I don't think that S3 Alpha is similar to S3 LTE Int. But if it is you can try kernels from I9305(and no developer will work on device that he doesn't have)
judging by the specs it might be the same phone, same processor, same sensors etc. Only the CPU clocks higher than the one in the i9305 with 1.6Ghz (like Note 2) than the 1.4Ghz in our phone. This article compares the S3 Alpha to the Note 2, stating it has the same specs as the Note 2.
You could ask a dev or try a kernel which was meant for the i9305 or Note 2 on your own responsibility.

did you flash one for i9305? I assume it's a soft brick. What kernel did you flash in the first place?

Because we don't have the GPU sources for the GT-S5830i to build CyanogenMod, no 7.2, no 9, neither 10.
The GT-S5830 has another GPU (Adreno 200) than the GT-S5830i/M/C/9i (Broadcom VideoCore IV (HW) BCM2763).
Also it has another CPU, the old Ace has an QualComm MSM7227, the new Ace an Broadcom BCM21553.
The Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 has the same hardware as the GT-S5830i, so if it has a custom ROM (CyanogenMod), we'll (and of course you'll) have it too.
You have to build a ROM from sources. If you miss a part, you cannot build the ROM.
It's not that if you build the ROM without the GPU sources, and you get the GPU sources later, you can build them and add them to the ROM. You have to build everything at the same time, together. (Needs vertification.)
So if we get the GPU sources, we can build CyanogenMod.

Hi Forum,
I just read the S4 received an update to 4.2.2 which enables App2SD again for them.
Now that I miss this feature a lot even though I'm running a 4.2.2 ROM - can any in here tell me how to reenable it on an AOSP ROM?
you can't reenable it because it was never enabled
Well, OK, wrong word. It used to be available until 4.1.x, but it's not anymore since 4.2
Nevertheless, I'd like to see it again and wondered if anybody knew a way to get it back?
no, it wasn't available in 4.1 actually. And there is no official 4.2 for the S3

There is no official (samsung) 4.2 yet for S3 lte but there a 'leaked 4.2 rom' for S3. S4 has received a 4.2.2 update enabling App2SD. I have both S4 and S3 lte, and waiting for official 4.2 for the S3 lte possibly end of june.

Unfortunately, it's been delayed by Samsung according to this:
http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/478623/20130614/samsung-delays-galaxy-s3-note-2-android.htm
You can always use "folder mount" from play store. It works with 4.2.2

I saw the S4 ROM`s available for Micro-max mobile as a custom ROM.. so just want to try my I9000 can be update to firmware since Samsung is stopped the original firmware update.
currently, I am using MIUI ROM custom on I9000.. it`s good & I am happy..but looking for Samsung new firmware..

Those are not ROM ports mate , it's just about theming some core apps like a Touchwiz ( SGS 4 ) rom. You can find such several ports in the development section.
What you're seeing is s4-look ROMs for s1, not actual s4 ROMs that you can flash on an s1.
That's a sure fire way to brick your phone..

Yes.... he could use it, only for 5 seconds during flashing, and then never again, neither phone nor rom.
Not even 5 seconds. I think Odin would fail almost immediately.
The Micromax have rom ports that (quite accurately) resemble the S4 because they take stock 4.2.x roms and theme/mod them. The S doesn't have this option

Hi, I'm planning to purchase a Galaxy s3 mini.
Which version should I buy for the best compatibility with the published roms and kernels?
And do CM developed ROMs for this phone are bugless?
I ask because the roms for galaxy s2 are not fully compatible because of lack of source code.
I'm looking for a bugless rom with good battery life and faster ui than the stock.

Only one s3 mini is available not others. If you are talking about gti8190 or gti8190N or gti8190L I think i8190 but these are really very simiral and have same Roms. I8190n had NFC support but I don't know what it is! I8190L I think is for north America but I'm not sure...
hi developers i wan ask u 1 question
can i install i9220 firmwares on our beloved n7000 note
i heard that both are similar mobiles
i tried installing roms , roms are working good
reply fast
thanks in advance
So, have u installed a Rom or not?
I9220 has only 1.2 GHz CPU
Firmwares as in official firmwares? It may not be possible. If you want to you can take a risk.
so you installed i9220 firmwares on your beloved n7000 note ??? if yes then tell me how is it?
if they have different cpu speed it'll cause kernel problem with n7000 kernel. it built max 1400 mhz.
No, because it is the same when you only use 1.2 GHz within N7000 kernel. In i9220 1.2 GHz is max. Speed. No way to have more power and if you flash such rom with bootloader included there is now way back to N7000 Roms! So for what should that be good to flash i9200 rom?
