[Q] Antenna Connector - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

Hi,
I had a problem with my I9305's power switch. When disconnecting the cables, the supposed antenna cable, instead of disconnecting itself from the connector, it came with it, breaking the solder.
I was able (at least until now) to solve the power switch issue and can't find anything not working. Neither the 4G/3G nor the GPS. As the solder broke, I was unable to plug it in again, so, I think that probably something shouldn't be woking proper. What should it be?
The broken solder/cable was:

Hello,
I just had the same problem and I'm really disapointed :/
I was thinking of a kind of conductive glue but are you sure that everything is working fine without repairing this connector ?
What is the use of this antenna ?
thanks.

I'm using it since that post and nothing seems to be failing.
I've done a small trip with both 4G and GPS on (GMaps) and it worked flawlessly.

Thanks for your quick reply
I'm starting to breath again a little bit ...
According to this this thread on post 7,8 and 9 , this antenna should be used for Wifi N or 3G. (Hope it's not 3g)
bye

[SOLVED] Suddenly my Xperia T has no signal

From yesterday on my Xperia T doesn't have any signal, I cannot search a Network neither. I don't know why or how happened, just did.
I clean-flashed the 4.3 Stock Rom with Flashtool but it doesn't work. I'm going to try to switch SIMs with my girlfriend so I can see wether it's a phone or SIMcard problem. Any hints about this? Never happened before
Well, it's my phone's problem, my SIM has signal in my gf's phone but her SIM doesn't have signal in mine
I fixed it.
To anyone else having the same problem:
1. Shutdown the phone.
2. Disassemble the phone. There are plenty of tutorials if you don't know how.
2. Find this connector and unplug it.

3. After a few seconds, plug it back again (when you do, you should hear a 'click' sound)
4. Reassemble the phone.
That should work, at least did work for me. This is the second hardware problem I had (the first one was the battery not charging offline issue) and both of them were just fixed by detaching and plug in back their respective connectors. If I would have sent this to Sony i'm sure they would have asked me to pay a lot of money for repairing it.

I also have an LG G3 and that phone is not having any trouble getting connected to my wifi router transmitting on that band.
TIA.-
PD: Both phones are rooted in case this helps

mmmm... but that would mean to lost everything I've installed (apps) there right?
I mean, like performing a factory reset?

You really think that cheap LG 70 (LG-D320g8) would have the hardware to support dual band wifi?

Turn Wifi off, then back on a few seconds later with a bluetooth if/then trigger?

OK. A little background.
One of the devices I use with my phone is an OBDII "scanner" for my vehicle. They make various types. Plugin (don't like that kind, can't charge my phone at the same kind), bluetooth (don't like that kind, can't listen to my phone's music while it's paired to the OBDII device)...and a WIFI connection device.
This is the one I landed on using. The problem is, it doesn't "release" the network connection. So hours later, in the house or halfway across town (from the car) I'll notice I've got no internet or phone service because the phone still thinks it's connected to the little OBDII scanner.
So my thought was, a little script to watch for my bluetooth to UNpair from my vehicle's bluetooth (when I get out, to go in the house/work), where it would turn off the wifi for like 30 seconds, forcing the phone to drop the OBDII(wifi) so it could acquire my home wifi.
Is this do-able with an un-rooted phone? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
