Insert a Shutdown animation! - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi XDA - helpers =) !
Someone knows how to put a shutanimation on android lollipop on AOSP or CM12 based rom?
On gzRom I found an apk called "shutdown...thing.apk" (probably it controls the Unicorn-shutanimation...thingy) and I'm studying it!
On the other rom I can't find anything.
I tryied to put a shutanimation.zip on system/media/ with Octal 1664 a.k.a rw-r--r-T but nothing happend!
I tryied on system/media/shutdown too! =(
I maded a Frozen Bootanimation (and it works =P and with my homemade frozen theme engine it's awesome) and I'd like to put a shut-animation too!
Thanks in advance!
(Making a perfect phone for a Frozen Fan! :silly: )

[BOOT][DK28][CWM3][01/19/11] CIA Boot Animation - Edify/Amend

Requirements:
- DK28 ROM with kernel that can run custom boot animations (Bonsai4All, ViperROM, etc)
- Ability to boot into ClockWorkMod Recovery (any version) and flash a .zip file
What is it?
- As requested by lazydazed, a working CIA boot animation (I ported fromTP2); I made a few modifications to my liking
- Won't overwrite your existing boot sound
- The preview plays pretty quick, but the actual speed on the device is appropriate
PREVIEW
Instructions:
- Download .zip to SD Card
- Flash in CWM (all versions of CWM supported)
Download updated 01/19/11 - now supports all version of CWM recovery
looks great! nice job
Thanks!

Very Nice Sir! thank you very much (and clicked ).. i had forgotten all about that old .nbh i made until i realized how much i dont like my current roms bootsplash..shhhh..lol
p.s. i think that was the exact order it went in as well.. well done

how about a tutorial thread?
I flashed it via Clockwork and it didn't show during bootup. I'm pretty sure I did everything right. I'll try reflashing. ACS DK28 Stock rom
I don't think acs' stok kernel supports custom boot animations out of the box. Maybe try one of the Bonsai roms or maybe swap thekernels and see if that does the trick

Correct, this (or any custom boot animation) will not run on a stock kernel.
Yea, I kind of figured that was the problem. Total sadface on that. Thanks for the info.

I had wondered what kind of shutdown animation would fit. I was fooling around with the logo in After Effects seeing if there was a way I could make it disappear in a way similar to turning off an old tube tv set. Couldn't figure it out and moved on to other things.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I was thinking something simple like "Backing up Level 7 Encrypted Files" in green with a flashing command prompt. Then some cryptic text can fill off the command prompt. Maybe then some text could pop up saying something to the effect of, "Logging Off"
Just simple and secretive
Will this work on a DI18 rom that supports boot animations?

can y make a flashable zip.....?
If enough people wish for one and I have the time then yes I will make one. =)
You didn't happen to take this from Sonny?
I've seen a bunch of these threads and each Bootanimation is a difderent size. I'm a little confused. 5MBs, 3.4, 8.2......
Btw, Sonny has flashable zips.

i can confirm that flashing with boot animation factory on a windows xp computer (no, its not mine ) worked for me. for those of you asking for previews, there is youtube link in the op, and a link to a gif for those of you without youtube access.
