that firmware you used.
Used the firmware you gave me, I get the same answer, I try charging phone during the night and than try again, thank you for your help.

Maybe the firmware it's corrupt, so try downloading it again, and make sure to pick the one for your phone.
Hi guys ,i really need your help
I wanted to install Lineage OS.
In the process I was asked to first try to have boot loader unlocked ,which i unsuccessfully tried .
Then while searching for a FIX i was led to a app stating that i need to first root the phone and then the app would unlock my boot loader by a simple app Kingsroot
.But in the process it seems i ****ed up something and now my phone is on Continuous boot loop.
I just see the Sony Logo then a black screen and then the phone restarts .
I read through the forums then read the possible solution to Flash my phone with stock firmware .
I downloaded the firmware C5302_12.1.A.1.201_Generic.ftf
C5302_12.1.A.1.201_India.ftf
C5302_12.1.A.1.205_India.ftf
And downloaded Flashtools 0.9.25.0
I have tried a lot of times but i get the same error

I have also faced a similar issue in the past with my Xperia SP(C5302) , you can try executing the following steps:
1. Download TWRP recovery image for your Xperia SP and save it as twrp.img
2. Download platform-tools folder from "https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools" and extract it on the drive where your WindowsOS is installed.
3. Go to platform-tools folder and open a cmd window
4. Put your phone in fastboot mode (Hold Vol. UP and Power button), most probably your led lights would go blue.
5. Now type in cmd "fastboot devices" (exclude quotation marks) , you should see the serial no of your device .
6. Now place the twrp.img in platform-tools folder
7. then type "fastboot flash boot twrp.img" in your cmd window
8. Restart your device and should boot directly into TWRP.
9. Then you can wipe Dalvik cache/System and flash a new ROM and then restart.
VOILA! You just saved your device!
