what's wrong with all the roms? Hardly one works, the instructions are wrong or don't work. Unlocking the SIM doesn't even work with this one

You must install the modem from S5360 via Odin before using ANY 4.4.4 ROM

Thanks for all your Infos, but i installed the Modem and nevertheless it isn`t work right

do you have a working link for the rom, CMX11 NitroX Edition-Bugless CM11 for S5830i ? Or are all CM11/kitkat 4.4.4 roms the same. what would be your recommendation for the S5830i with a working google account?

With a working Google account, I'll recommend a new smartphone
But seriously, I will give instructions on how to sign in to your Google account on Android 2.3.x(since this version is the most stable for cooperve)
It worked for me, but stopped working after the imposition of sanctions on Russia
Also need to have the original Google services on your ROM.
1.Download the file from the attachment
2.Put it anywhere on /sdcard/
3.Run it and agree to replace it.
4.Try to sign in to google account through settings, then credentials and synchronization (name may be different) and choose to add google account

thanks, i`ll try it

What kind of recovery do you use? What instructions are you following? What did you do before trying to install?
So many questions and so few answers...

KERNEL
The kernel is almost stock KOT49H. I (David) just added kexec hardboot support so this ROM supports MultiROM out of the box (credits @Tasssadar), some fixes to make it work with GCC 4.8 and some optimisation flags I got from @Gnome.
Source: AOSPAL/android_kernel_google_msm
Any android 4.4 compatible kernel should be compatible with this ROM.

Bug Reporting:
File bug reports here: https://sites.google.com/site/aospalrom/bug-report
Provide a logcat!! This is very important. If we are not able to reproduce the error, a logcat provides very useful information about the error source. How To Logcat
Is the bug reproducable? If yes, how?
Provide a detailed description of your problem! Just writing xyz doesn't work is sometimes not enough. What exactly doesn't work? Does it force close? Does it just not work as suspected?
Different people are using their phones differently so it's very likely, that there are bugs we haven't noticed yet. If you don't have permission to post in the dev section, feel free to write me a PM or contact me or team AOSPAL on G+.

Status bar quick peek is working for me. But I changed some things to reduce "false positives" you have to do a short swipe from 1x statusbar height to 3x statusbar height on the y axis and up to 1x status bar height on the x axis. For me, these values are working great but if you get problems with them, I'll change them so that it is easier to have a quick peek at the status bar.
Nice! I like the cherrypicks u added, very useful! Can u fix the link to download in OP? I have to try several times as it took me to a strange download zip( blur version....300mb) before it works. Thanks for your work!
Enviado desde mi Nexus 4 usando Tapatalk 4
The link is correct. It should lead you to a folder on devhost where I'll upload the builds. The direct link to the newest build is d-h.st/hO1 there you can download the newest zip.
Btw. volume key cursor control is implemented now, but I won't be able to upload it until tomorrow.
Edit: added direct link to op.
Just istalled... pie state dial. 0.25x and 0.75x animation scale do not exist. I see only 0.5x.

I found out why 0.25 and 0.75 animation scale is not shown. I gonna fix this tomorrow (hopefully).
What do you mean by "pie state dial" ??
Nice work man, I use Mr cools build on my flo. Just as clean as pa build but with the subtle cherry picks.

feature request:
notification bar brightness control (without pulling it down) :fingers-crossed:
demo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBtf_QSDMjE
i switched to PA recently and i missed that feature a lot!
Nice custom build man
Looking forward for future additions
I'm just waiting for the animation scale to get fixed. After that, I'll try this ROM as I find stock animation to be rather too relaxed or well.. slowish compared to other UIs like Touch Wiz.

Read carefully the entire first post and you'll solve this mistery
What about adding "swipe right for floating mode" in notifications??

Not in my plans at all, but thanks for the suggestion
I read well but do not understand that I need to do to turn heads up.
I have tested every Rom on XDA and only this will not work. I installed Xposed + Modules heads up and did not work either.
Hover works well.

Buddy, you need to go into Settings -> Apps and choose which apps you want to show heads up. You'll see a "Enable heads up notification" checkbox.
Easy as that!
And not simple! on other Rom just turn heads up. first I did not notice. THX
Great Rom and just missing Animations System.
When you activate Lock Screen Notification feels weird noise in Headphones.
I turned off and on a few times and the problem disappeared.

Well you can use other boot animations available on XDA. @Cristiano Matos is doing awesome work by putting a good rom together. He deserves more praise than a boot animation.
Very good rom!!!
Hello Christiano Matos,
VERY much thanks for this good rom - i've installed your rom and i must say the best KK 4.4.4 rom so far for our GalaxyS3!
Your rom is fast and stable, all works fine for me but one thing i've seen is that Google SoundSearch won't work Is it possible to get Google SoundSearch to work? If yes it would be perfect...
Sorry for my bad english.
Greetings from Hallstadt/Germany
Christian

Confirmed! Thanks for the warning. Will try to fix it in next builds
EDIT: fixed: https://github.com/cristianomatos/a...mmit/7fda2a4d17ca05792b044e2ef766b7964e04f472
silly question about installation instructions provided in first page.
usually, i make a full wipe, install rom/gapps. first time i encounter instructions to flash the rom/gapps and only after it make the wipe! won't it be better to do this the first way i mentioned?
also, when you say DATA wipe you mean full wipe?
thanks, and sorry again for stupid questions, but i don't feel like bricking my phone, prefer to be sure .

Nice rom
this rom works smoothly.but, some bugs are presented
*contacts can't backup
*dsp manager has stopped when playing songs from music player
otherwise the rom is awesome sorry for my bad english.
Good luck with your new build for the Tab2 family! A ROM with features from different ROMs like SlimKat, AOSPA, OmniROM and the optimizations of CyanogenMod that combined as one ROM might fulfill our needs! Thank you! :highfive:
Just flashed with paranoid androids stock gapps. No force closes, buttery smooth and feature packed. Good Job:good:

bugs?
Just come to report, it's become rare now in here a roms with ton of feature from every base rom.
the major problems would be a peformance hit for me. it become lag when i activate the features (hover/heads up/halo then pie etc)
Looking forward for this developemnet, thanks! :good:
One question?
Do this has android lollipop recent apps?
dsb not work to me, please fix that
Really Awesome Rom with more awesome features. The screen unlock that works after flipping the cover is so cool and the notifications. Nice work bro. Keep it up.
One feature request.
Can you add the recents from Paranoid Android?
And screen lock after flipping the cover back.
That would be freaking awesome

GAPPS PICO MODULAR 35 MB
Yes you can flash the zip like that, no problem.
You can also rename the boot.img (if you are multiple .img) , put it in flashtool folder and delete it in the .zip

Based on latest lx so it will work with latest lx kernel.
One more question:
I will be moving from Racing Speed ROM (JB 4.1.2) - link here.
Should I follow a "standard" procedure (as described in the first post) or habe to take additional stepl (like format system, etc)?
